I just arrived home from a thrift shopping day. We do not have Goodwill stores on the east side of Michigan, but we do have Salvation Army. Wednesday is senior day with an extra 25% off (I am just past that 55 year mark) and today was my day ! I found 6 Villeroy & Boch Verona glass chargers in green for $8.75 for all 6!!! But my fabulous score was the Waterford salad bowl that was marked at $50- the employee told me she would give it to me for $25. At checkout, I received another 25% off of that. A STUNNING Waterford bowl for $18 and change. Watching your videos have inspired me to expand my collections! Thank you for all your inspiration 💜

I enjoy your shopping trips - quite unlike what is available here. I enjoy finding really old EAPG glass - two of my favorites are the bottoms only of antique covered butter dishes. I use them as bases for pillar candles and they work just great for that. One is, I believe, from the 1880's. Some pieces are in good shape, others have been well-used and loved. Using them is a bit like having pieces of family heirlooms!

I’m in Spring Hill, and I’ve been to that Franklin Goodwill many times - found some terrific things there for my Etsy shop 👍 PS: I highly recommend “Mother’s Mag & Aluminum Polish” for aluminum items that have been damaged in the dishwasher. I’ve used it on several Nambe items that looked beyond saving. They did an amazing job of returning the shine!
If I get to go back to that part of Tennessee, I am definitely going to that Goodwill store! What amazing finds! We don't have finds like that around here. I occasionally find a Spode or Lenox dish, but that's about it. I usually drive closer to the big cities to hunt for better items. Thanks for sharing!

I really all of the different ideas that you come up with for each items. I NEVER would have thought about using a toothbrush holder for a bud vase. That is a great idea. Those square plates were nice, but in my experience those plates easily chip on the corners.
Great insight on the square plates chipping on corners. Have never owned square dinner plates, just square vintage glass dessert plates. Yes, a toothbrush holder has a built-in flower frog that makes a good vase. Can also hold makeup brushes.

This goodwill used to be good but increasingly nothing to find. I went to both locations and found nothing. They also did away with teachers discounts. Now it’s only once a week. Goodwill is getting so greedy
