I have no Sympathy for my friend's mom and I'm really glad her dad kicked her mom out. For the past 8 months her mom is been cheating on her dad. Mostly he had to cancle 6 family trip, miss my friend's birthday and her dad's birthday, and miss date nights and outings. It was becoming more obvious until her aunt saw her mom kissing a guy at a steakhouse. Then one day she told my friend's dad she been cheating on him for 4 months. Her SIL called out her lying and told her the dad it was 8 months not 4 months. Well 2 weeks later he divorced her and kicked her out since it was his house. My friend cut contact from her mom because her mom didn't want custody of her she said it was fine because SIL more of a mom than her. That left her mom shocked I wasn't suprised because it's true she never asked my friend how was her day or what was happening in her life. Treated her like a chore it's been 10 years and calls her mom by her first name and treats her like a stranger.

I’m surprised that nobody brought this up but ur mom’s probably a cheater too. And the timid father probably enabled it. That’s probably why she doesn’t see what your wife did as something wrong

    Infidelity is a dealbreaker
How can people say that someone didn’t love their spouse enough to fight to save the marriage with a cheater. What…was cheating a show of spousal love? It’s not irony but outright gaslighting. Maybe a case of Birds of a feather?

I'm pretty sure the dad beat the mom up. Maybe the mom herself did cheat and got away with it, and the dad was like "I'm done holding it in" after realizing their son was undergoing what he's going through.

I am one of those people who have been destroyed. I gave everything I had into this relationship. She even said that was a great guy I was a good husband excellent father I did everything around the house dishes made dinner. I'm not saying I was perfect but I didn't deserve that. She was sleeping with my neighbor and I caught her and then after that she played the victim and she tried everything she could to make me suffer she turned my family against me. I'm almost in tears writing this. I have literally given up. Only thing I'm hanging on to is the relationship that I have with my kids. That is literally the only reason why I'm still here. Everybody is asking where are the good guys. We've been chewed up spit out and left for dead. I don't know if I could ever be in a relationship again

Thanks for telling me to. It's life, it's confusing, but this really put it in perspective. I can't get married now. There is no way I can trust a woman now. Even if she is really perfect, it's just a mask. Thanks. Thanks to all the op's, thanks to the dude who types it up for ai to read. Thanks Brando. 20 years and you have only given me the best advice, seriously, I'll take a bullet for ya any day of the year. Thank you all.

I understand OP, cheating for me too is an absolute mood destroyer, form loving to feeling nothing.
how can you love someone that clearly doesn't love you? why would you want to fix things if there is no trust left?
I too rather brake everything up to not waste my time anylonger with someone that is not worth that effort, Op's parents made their bed, one by actions the other by inactions.

People need to start treating women ♀ as people with autonomy.
The parents did not see her as a person capable of making her own decisions. That is the only way they could possibly take her side.

Honestly tired of these stories where they say it was the love of their life than immediately say they can't continue with them without any thoughts about it, it obviously wasn't the actual love of their life just someone they did love, but do agree parents were in the wrong supporting ex, but OP shouldn't be dishonest in his initial sayings and his regrets about being with her all along as no one would say that about someone they felt was their true love

  • @jogovender

It's insulting how people think chatting to someone other than your partner isn't cheating. When it really is... the fact that you're thinking about it enough to put your thoughts out in a chat to that someone means you've committed to doing it at some point.
