This is officially our third or fourth look at titus stats, which i think is really interesting. He had the super stripped down rules in his little board game, then a special rule to be added to the most recent Space Marine Adventures board game, and then this and his Kill Team datasheet came out simultaneously, and there's a considerable amount of continuity and it's really interesting to see how they interpret him across basically the full spectrum of 40k-related games
He’s pretty good at joining Hellblasters tbh, pair him with a Apothecary and you got a unit that’s very annoying to kill. Shoot on death, revives, and a melee threat if you charge. Oh and also sustained hits on the plasma guns
@@patrickjoyce7510 True but if you're running the gladius task force that combo is more expensive and less effective than just taking 10 Hellblasters+a regular lieutenant with the Bolter Discipline enhancement Titus+10 Hellblasters+Apothecary is 350 for Sustained Hits 1 and revive a model per turn, whereas Lieutenant+Bolter Discipline+10 Hellblasters is 335 for Sustained Hits 1, Lethal Hits, and 5+ crits in the one doctrine.
I like that Titus is finally getting a datasheet for the tabletop game. It's a neat datasheet, but I don't know why he doesn't have an invulnerable save. He is an epic hero character and a 5+ Feel No Pain is not a reliable means of damage reduction. Give him a 4+ Invulnerable Save, then he'll be golden.
It would've been nice if he had the same load out as a regular lieutenant, seeing as how you cycle through so many weapons options in game. I like him, he's not the worst space marine character, but he's not superior to the generic lieutenant
it is missing that gameplay aspect. To get that back, using generic Lt rules would be the only option. We have seen in 10th ed that GW rules have to match GW models as they are built (with few exceptions)
My titus has been painted as a Dark Angel with the ultramarine toilet seats filed off since he was released in the board game. Looks like i will keep proxying him as a standard LT.
a Lt could only join Titus if the Lt rules let them join another Lt. The best you can do is have an apothecary with Titus (which would make for an awesome Hellblaster squad)
@ you are right, unlike with other armies the space marines rules specify which models can join which units. But apothecary could join Titus so I’ll take that as a win. Although funny enough, rules as written, neither Titus or a regular lieutenant can join a unit containing an apothecary. The apothecary could join them but not the other way around. I wonder if I can catch anyone out with this specific order.
I am willing to accept Titus is not a good Character to bring if the video took on all applications and made a case for why he is still worse than a regular lieutenant. Attaching Titus to a Squad of Hellblasters gives them Sustained 1 and if you dont want to give your Fire Discipline to them because you want your Aggressors or Eradicators to have Fire Discipline then having access to Titus is a way to do it. Ultramarines are also using the Vanguard Detachment a lot and not to mention the occasional Ironstorm as showcased in the World Championships and in either case, you dont have access to Fire Discipline and in the case of the Ironstorm, if you want a skirmishing unit that deals with infantry, Titus is your man. Are these corner cases not worth mentioning? I dont think so. These are how the Ultramarines are run competitively thus making this review lacking.

ive been proxying titus as a normal LT. since the boardgame dropped, super pumped for him to have his own rules even if they arent super strong

He is there for a bit of fun and probably shouldn’t be taken too seriously.
Now we just need a Malum Caedo model…..
Oh boy a new Lieutenant!
FOR THE EMPEROR!
FOR SMURF DADDY!
Yep, an easy and worthwhile kitbash project there.

That's because the iron halo is what gives the invul effect, and that's inbuilt wargear reserved for captains up.
I had toyed with the idea of making a Company Heros unit around him but I guess not now

Very informative
At 8 melee attacks. That is a lot of potential damage. Especially with a chaplain attached to the squad( if possible)
you can't double up broody Chaplain man with Titus. They don't get on
@ChristianVonCarmian40kVtuber aww... Wanted to field a leandros chaplain.... 😭
Hellblasters is still going to be where Titus goes. It’s just another big damage unit for Gladius.
Why can titus attach to Blade Guard, and Hellblasters if he can't take the correct equipment for those squads?
I think the limitation only applies to captains. Which is dumb.

Your wrong, while Lieutenant Titas can’t join another character he can be joined by another character so you squad could have two lieutenants in it.

Good points, but put across abit on the spectrum-like
Plot Twist: Titus is not a name but a job descriptor, like Apothecary Biologis or Tech Priest Dominus 😂
