I like to think that Kujaku's sword was a normal sword that she verbally dominated into a whip

Every now and then I forget that Berry is literally a brick with a set of custom clothes and fleshed out backstory. It’s at these moments I truly grasp the human willingness to bond to anything with googly eyes and Tekking’s talent at creating characters.

So, random question for the bakery/restaurant tier list: Can Kujaku order an oven or other cooking utensil to cook perfectly or in a particular style? If not, could she give a series of commands to a room for things to input at various times, maybe like applying heating or cooling in particular combinations for something like dry aging or fermentation? Or if not that complex, can things like a match be be commanded to light a fire at certain times to do the same thing? Can a command be embedded for future use, such as a command to do things to help show the level of mixing that needs to be done for an apprentice chef or if Kujaku happens to be sick one day, and if so, can it be used more than once? If so, is there a random room somewhere for chefs in Sword to randomly check in and learn various levels of cooking.
For the more serious things that I'm curious about: is the whip Haki-infused? Does the building become Haki-infused, or is it possible to create Armanent-infused buildings? Is there some sort of really silly combo attack with like the force of Garp throwing a cannonball and Kujaku giving a command that could allow for something simulating the Paw-Paw fruit's transformation ability? And say, if stone merging worked with part of the island- one part gets whipped and one gets commanded by Pizarro...does that just become a contest of Haki to determine who wins like general devil fruits being overcome by Haki?
There's a lot of potentially weird interactions to come from this fruit, and the potential cultured SBS questions are...scary, to say the least.

There are indeed a lot of interesting potential questions about this ability. Although I am sure that there are plenty of other questions that can be asked as well.

What if kujaku whipped the old giant robot at the bottom of egghead Island so it does what it was supposed to do? If she whips a Seraphim, will it override who can tell them what to do?

Hold on Matt. Now we don't really have any reason to believe it was the building she was giving orders too. You have to remember we also got the reveal of Avalo Pizarro's DF as well and turns out he IS the island right now. So I present this argument, she was in fact interacting with a part of Pizarro not the building itself. So Pizarro was the one who inadvertently repositioned the buildings without knowing what was happening
(BTW I'm posting halfway through the video so I apologize if you talk about this in the back half)

@@tyonteblack not necessarily. Because Pizarro never gave indication that he knew it was happening. Probably meaning something closer to he may be able to assimilate to an entire island but doesn't have absolute control at all times. So not a battle of Haki, more like a crime of opportunity

@@IcepickEvans but if he was distracted by something else maybe he wouldn't have recognized the (relatively) soft strikes of the whip on a building.
@UltraBlueGengar1252 that's true. He might not have full control of his powers. His will might have to be directed, and not all the island is always assimilated. It just seems like he is one with island itself. The buildings are weaker parts of his will.
Can't wait for the next chapter, but considering Odas writing style, hes propably going to cut away to an another scene and leave us hanging with the whole Garp situation just like happened with Sabo and the Lulucia Kingdom.
The way that chapter ended.. I would be so sad if we don't get some kind of continuation soon.

What I love about current One Piece is that the switching scenes doesn't matter because they're all so good.
@@davidortiz3094 The straw hats would honestly lose. I think the BB pirates are too strong rn. They need some kinda buff. Only the strongest strawhats have haki. Even basic haki training would do the other strawhats well lol.

One thing to note is that there is a gap in leaders of the Kuja Pirates between Shakky and Boa, while there is also a gap between Tsuru and her granddaughter. I think that Tsuru's daughter was a leader of the Kuja and was an influence on getting them to become Shichibukai. I'm going to bet it's Doll or someone new.

I think Otama and Kujaku's devil fruit fall into the same but different ablility wise.
Kujaku's power is giving orders to whatever she whips, how the order comes out is up to the user.
While Tama's Kibi dango ability is less taming and more giving treats to animal's to form a bond like a pet.
Kujaku's orders are absolute as long as the whip hit the target, while the Kibi Dango can only work on animals because it doesn't work on real Zoans and Humans they have to be animals for it to work.

I think the reason she was able to move the houses was because of the island island fruit and the houses were part of the island so she can't just move inanimate objects but she can because he controls the Island

