Our wedding anniversary is coming up. 21 years. I have a brand new setting now in all rose gold instead of 2 tone yellow with white prongs. Im still staring at my ring after over 2 decades!
Love this!!! Congrats!! I’ve been married 11 yrs and I still stare at my ring daily! It’s not huge, it’s a 1K but I never thought I would ever have something so expensive or beautiful! My #1 tip is to get insurance in case gets lost. Also our jeweler said to clean it in denture cleaner and it really works! My wedding ring is an eternity band that goes all the way around and i reccomend that so when it turns around while u are just going about the day and using your hands stlll looks the same.

Beautiful ring. I would get a plain platinum band and then an eternity band. The reason is as you move through life you will find it nice to just wear a simple band when doing certain activities. Congrats to you 2!

That feeling doesn't seem to go away, at least for me. I've been married for 7 years now and was engaged for 2 years before we got married, and I still catch myself staring and smiling at my ring. What it represents still feels so special! I'm so so happy for you!

So so so happy for you!!! I definitely agree that there shouldn’t be any complete surprise engagements! That’s a huge thing to commit to without having a conversation first in my option. I also love the video about what you like/wanted in a ring! I think it’s useful for other people in getting ideas :) I also love that the band of yours looks durable but not too thick!
My engagement ring also tapers in like yours. I also loved this little detail and while I've seen it a few times on various websites, I've never seen anyone else with it in person and it doesn't seem to be overly popular (which I love). It does make the diamond appear bigger and is just a little, delicate trick of the eye. I think it feels a bit feminine. Shockingly, my husband did this on his own! I told him what shape I wanted the center stone and a size range in just a plain band/setting. He managed to find a setting that did have a few dainty side stones along that taper and I love it! I have 2 wedding bands. The first one is a "standard" diamond band. No taper or anything. For our 1st anniversary I got a Tiffany gold band, so I did go designer with a thin, simple gold band (very royal family with their Welsh gold wedding bands). I wear that in middle and it's just enough. I don't feel like my center stone is competing with too much bling, but it's just different enough to grab attention. Not everyone loves the mixed metals (engagement and wedding ring are platinum and anniversary ring is yellow gold), but I love it and it matches that mixed metal rolex I've been eyeing😂.

Wow! You did well my dear! It’s beautiful! I’m an accountant and you are definitely allowed to round up and say it’s 4 carats! Lol. Also, unless it’s too late to suggest this, consider a ring guard. That’s where your ring sits down into another “ring” that has an opening big enough for your diamond. It can be a nestle of smaller diamonds and depending on the design can accentuate that GORGEOUS DIAMOND. (I’m sure your jeweler can explain this better than me). Love from Texas ❤ !
You were so smart about your ring. Designer names are nice in somethings but you get more for your money when you go non-designer. I'm glad you showed it close up. I didn't realize it was a cushion cut. That is my favorite cut. From afar it looked more oval. Such a beautiful ring!

I love love love 💕 your ring! Mine was oval I did platinum round the first time lol 😅 and oval with a brushed matte gold and three sizes of matte gold wedding rings…for the the LAST ha! I was cheap the second one and did moissaanite oh and we got married during Rona and the hand sanitizer messed up my matte gold 😢 ha but Taylor soooo happy for you girl!!! Make sure you get your ring specifically listed and insured as part of your renters insurance policy - jewelry is not automatically covered. It would be awful if it were lost or stolen, of course, but even worse if it wasn’t insured because it would be a total loss. You will need the receipt as well as an inspection document from a certified gemologist (which will also include specialized photos of the facets and internal structures). I’ve had my rings as long as you’ve been alive, and I still stare at it all the time. My rings are family heirloom pieces, and the setting of the solitaire is called a “split Tiffany”, or “fishtail” - the tips of the prongs are split in two, which makes the stone almost appear square rather than brilliant cut. I like it because it’s very vintage (goes back 4 generations!,) and different. When I received my eternity ring on an anniversary I chose to have the 3 rings soldered together because they were sliding around in different directions on my finger, which was annoying. Now they are always perfectly in place. I know you will treasure your ring forever.

Haha…my answer is no, you don’t ever get used to the beautiful ring giving to you by the one you love, and that loves you. I still stare at mine every single day, and I’ve been married for many years. On your wedding band, I was going to do the diamonds all the way around as well. But my jeweler said why put diamonds behind your finger where you will never see them.That made sense to me, so I just have them on the front of my band. Plus, you can go with larger stones that way. 💖🌸 Cannot wait for the wedding dress shopping to begin! I’d love to see you in a LoveShackFancy bridal gown, but I guess we will see!
Your ring is beautiful. Congratulations! I've been married for 22 years, and I still look at the beautiful, colorless radiant cut diamond ring. You'll always look at it, sometimes more often than others. :-) I agree, a GIA certification is a must, as they are the foremost independent diamond grading institute. Your setting is not a basket setting; it's a 4-prong setting. I had a platinum basket setting for, but it's now set in 4 round prong. You may like a 3/4 diamond wedding band. instead of a eternity band. In this way, the bottom of the ring will just be the platinum. Whatever you choose, it will be lovely!

I would recommend getting a basket for under the diamond, just in case one of the prongs gets loose you wont loose youre diamond as fast

For a stone of that size you should really have a basket added to the ring. Any shape that isn't round- if it rotates in the prongs it could fall out!

I would go with a full eternity wedding band if you have a plain engagement band (no pave). It will definitely bring out the contrast if that is what you are looking for. Your diamond stone is already big, I won't worry about the full eternity wedding band will take over the center stone.

If that is a natural diamond with those specifications (3.82carat, VVS1, color G) , it would easily cost 50k. And I am guessing it may be a lot more. The larger the diamond the more it cost obviously. But a 2 carat ring for example is far more than a one carat because the stone is more rare. Where if you had a ring with a total carat weight of 3.82 it would be quite cheap in comparison. Small little diamonds are plentiful and inexpensive.
It’s so pretty! Be careful about diamonds going all the way around… it can snag clothes! Just something to consider.

Lyle should be upset at this no one has ever done these ring videos!!!! Then you meet with fans for coffee you are being a bit too open. No one needs to know everything!!!! (Try romanticizing being mugged or potentially getting murdered for your diamond ring.)
If you ever come to Europe on holiday don't wear it😂😂. We do not wear such big rings over here. People will think it is fake even if you are rich. Over here 1 carat is huge. I have 1.3 carat and cannot wear it without someone making a dumb comment😂😂
