This is NOT meant to promote an ideology or be political. It's only a mapping video and is not necessarily factually accurate.
Especially in this video, in which I showed the results of an ethnic cleansing. A message can be taken from this, especially with irredentist movements. When one group is restored to their historical border, what happens to the different peoples currently living in said borders? Are they tolerated? Ethnically cleansed for the historical group to return? But then, isn’t that just as bad as the previous ethnic cleansing? Because of this, such topics as irredentism are reserved for alternative history videos.

@@Daniel-jm7ts The USSR had korenization for one decade in the 1920s. So even though they're usually bastards, there's a possibility for Russia to do something nice for the ethnic minorities. Very slim possibility, but a possibility nonetheless.

The biggest issue for Circassians today is the forced assimilation. Those who were slapped to not speak their native language, those who lost their jobs because they spoke their native language, those who were forced to move because they were Circassian need their rights

Didn't support cleansing, and think that Caucasus need not federation but many new countries, but this video is great made.
Very clever! You forgot 1 thing. What language will be adopted from west to east? A confederation stipulates separate and distinct ethnic languages. I think Circassian denotes Adighebza and that Circassia and her territory should all communicate using the same language. The alternative is using English as a second language and all the different groups identifying with their language. I think that is strife with differences and that Circassia is Adighebza and khabza, bza, and heuk should never be altered. That is my two cents.

Would it be possible to find the native names of the various locations? It would be a definite improvement as they would probably not have any Russian placenames if Russia never conquered them.
As a Circassian, I do not quite approve of this - we don't have anything against Russians and they prefer us to any other N. Caucasian peoples. Neither do we have any desire to take over our neighbouring peoples' lands.

@@YahyaKuadzhe I am an outsider - not Circassian, nor Russian but with a deep interest and growing knowledge of the history and culture of your people. As an outsider, who can perhaps view your history in an unbiassed way, I tend towards your view, rather than the militancy of other views. Of course the clearances and genocidal attacks of the past were vile and vicious. They should never have happened, and should never, ever, be forgotten. But - to continue the same policies by either side is to perpetuate death, destruction and misery. As you say, today's Russians had no part in the previous generations' actions. I would hate to think that such misery would be perpetual for the much-wronged Circassians. Surely far better for Circassians to remember with deep and abiding sorrow, but to move on to a higher ground of tolerance and understanding between all parties, including Russians, and between all nations in the Caucasus.
Firstly, we have everything against Russians.
Secondly, Kadyrov's Chechnya is Russia's favorite North Caucasian republic. (Which I don't mind, I don't want us to become Putin's favorite lap dog, unlike you brother.)
Thirdly, there is no "neighbouring people's lands" except the Chechens. The rest is rightful Circassian clay.
The Russians still deny our genocide and ethnic cleansing, if you don't have anything against them you might as well throw your Circassian identity in the trash.

But I am not about to argue with you, for you do not have the experience I have had with Russians. They are regular people, as you can and should see by sitting and having a chat with some of them - and no, I am not talking about the nationalist autists who roam the internet, I am talking about the people on the streets of Maykop, Krasnodar, Rostov. They hardly have anything against us.
An independent Circassia would be really nice, even though in don't think russian colonists should be massacred as Russia did with Circassians, they should be integrated (learning the language (even tho it's kinda hard) and culture).
Russians today don't deserve what Russian leaders & army did with other peoples.
To be clear, I'm totally not a fan of a unified Russian state and what it has done, but ethnic russians are not responsible of what their state has done.

Keep in mind Circassia means the Circassian language. With groups like the Armenians, Iranian Ossetians, Ingush, Karachai, and Balkar, I cannot help but think they would not want to join? If I live in Circassia I speak Circassian. End of story. I know these are smaller groups but why are they being recognized? I think it is like using the kindness of the Adighas: their khabza, their language, and of course their homeland. If Russians are rooted out -- who will take their place? I believe Circassia is not about making it be as much as allowing people the option to decide. Allow people to see their country before making up things you know will backfire. If removal of Russians is the solution -- why is even one sitting around
