Nothing is really wrong with the Alex at lvl1 or 2, just using uncharged shots combined with the arm gattling provides more than enough build stun, the issue is some people lean into dps so much users either isolate themselves and get bullied by enemy raids mistaking their sheer cowardice for being a supoort user (thus a bulliable target) or keeping at range so much and refuse to get into melee which could potentially save a team mates life ie tackles or a nessercary downswing (the amount of times I've seen them charge their br and not even consider using a combo to build stun is depressing). It could use more health certainly, giving it lvl2 forced Injectors would also help it in its mid range focus so it can actually dance when trouble comes too close
I loved the Alex since I was a kid and my first Gundam toy was the Alex even tho it wasn't the first Gundam show I seen. Glad it's a pretty good MS in GBO2

Recently started watching your vids, can't say I have a fave but Alex is easily one of my go to suits, I run mine in real type colors and yeah gotta beef them legs up
What the Alex needs is a little HP, perhaps 1k per level, but more so skills like flight controller that have become more common at 450. Also, you forgotto mention its biggest strength: its one of a handful of MS that move at nearly full speed when moving sudeways and backwards, makirit easy to walk and shoot while staying out of the enemy's crosshairs or quickly pop in and out of cover faster than just about anything else. If you like the Alex, rry the Barzam Kai as a 500-550 alternative. Same movement modifiers, betters stats, and a heat guage BR with attached grenade launcher with good range. In between shots, it has a high dps vulcan you can spam while you're waiting for reloads or chasing down enemies. With level 3 melee defense part, the stats are just better than the Alex, and the shooting is great. The Gelgoog Stutzer is also kind of a tanky Alex, in that it has MA, can buff melee and ballistic defesne super high, has a Gatling, a BR that can burst fire dor dps or quickly charge for long-ish range stuns, and mines that you can set up and detonate as whenever you want (as long as you arent stunned) Its versatile, has melee priority 3 to melee against most other generals and clash with raids, and can break legs pretty well when needed. Not to mention to utility of setting up those mines at choke poits or luring people into them, with big damage and and even larger multiplier to legs like your Gatling has. Its sort of a frontliner/tank version of the Alex. The Tristan though...it was barely decent when it came out and is probably the weakest 600 general. People have been begging for buffs, like a sturmfaust that doesn't have a long equip time or long animation after that makes it hard to combo with, but we havent gotten a buff in two years. Its like the current MKII without even having the great melee damage. Try using google tanslate on the GBO2 Japanese wiki to get the exact stats about movement multipliers, damage multipliers versus shields, heads, oegs, and backs, exact stun build percentages, and a lot of information about the best oarts to use (like reloaders/aux generators over damage, as more shots equals more damage), as well as some slightly hard to understand lingo from japanese players. The Gerbera Tetra is also another suit, and a raid, that is very shooty, has fast movement in all directions (i recommend the +5 movement soeed in suits like that ir Hyaku-Shiki, as it makes them even harder to hit) and a much longer range Gatling gun that pairs well with the BR that can do 125% stun build without even charging.
O ya, So far my mains between 250-400 is desert gm, gouf VD, and zudah. 400 to 500 is the G-line's with a sprinkle of pale rider ground/VG and hizack custom. and when im stuck in 600 hyaku shiki kai. Currently also in A tier.
first year war vet here again, this fucking thing used to be THE META CHOICE for above 400 for a long ass time alongside the kampfer, everyone who got it, used it, it was faster, stronger and just all around a better RX-78-2 with arguably worse melee weapons. This thing was the MKII gundam of the first year, it got beaten out by the GPO1's eventually tho, feels nostalgic remembering all of the city matches i had facing teams of these things.
The Alex was also my favorite during year 1 to year 2 of GBO2, but that HP 13000 lv1 needs a buff and basic stats also needs a buff to make it good against newer 450 ms, at 600 it struggles but if you know how to play and Handel it it can be a monster and with a tristan together both there mechine gun can destroy a single enemy 😅
It's interesting when I think about that fact that it didn't become my favorite until well after the first year. Still, i can see why so many argue that it needs more HP. So i won't argue against it lol

