just had a bad fall while commuting and hit my face real good, my biggest takeaway was I want face protection and not just concussion protection and this looks perfect. you know, after the broken arm and fingers heal and riding is even possible... I wasn't even doing anything dangerous, only going about 10mph just slid down a near sheer drainage ditch because i was checking for traffic. really bad injury from a true "unforced" error.
heed this those who question whether a full face helmet is needed: I bit my lip in about four or five places and sheered most of my left cheek, upper, lip and nose's skin off. And I was going SLOW.
Im honestly thinking of getting one of these as my daily commuter helmet for my ebike. A person can never have enough protection, and especially at the higher speeds of an ebike and the lower IQ of some drivers.
see my comment above, it's basically a necessity for commuting if you have to ride on a street. It's not the speed that got me. You won't be hitting nice "soft" dirt if/when you fall.
Please throw us a bone on what size of Mainline helmet you wear, and what size of head you have. I'm right in the middle of a size medium, and size large.
I just put fabric tape from Amazon between the mips liner and the foam and it got rid of the noise. It takes a bit of time to cut the tape to size and cover all the spots which make noise, but it fixed the problem for me
I love my Smith Mainline, highly recommend it to anyone riding aggressive trails!
Kevin.. is there a GoPro mount that works with this helmet..? the SmithOptics Forefront II had a bolt on camera mount..

Dainese linea 01 os lighter with more vents(31)at 570grams
New Limar Livigno is 590 grams, but may only have sbout 25ish vents
Was that trail you were riding sycamore canyon by the riverside jenson?
Yes, the Ammo Dump side.
First time in a proper bike park and ate the handlebar ok the last jump. That fullface helmet would have saved my from that swollen lip for sure…
What type of head shape is it for? Oval, intermediate oval or long oval?

I definitely do not blame you on that one... Not a bad move!

I would definitely go with the large. I was in the same boat and tried the medium and it was way too small.
Getting One 😎
I Have A Session And Love It Fits My Head Perfectly 😎
Hey.
What about the mips noise? I read about that issue 😮
when youre riding you cant really hear it, or u can fix it by installing fibertape under the mips shell.

when you advertise a helmet, of course you don't talk about the bad points :D
@@0xANIMAx0 maybe for him there are no bad points.
Hater!!
@@paulpoppe6495 everyone says that sucks, of course I'm then immediately a hater, how stupid
