Didn’t know anything about the Johnson Brothers Old Britain Castles collection when I purchased the Dudley Castle brown platter with old backstamp - I was born in Dudley so had to have it. Dudley Zoo is in the grounds of the Castle - aquarium is in the dungeon and big cats are in open spaces around the moat. First Saturday/Holiday job in High School was working in concession stands at the Zoo. Had to walk through the Zoo/Castle grounds, before it opened, up to the Queen Mary Ballroom to get day’s assignment. Loved the morning walks, not so much the winter evening walks!!👻🦇🦉
I really like the Mikasa tureen without the lid. I can see it filled with soil and planted with either paper whites or amaryllis. I think that would make a beautiful centerpiece.

I took a trip to Nederland TX this weekend..stopped into a thrift store and found a beautiful Waterford crystal Clock to add to my collection, was so happy to find it for under 10 dollars
I have found a lot of beautifull German tureens in the thrift.Tureens can be a little pricey.The Royal Albert OCR tureen is 450.00 .My bday gift 4 yrs ago.I looove tureens!!!❤❤
The gold beaded box underneath a Christmas tree would be so pretty. I often find I am just as excited in finding creative ways to wrap the gifts as I am in choosing the gifts. I knew immediately you were going to choose the blue Mother's Day plate - I've never seen one like that. It is truly beautiful and artistic. Oh, the memories of the glass tree to fill - I would have picked that up too. I never knew about that price marking underneath the figurine. The jasper ware for your friend and the mother’s plate, too. Loved the package of tiny wrapped gifts to fill the glass Christmas tree. Great finds in the artwork that night, pretty Towle candelabra and some other fun things, too! You have a lovely GW! It looks like they’ve learned the value of displaying things nicely in a bright, clean and inviting space. It makes such a difference!

It's a bit of everything! I buy for friends, outfit two homes, and sell in my eBay store. Some items are put back on the shelf for other shoppers to find.
This particular Goodwill location is becoming high priced. Other Houston locations are a bit better. It's all over the map with pricing. One can still find deals.

Waterford is my favorite lightingware. I have Waterford Crystal lamps in many rooms of our home. Even had one in the nursery when my babies were born.