Alex > Tristan. I don't know if anyone else notices these things, but it seems like the Alex is one of those machines that also benefits from being a little less bulky then some other suits. Not sure how to prove this objectively, but it just feels like I'm harder to hit in the Alex then with something like a Galus J or a Byarlant.
It is on the smaller side. And its large shield covers a big section of its body. Larger suits can get in their own way a lot of the time, and in their teammates way as well. One of the reasons I prefer smaller suits if I can help it.
So you're telling me people think the Alex is mid? I thought it's a universally beloved MS in this game, weird! When it comes to underrated MS, there's a few I think I like. Slave Wraith is one of those; now, I know, this one actually COULD use some buffs but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a LOT of fun playing it. I had some crazy moments with it, where despite it's lack of skills, I felt like I was borderline untouchable. I just kept stunning them with the bazooka and flash grenade, hitting them more than they hit me, and survived a ton of encounters in one life, even on low health. It was such a good feeling, man! I'm unsure how much use the Jesta gets, but I really like that MS as well, I figured out how to actually play it recently and it brings me a lot of joy. It's like a pseudo-raid without dodge rolls, you can absolutely mess up ACTUAL raids with it! Hell, it's charged beam rifle even gets through Delta Gundam's beam stun resistance, it's just insane. For that reason, I dub it the "Anti-raid raid", it gets through maneuver armor, is extremely tanky thanks to active guard, which lets it perfectly counter raids, on top of HUGE melee damage. If I may, what specific marking do you use to get that red streak on your shoulder in some of these color schemes? I think it looks really cool.
That's what I thought about the Alex at first, until i started running into people telling me not to use it.Obviously I never listened. I keep hearing about the Slave Wraith. I suppose i'll have to start taking a closer look at it. Jesta is pretty nice. It's the AE emblem transformed.
Thanks! The Slave Wraith certainly is a weird one, as it basically depends on the team entirely to do well, almost acting as a supporting MS, the way it is right now. But like I said, with some luck, you can pull off some funny things with it. I forgot to add, what an amazing grenade throw, sheesh! I only wish I could aim my grenades that well, hah!
One of my favorite way to play is suit is actually on ruined city with range and speed investment so much fun just backpedaling and dumping beam Gatling round into an enemy. Also yeah idk why they don’t buff Tristan br yet

My fav is actually *RX-78-2 Gundam* . Though, it was shadowed by META cursed hammer and people just won't appreciate the _beam saber_ , even the Dev won't give it _double beam saber_ . If you look at in the ingame, it stated that, " _Gundam is a prototype melee MS_ " but, there is better melee MS without the need a title for it ( example: *EZ8* and *Powered GM* ) .
In short, i just want my *Gundam* better at using _beam saber_ .. 🤧💦
I've had similar issues in the past. Some players don't get that there are different ways to using the same suit.
@@Mobilesuitk9 True. That is why i appreciate *G-3* . It has different combat style for majority of RAID.
😆👍🏻
@@Mobilesuitk9 O wait... DId you, delete the " Tom the Tidurus " dude's comments?
I was about to snap some of his comment but... it's gone now. 🤧💦
@@LilyBeta I had to remove him after he kept getting more aggressive. He also wasn't understanding the fact that I simply disagreed with his viewpoint. Some people can't accept there are other ways to play games and he was getting immature about it. So I moved on. Maybe I should do a video about high level mobile suits now lol
@@Mobilesuitk9 I see. He is kinda like " _keyboard warrior_ " so, it make sense for their personality. 😅💦
So, high cost?
Did you mean, by like *Tristan* or *Xamel* kinda MS?
😲😲
My friends told me not to do gp02 MLRS cuz “you cant win with missile spam alone” and then the next day I randomly matched against them and schooled them, became ace with it and deleted them from existence
The " _Talk Less, Do More_ " Chad rules over there.
👁👄👁👌🏼
The Powered GM is very much a sleeper suit imo, especially at level 5. It's absolutely disgusting at 550. No one respects it until there's only 3 minutes left lol
My poor boy the slave wraith doesn't get the respect it deserves. Give that thing ma and it'll be viable. But as is there are just better options at 350 that play the same role
I am seeing it less and less now. Although I'm also not playing as much as before. It can still be a handful on smaller maps though.
@@Mobilesuitk9 Even back then, I didn't see much of it. The slave wraith, though a good suit, was never able to compete with the heavier hitters in its cost group. Whether it was the ez8 and Marine Gundam in the early gbo2 days or the Stutzer currently.
@@Mobilesuitk9 Honestly, maneuver armour or a dodgeroll would make it much more survivable. Giving it a combo controller would at the very least make it much more convenient. But again, I'd accept anything. This suit is far too cool to function at its current level. I can't really blame power-creep either, because 350 has always had some heavy hitters.
@@quasideificalpaca I think i've only ever used it 3 times. the first time was on accident, thinking i had selected the Ez8. 2nd was to see if charging the beam rifle would give away my fake beacon. And 3rd time was in the underground base map. there may have been a 4th time on arctic, but i can't really recall.
maneuver armor sounds good to me though.
this is why gbo2 is outliving all of the other gundam games. EVERYTHING is viable if you use it right
Why is your bazooka doing so much damage?
haha. The scene with the bazooka was in the battle simulator. I couldn't get any good BRoll with the bazooka in time for the video. So I had to settle.
@@Mobilesuitk9 oh that's why 😂
This is a good vid, but you sound very monotonous compared to your prev two vids. Kinda AI like almost.
