That Vulcan doctor is more insightful than any Vulcan I've ever heard of save for Soval. She actually acknowledges human emotion and doesn't denigrate it. And for her to touch his hand like she did is almost unprecedented. Vulcans are touch telepaths. For her to open herself that way speaks of her quality as a physician. Of course she has to touch others in her day to day duties, but to do it as a show of emotional support? He could have done a lot worse for the position of Chief Surgeon; a whole hell of a lot worse.
Since this had intentional ties to ENT, kinda makes me wonder if Soval and others had developed into pioneers of a new school of thought, viewing humans not as primitive children, but as "a road not taken", since both races were defined by a historic shift due to their world almost getting torn apart as a result of their emotionally fueled dark sides unleashing insane horrors. The Vulcans split into two radically different cultures and humans took their own path. And as part of that, a kind of drive to want to know more about something foreign (like a fascination for foreign cultures in our time) led to some Vulcans studying these topics, some of them gaining a quite solid understanding for human psychology in theory and practice.

Hi, I just wanted to let you and your team know that I loved these videos. I just watched all of the episodes and particularly the last episode really struck me emotionally. I like the mix of humour and the genuine original trek series feel to the whole thing. The special effects are pretty darn good too. I am looking forward to seeing how this story continues. I can't understand why they haven't had more views, a real hidden treasure. Thanks so much for making them.
Very well written and carried out. Well done to all involved. One of the hazards and the most feared of having command is the idea that one may have to send someone, even a close friend to their demise. It's never an easy thing to do, and it's hard to accept. If it ever got easy, that person should not be in command.
This is what science fiction is about. Avalon gave us the space action we crave for. The dramatic background was a plus. The story was well balanced with the crew's personal issues. Not overkill like the other Star Trek shows that had a soap opera feel to the point of boredom. Please give us more! Thank you.
Trek fan for as long as I can remember....this goes to show that you can have a series set in the TOS timeline with a different ship and crew and still have a great story and interesting characters.....please keep up the good work...
The commander number one is exceptionally gifted as an actor and has good range. The captain and rest are fairly good too. The ship design is very accurate with some good updates on bridge for monitor screens better than original. The exterior space battles, fire bursts, and ship design is very well done in production. Overall very good production!
Okay that gave me chills. Thank you Avalon folks for keeping that crazy beautiful Great Bird of the Galaxy up in the sky. This may not be an exact replica, and may not be exactly what Gene Roddenberry had in mind, but this goes one better. It's a fresh new take at what makes Roddenberry's vision so appealing after all these years without being overburdened by nostalgia. Perhaps a little ham fisted and melodramatic, but TOS was that too and a bag of chips. Nicely done. Looking forward to future endeavors. Thank you. LLAP.

what i really like about this is that you can see, especially in the captains behavior how much he is affected. he doesnt hide it as well as his first XO.
You gius really are killing this. By far the best star trek fan fiction made.
Very well written and carried out. Well done to all involved. One of the hazards and the most feared of having command is the idea that one may have to send someone, even a close friend to their demise. It's never an easy thing to do, and it's hard to accept. If it ever got easy, that person should not be in command.
Thank you for your kind words, and for watching our Film!
This is what science fiction is about. Avalon gave us the space action we crave for. The dramatic background was a plus. The story was well balanced with the crew's personal issues. Not overkill like the other Star Trek shows that had a soap opera feel to the point of boredom. Please give us more! Thank you.
Thank you. Thank you for this wonderful creation. Please continue to make more. Live long and prosper. 🖖
Excellent. Constitution Starships are the best. Good job to all who worked on this, So very good. Thumbs up.
Thank You, Avalon. An hour episode distilled to 16 minutes! ST 'Whiskey' for the soul! Please keep going.
Excellent.... One of the very best Fan Productions.
Trek fan for as long as I can remember....this goes to show that you can have a series set in the TOS timeline with a different ship and crew and still have a great story and interesting characters.....please keep up the good work...
Excellent two part show. Loved it. Keep them coming.
The commander number one is exceptionally gifted as an actor and has good range. The captain and rest are fairly good too. The ship design is very accurate with some good updates on bridge for monitor screens better than original. The exterior space battles, fire bursts, and ship design is very well done in production. Overall very good production!
Captain Keanu Reeves takes a little getting used too but I am loving Lt.Commander Beck, her acting and back story are getting better and better
Wow! Great sets and awesome acting. WELL DONE!! Thank you!
You guys nail it. More feeling and character development in 15 mins than in a hr episode of std.
Love it! Never seen a Klingon BoP on TOS. It looked good. And the nod to "good shooting Mr Scott" was cool.
Makitta Sam Cockings and his team did a great job creating an original Avalon Universe BOP
I’m only two episodes in, but I’ve been impressed from the first episode at the research and acting that went into these episodes. Absolutely amazing!
Excellent and thank you. Keep on keepin; on. PLEASE!!!! And Happy Eggnog Holidays!!!!! Love you folks!!!!
Thank you for your kind words!
Thank you. LLAP.
Wow!!! This is the best thing I've seen in a looong time after stumbling across Ghost Ship and I just binge watched all 5 of the episodes. When can we see more? I really hope none of the other main characters die...was really liking Mason and Archer 🤯 Excellent writing, acting, production. This has been a real treat. This is what "Discovery" should have been.
if you want to see more then support with your $$ at the next patreon!