I'm just curious about what Kujaku's relationship with her grandma is. Like, are they close? Do they have a Boomer-Millenial type beef while still being part of the same organization? Does Tsuru flaunt the fact that her granddaughter is the only one of her trio's group that actually followed in her footsteps?
I didn't think that Tsuru was the kind to have children or grandchildren. Their relationship certainly bears further examination.
Tekking, do you think something is up with the Yami Yami no Mi, same as the Gomu Gomu no Mi?
We know how Devil Fruits came to be, born of human desire and wishes. The Gomu Gomu no Mi is really the Hito Hito no Mi: Model: Nika. So it’s reasonable to assume that the fruit was born of the wishes and wills of the slaves, who yearned to become like their god in order to gain freedom. But Nika is a SUN God, and a culture with a Sun God would likely have a Moon God, who embodies much of the opposite, or at least a complementary idea.
So what if the Yami Yami no Mi is another Mythical Human Fruit, but of an in universe Moon God. And was another wish by slaves for a kind of freedom. But in that case, rather than freedom in the form of liberation, it was destruction. Nika embodies liberation via freedom and joy. The Moon God embodies liberation by destruction and chaos. And the slaves who wished for the Yami Yami no Mi didn’t want just freedom, but for divine judgement to fall upon their enslavers, for them to suffer as they did. And that collective wish birthed the “Most Evil Devil Fruit”.
but the moon is already a symbol in one piece and it stands for good things. whitebeard and the minks and the kozuki are all allies of joyboy and they are heavily associated with the moon. i think blackbeard will get a third fruit that will make him god level. maybe kizarus?
@@bennett4789 That is absolutely true, the moon does stand for good things at least in Wano. While it could mean something different in the culture that Nika comes from, I dunno if Oda would do that, and he’ll likely keep to a positive moon symbol.
Speaking about weirdest powers, I remember there was background pirate character which has power to draw out hammer from his chin. It was showed briefly like in one scene, but it was really weird power so I remember it till now.

It makes me think (and I know this is ridiculous but it has to be said) of something someone once told me. They claimed that whipped cream is only whipped cream when it has been whipped with whips. Personally, I think that they were having a laugh at my expense since I don't even like the aforementioned food.

This fruit is pretty much an upgraded version of Verona's fruit from One Piece D&D. Animates larger objects and has an extended range due to using a whip instead of having to touch the object. Plus, the possibility of giving living creatures commands.
Imagine being one of the most respected marines along with garp and sengoku being as smart if not smarter than sengoku a tactical genius then your granddaughter has a whip devil fruit and speaks dirty to building that’s otsuru life
Slightly disappointed in turtle facts today, I was so excited for the leatherback but no mention of countercurrent heat exchange! For anyone unaware, some larger marina organisms such as leatherbacks and tuna can raise their core body temperature, despite being cold blooded, by making use of heat transfer between their veins. Since all energy use produces heat, internal functions such as the heartbeat produce heat, only for the blood in the arteries to take that heat to the extremities where it is lost to the water. However, with countercurrent heat exchange, the veins and arteries are directly next to each other, and the warmer blood coming from the heart will transfer some heat to the veins which take blood back to the core of the body, preventing heat loss to the environment. This can raise the core temperature of the body significantly, which leads to faster movement, and therefore a higher chance of survival.

I have nothing to really support this, but a thought I had is that maybe the ability to generate items related to your Devilfruit ability (clothesline, whip, scissors, etc.) is more of a trained ability, requiring both experience and the expending of some stamina. For people newer to their Devilfruit, they can’t create these items; then they reach a point where it’s doable but still less efficient than bringing the item or something that can be warped into the item. Then you get to Osuru, who is very experienced with her Devilfruit and is very powerful- thus, she can easily create a clothesline and clothespins for her ability.
I can’t speak to Leo’s experience with his Devilfruit, but I wouldn’t expect him to have much stamina, being such a tiny fellow. That’s not to say he couldn’t eventually create a needle at will, as needles are also small objects- but it would still be a long process for him to train to that level of skill and strength.
Leo is one of the best Tontatta warrior, you can't underestimate his stamina.
His inteligent is another story tough

I imagine Kujaku's fruit only works on the nature and capabilities of what she is whipping, she can't order a building to just fall over due to the size of the building disallowing it to topple over like some building block.
But I imagine she could whip a doorknob to open a door though or close a door by whipping it from the wrong side since a door can move on its hinges.

I think the whip was an actual sword half transformed into a whip... she would probably be able to use any "rod/stick/rope" shaped object and turn it into a whip... so she uses her own regular usable sword and turns it into a whip while using her power...

Holy moly I just made a connection... Devil fruits have to be from after the void century because there's a Nika fruit. That means the concept and stories already existed. So they have to have been made during or just after maybe it's a philosopher stone situation IMU sacrificed the ancient kingdom and it birthed devil fruits.
I remember reading a theory a while back that Tsuru is Sanji's maternal grandmother and before marrying Judge Sora was a legendary naval officer who fought against him.
Also a Sora is a bird commonly seen in the America's to boot giving credence to this theory

I think the reasonable aspect is simply compellment. So asking something to move that can't is reasonable. You may as well say its telekinesis but an additional step. So in theory if her whip hits a rock and she order it to attack it will simply fly at the target to hit it. Or roll. The latter most likely. If the buildings could move via her power then she wouldn't necessarily need them to sneak up to box those pirates in. They'd just fly to where they need to be. So some hard coded physics need to apply.
Still though if her power works on inanimate objects are logia without volatile reactions just get oneshotted by this ability. Akainu or Enel would destroy the whip but Smoker? Crocodile? If the whip touches their smoke or sand respectively then they're done.
