Did anyone else get disappointed once they saw it was a ram but then got excited when they saw it was a single cab ? 🤷🏼♂️😂
U
you better run 40's on that beast with F/R lockers. You owe it to the aussies over there!
Australian cops say no
kinda illegal
Will be on a truck license so definitely could do 😏
@@tomw6329if it’s over 4.5 ton gvm can be done
I wasn't big on the rams ,but seeing in as a single cab has put it in a different light.
👌
Check out the AEV Prospector XL
I was kinda hoping you’d do a Silverado build but it’s still gonna be a sick build though
1.5m box and run a 500cc quad for missions. Means you can still have a beer and rip around for a fish, instead of needing to be sober on a truck licence for the bigger gvm
I’ve dreamed of buying one of these for ages! Can’t wait for the build
Ever since seeing the renders of a single cab ram with a flat Aussie style try have loved them. Genuinely so keen to see this build.
Just loving that you’re so pumped up by Rams. They’re a bloody good rig and now this single cab build is going to be epic.
The cummins I-6 is a brilliant Donk . Good on fuel (i get between 12.5 -13.5 per 100km on mine) heaps of grunt and very dependable . looking forward to the build .
I'm so excited to see this build take shape! I've been wanting to build an overland single cab long bed RAM, so watching your build will be very motivating! Also, if AU emissions allow, definitely upgrade the intake to the Banks Monster Ram to prevent the factory grid heater death bolt from claiming your engine! That factory grid heater bolt melts and gets sucked into the engine! I recommend outfitting your engine with all Banks stuff, it's well proven! Can't wait to follow along!
Lovin the fact it’s going to be touring right been wanting to see one in Aussie and asa touring rig
Your Rebel blew the doors off my little BT50 yesterday (or Monday) on the Gateway MWY gave you a big wave!! Keep the awesome content coming mate!
Mate, this is sick. Something totally different, this will be so interesting. These single cabs do look sick with an aussie style tray. Im for single cabs all day! Tradesman spec is the go to. Uppa! 🤘
That's the plan!
When you were going on about a new platform etc etc, I assumed maybe a chev or Ford F truck or something but seeing another 2500 I’m a bit underwhelmed to be fair. Not that it’s a bad car but hopefully you do it right
Gotta love the single cab looking forward to seeing the build 👍🏻👍🏻👌👌😎
Looking forward to the build.
In the market for a tow rig for our upcoming lap so it'll be interesting to see this beast evolve
The saving grace was definitely the single cab, let’s go boys, can’t wait to see this build!!!
Great choice keen to see the build and the adventures 🤙🏻
I’m really excited for this build. I have fallen in love with the ram trucks since your last build!
Thanks mate! Appreciate it
This is going to be sick, cant wait too see the colour. I think sandy tough with all chrome blacked out. 4" inch lift with 40's 😍😍😍 no matter what is done i am sure it will be a show stopper cant wait
You and me both!
Damn! Thought it might have been a chopped Y62.
Makes sense that’s parts would be easier to get and still has an amazing V8 sound with decent GVM upgrades available as well.
Chopped Y62 would be an epic build too 👌
I like the vehicle and to be different and hope it a usa style build with their campers on the back. I see the trim level for reliability, but parts are still not available in aus, but there are so many rams now touring and haven't seen too many issues, but the warranty sucks here for them. Hope it's dark blue with your black logo on it
Dope truck, loving the regular cab spec! If you're looking for tuning to give it a bit more juice or a weight loss plan feel free to hit us up, we've setup a bunch of Aussies so far and would love to see that Cummins making the power we know it can!
Sickk! Very keen to see this build!
37's/40's decent lift, decent canopy with big ass tinny on the roof with van in tow! bring on barra fishing in the top end!
I drive a 06’ reg cab 2500 and I love it. Enjoy it!
Glad to hear it mate! I’m excited for this one 🙌
As long as you get rid of all that chrome, nothing worse.
