I am feeling proud and so satisfied being a first year student of Economics at IIT Kanpur. After coming here i saw people's craze for switching there branch to Eco.
And I am in this branch already.
And also Economics in IIT Kanpur is the most chill Branch 😅.
Bro I am also thinking for this branch as I am not interested towards circuital branch . does the placement is good and can we sit for faang and quant roles?

@@priyansumohanty9905 yes you're right but I always consider Economics as a social science subject rather than a Commerce Subject. and All the prominent Economists hold BA/MA degrees and not BCom/MCom.
@@priyansumohanty9905 commerce has only business economics. Whereas a BA in economics comprises from macroeconomics like financial system to microeconomics like econometrics and etc.

Thanks Piyush this was very insightful... I am a Fashion designer, but also associated with education system in the same field. Students really have no clue why they chose this field and I feel from the bottom of my heart that career counselling is equally important as other subjects are in higher seconday schools.

bhai yahi chiz matter karte hn n..jaise aapko 3rd year me pata chala ki apka interest economics pe h....tire 3 k college me exposure nahi milta h .. peers vaise nahi hote hn...thats why people want to join tire 1 college...taaki unhe at least ye maalum chal paaye ki kya vo really me engineering karna chahte the ya kuch aur...mana ki hamara education system achha nahi h..but jo v h hame us'e blame karne me apna time kharab n karke apne interest ki chizon pe dhyan dena chahiye...and thanks to making this video❤️❤️🙏you are awesome person

Buddy i'm a civil engineer myself post graduated in 2019, but got into stocks after that, completely amazed by this world and now doing trading full time successfully. Its never too late to change your field as long as you enjoy and do it the right way...😀

My ans: I don't care about packages and bleh, I am really interested in Aerospace and that is my passion, So I want to do it from the top in India.

Life is linear but jee preparation is logarithmic. Maine soch tha jee mein acche percentile aayenge lekin 86percentile pe atak gaya hoon. Ab toh iit bhi dhundli si dikh rahi hai. Lekin yeh mujhe pata hai ki mujhe mathematics and computing karna hai.

In Many colleges they provide you option to switch between branches. Like in NIT rourkela, suppose you are in Biomedical engineering and want to switch to mechanical or something else then you just need to score more than 8.5 CGPA (if my memory serves me right😅) in first year and remain in top 5 percentile of your branch. Then only you can apply for branch change.

Bro,If you will go through the syllabus then you will get to know that syllabi of IIT Kanpur and Kharagpur are rigorous and best.But the syllabus of iit Bombay for eco is not up to marks.moreover you could do masters in economics from KGP and Kanpur

But I want to share some of my opinions on this:
As CSE is the branch everyone aspires for, then what is the need of an IIT! I mean to say that aagar JEE ke exam mein Coding vegara ke question poochne lge toh hr bnda hi TOP krne lgega kyunki jo cheez interest se ki jaye wo achi hi hoti hai, toh JEE ka competition aur bhi bad jata!
PCM hona hi theek hai, atleast wo bache jo mehnat krte hai caahe unka interest hai ya nhi, bss dedication hai, wo bhi SORT ho jaate hain! Therefore, the deserving should only get a good Branch, (Every Branch is Good, I wrote with a biased opinion towards CSE)

What 2 courses of Economics did you do ?
Bhaiya i am also in medical college... But i Don't have interest in treating people... I want to study biology in depth... I want to know chemistry in depth... The subjects in first and second year are interesting and are what i want like biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics etc but after that the clinical subjects... and posting in hospital to know how things works is irritating for me... So i have decided to go for m.phil after mbbs in biological sciences...
@MASTER LOHITH good idea but here is a thing that iisc do provides phd course and if you have a direct phd with no masters degree than you are not eligible for scientists post in icmr...
Now I'm preparing for msc exams like iit jam... I have developed a intrest in biophysics which I read in physiology books like boron... And aiims delhi do provide a msc degree after that I'll go for phd...