@@power543 Are you part of the production team? Bring Archer back and we can talk. Not going to support something where you kill off characters right after you get the audience attached to them 😉
Yes im the one thats doing all the space VFX and designing the new ships!
well all i can say is...while she will never be alive again..watch out for episode 3..its darn exciteing ;)
@@power543 When is it going to come out? And you did a great job! Impressive! Can you send me a PM with your email?
Wow. I'm not sure what I expected from a fan production, but you guys blew me away! The acting was pretty good, but I love that you stayed faithful to The Original Series aesthetics. Star Trek Discovery should have done that, but didn't. And the CGI is top notch. Great job guys!
I love fan films for the stories. Always Heartwarming, professional colleagues. But the production values here are top quality. I am so enjoying this. 👍👍
Bravo!!! Bravo!!! Both Segments were super, I waited for the 2nd part before watching them both, great story and portrayal by all, great work beyond the camera putting it together, a super fan film, thank you all for your time and sharing your visual magic
Great series. Captain is a bit weepy for my taste but still like the series. Sorry to see the engineer was lost, she was cute! I hope you make more episodes!
Your videos are super cool. The acting is great and the fx add to the realism that makes a perfect fit into canon
This is great. I love how you're building up the story. There is real character developement. Great job from everyone.
This is an excellent production. Really feels like this was happening just offscreen in the original series. The updated tech is just the right approach in my opinion. And the characters are people we can care about. This production displays remarkable attention to detail. It must be a tremendous amount of work but I look forward to more!
Good job with this production and I was really impressed with how you made the Vulcan Doctor understand what the Capt was going through without taking away the fact that she was a Vulcan! 👍
That was awesome! I loved it. Great acting and excellent CGI work. wonderful stuff guys! Really looking foward to your next work. Thank you so much for this.
Hooked me in about 10 seconds, unlike some of the other fan films. Great Job!!
Star Trek lives. Thank you.
I loved the way they snookered the Klingon.
Well done! Hope there are more to come! I have subscribed!
Excellent job, well-written... excellent "message", much in line with TOS.
Excellent!!!! The best fan film I have seen. Hope there more to come, this would make a great series.
Very nicely done. Thank you for an enjoyable production.
I don`t know how many times I`ve saw this Interlude made me watch this again
Damn, this is awesome!
Story, acting, sets, music, editing and visual effects are just wunderful.
Thank you, it was really a pleasure to watch this! 🖖🏻
Love your interpretation of star trek love to see more of it if possible.
WOW!! Well done Avalon cast and crew -- these episodes are very impressive!! 🌎💫⭐
Not sure why I was not subscribed. I am so glad I was able to donate to this project. this was absolutely awesome.
Thank you Darren!
Avalon Universe any time. Josh and Victoria are awesome. And the other actors took me to TOS from another mother
Amanda Beck (Victoria Fox) is terrific in this episode! Captain Lance Ramirez (Chuck Mere') as well.
Wow. The Vulcan doctor might be my favorite character excellent work from Courtney Jensen.
Agree, excellent acting, solid plot and professional production.