Just to put it into perspective. Even in America, you usually have to order theses trucks from the factory as a single cab.
There you go! I had no idea
Looking forward to the end result!
Keep it up guys make it to be a beast and one of one in aus...
Great to have yahoo back in Oz fellas...geez...hope your onto it with that big beast. Do ya need a ladder to check the engine bay?
god dayuuumm. i chubbed up seeing that. im getting one!
Parts definitely aren't an issue if you know where to look. AusMV solve that problem 100%.
Crazy keen to see this build. Might have to upgrade the mighty 1500
So keen 🍻
The single cab will be a really cool build!
You should of got the new 70 series Land Cruiser it would be sick to see one on the channel
Wow how awesome the same 79 as they have been for a decade with led headlights
Nah they're nothing special
Thats easy. When you get back here (Australia), get yourself an ex-ADF Unimog and build that up! No issues with GVM, Build it lower than most, removable camper and dont go too wide.
Mega reliable, more capable and ... er, well, not exactly fast (unless you repower it). There's at least one in the states with an LS in it. There's at least one in Australia with a Brunswick Chev 6.5L Diesel in it.
Just watched past 1/2 way. Oh. Another RAM. ... :)
Yjat's actually pretty cool. I could have a full tray and still able to take my 2 kids camping with the 3 roomy seats compared to squishy 79 series bench seat
Yeah single cab, 6.7 L on the 2500 chassis will be a weapon.
The single cab 2500 has a 3.57m wheelbase thus shorter than 1500 bighorn 3.9m wheelbase.
Interesting a dodge with brown davis tanks to go in and your after reliability gee your off to a good start 😮 im going ya veiwers are going to love this adventure 😂me too , I'd stick with the white and clear coat the sides with that plastic rap stuff and white is rare and looks great if done properly
Frothin' the big 6.7 🤙
Would’ve been sick to have it get a mad lift and tyre pre rego so it doesn’t have as much hassle with engineering and going over the pits (similar to what Macca did with his 79 series Land Cruiser)
Hasnt been rego’d yet mate! Used a trade plate to get it to paint 👌
So so sickk!!! Lets goooo!!!
Go to AEG in the USA and get the 3 inch lift kit and clears and you can run 37-38 inch tires
Mad not keeping the white, bush scratches stand out less and it doesn't get as hot inside being in the sun.
Good call…but it’s a bit too boring ;)
Single cab looks awsome.
So excited hey 🙌
good to see something different mate
Brought a ram 1500 to tow a 2.5 tone trailer everyday to work and only put 30,000km on it and had nothing but issues with it. I’m going back to a 79 put 250,000km on my last one and had zero issues
Sorry to hear it mate, 79s are so good 👌
Regular Cab For The WIN! I chose a better one, but if you do 40's and a full AEV Prospector XL build you will win! Everything! Everywhere!
Such weapons!
Fantastic motor is the comings. I’m surprise Ron Australia didn’t bring out the extra cab and the single cab
Gonna be a sick build...Please take Nav on your trip 😃
He’ll be there 🍻
Wish the 79 would come back
Holy shit yes matty makes us want to move to auzie me and the family love ya channel
Matt how about spare wheels behind the cab for centre of gravity and access to the rear of canopy?
Aussie colours! Green and Gold baby🤙🤙
Thats a yes from me! 👍
Yew yeah Matt
The ram are the beast truck let’s go Matty
you going to add air bag shocks ? just to beef up the suspension and add to your height. do you think doing a engine tune tweak and dyno machine might give you added power.
All of the above hopefully 🤞🏼
Please tell us you've done gvm upgrade pre rego so you can run larger than 2inch lift aus wide??? I am very curious how this will go as personally I would have gone the f truck as they are OEM swapped and parts will be available through Ford Australia, having said that excited to see what this thing looks like and how it performs
Hell I'm interested in the one over here in America I was trying to see y'all over here but never got the chance.
