I agree with you. The ring is beautiful for sure, but I see what you are saying about the stone. I guess the key is to just go for VVS1 COLOR D options only.
Please don’t go to East West. They will show you a beautiful shinny ring then mail you a cloudy one. Mines was cloudy too. We had to get me a new ring because I hated it! But that was just me. Trust your gut.
For a crushed ice, it’s not that sparkly. Usually the light bounces like crazy. Maybe it’s the lighting? I own moissanite. I love the radiant cut, too.

I have a ring from East West and it's beautiful! I got it last year and bought it purely online (never went to the showroom). It only took a couple weeks. I tried to get a custom ring but they were a little more difficult to work with. I have a ring from Golden Bird on Etsy being made now. 💖
Beautiful! Personally, I love a more detailed band. Mine is white gold. It has an eternity swirl design with roses (made of rose gold) on the sides. Only a 1.30 center stone but mine does have diamond accents on both the engagement ring and wedding band. It’s perfect for me. I work with my hands so it’s lower profile but more detailed and definitely has bling! 😁 Originally about $5,000 (for the set) but we caught a sale and got it for $3,800! My boyfriend was quite impressed with my pick as well 😊
What kind of moissanite is your's? You mentioned ice. This ring doesn't seem to have much sparkle, but this might be what you want. I prefer tons of sparkle. But Congrats. :)

He did virtual video meetings with them and they sent him videos of my stone and my band throughout the process.

If your willing to get a temporary ring similar to the one you want that’s more affordable try everly rings they look very very similar in style to east west to rings but are cz not moissanite still stunning and great quality... maybe good until you can upgrade

We just ordered my rings through brilliant earth. My moissanite alone cost a little under 2k super premium cut D non colorless in a 2.1 ct. (9x7) Getting the ring of my dreams was a mission my bf REFUSED to get me a moissanite. Then finally he compromised and said if i get you a moissanite it has to be top notch with REAL bands/ring setting. I was so happy!! And now I wait for the proposal. My ring is almost similar to your except like I said it's an oval solitaire with a hidden halo on 18k eternity diamond band the band is thin so that i can stack them later. I like the 3 ring look if my bf decides to get me a plain band for an anniversary. All together my two rings with the gem was a little over 6k amazing savings considering the diamond alone at the jewelers was going to cost 6k for a low grade Quality diamond.

Just fyi the larger the moissanite the lower quality it will look. It loses color and brilliance the larger it goes. You really want to go with charles and Colvard moissanite it's the industry standard best stuff out there and around 1 1.5 to 2 carats look the best and are very beautiful. You want it to look like a wedding ring not costume jewelry or cocktail ring. Demure is class 😉

No, we are very honest and open with one another. I was not going to settle for something that I was not satisfied in. I still have the first ring he gave me. Also many people get upgrades, add onto their ring, change the ring and keep the original stone. I only said that once not multiple times, a ring is something that you keep for a lifetime and if I’m not happy with it why would I pretend I am?

Did it not hurt your fiance's feelings that you weren't ever satisfied with a ring and the others weren't sentimental? I've never heard of anyone changing their ring like that and multiple times saying "I gave him a pass on that" my goodness 😬
No, we are very honest and open with one another. I was not going to settle for something that I was not satisfied in. I still have the first ring he gave me. Also many people get upgrades, add onto their ring, change the ring and keep the original stone. I only said that once not multiple times, a ring is something that you keep for a lifetime and if I’m not happy with it why would I pretend I am?
How has the ring held up?
The ring is in great condition no stones have fallen out, no chips, it looks good as new!
I didn't get a moissanite because my husband is a traditional guy so he got me a diamond ring. It only cost 3000. I wonder if this depends on the jewelry shops on price? Wherever you were looking for a diamond is ridiculously overpriced. 10,000? TF lol

Francis Balgos emeralds are a different stone, it doesn’t look like a diamond.
I meant Emerald cut, the rectangular step cuts mostly done on Emerald stones. I dont know about this radiant cut that you mention in the video. I could probably check with lapidary sites or just look it up.
Ok I got it now. Radiant cut is a combination of Emerald and Brilliant cut.