That’s mad!
I’m not a fan of the RAM but I’m looking to look at the final product cause it’s a single cab. From what you have explained so far, I may just change my prospective. Onya….
Chuck some 40's on it! Love the single cab!
I suppose buy the time you build up a 79 to have good power and comfort it’s probably cheaper to just buy a ram.
Definitely mate
Okay respect the single cab
🤙🤙
What’s the lift kit and wheels on that rebel? Looks mint! Can we get some content on it?
Another build out of the ordinary man's reach. Will this be the best Australian build just like all the other builds.
Hey Matt, looks like it will be a sick build, does it have the same Gvm gcm as the current 2500's?
Would make an excellent gooseneck hauler with small canopy if it does.
Yeh mate it does 🤙
Don’t get me wrong, I love the American trucks. But parts especially when remote are not available. I recently watched a video from Mitts Alloy Canopies and they had to wait 6 months for a replacement head light for their RAM. Just saying. I hope you don’t have these problems. I love the channel and want you to succeed. Either way im excited for the build 😁
Yeah a little bit worried about that but only one way to find out 👌
@@theexplorelife yep, and you’re the man for the job 😁👍
I'm absolutely stoked for this build. Loving the content matt 🤙.
Cheers legend
Put the banks mods on it made a big difference to my
An American viewer I think you you could do well as a giveaway for the ram here in the states man!
Pink flames
Sick as 👌
The transmission is the weak link. I hope you have the towing package with the heavy duty trans cooler.
Yeah definitely something I’m looking at
Howcome you went paint over wrap ? Can’t wait 🤙🏻
Ppf wrap to come I reckon but I wouldn’t get the colour finish im after with a wrap this time
Here i was hoping it would be a Ineos😢
Maybe once’s there’s a few more accessories for them 👌
Gotta get it to blow soot do cummins proud
The only thing i see going wrong is the transmission. I would have opted for the manual.
We’re fixing it 👌
Oh matty....langth 😂😂😂 still love your work, but the langth kills me lols
Look there a big peace of American junk but you had no real worries that you showed us over there in the States but plenty of parts availability over there as they are common. Here may be different and even tho your 79 would of been heavy this RAM will way more by the time you fit it out ,,, may be you need to tow a Suzuki Gimmy behind it 😂😂🙂🤙
Go as the Americans say and go coke spec white grill, badges and mirrors then black bumpers
Will it out perform a 79…. I put money down that thing shits all over the 79s haha
Let’s see 😈
Army green and black.
The tradesmen in the US don't look like that inside. They are mostly for business owned work trucks here in the US.
Interesting! Not sure but definitely not complaining 😅
Half canopy and the rest tray I reckon
Would be sick 😉
Looking forward to watching this build just wondering if your camera man will have to sit on Nav’s lap seeing you’ve gone single cab 😂🤷🏼♂️
Are you sure about the width ? I have a 23 Chevy 2500 and a mate has the 1500 Ram and it’s wider than my 2500.
pre-rego, what carli lift are you going.
Nice
Before I watched it I literally said why don’t ya do a single cab haha
Need like chop 200,300 or even y62 or a space cab hilux or single cab 79 for the next
All great ideas 👌
In love with the rams ay?
Don't blame you, they're a great platform if you've got the dosh.
We’ll see if it’s up to the challenge 💪
Are you telling me the 79 isn't built for comfort. 😱
Probably my favourite truck ever
Good to see the Cameraman managed to get his mug in the mirror! Unless you have a family, I see the dual cab unnecessary & a bigger hindrance on Australian roads as an off-road tourer.
Perfect platform
Happy trails, Cowpoke
P.S. Green is nice. Giggles
Some type of camper set up on the tray? You have the space.
Maybe 😉
What about a Tundra ? they have brought into Oz 250 for various guys to test them out for 6 months approx.
Would’ve been cool but we weren’t invited to the testing 😂
How much for one of these? I would love one
