Beautiful old coin, isn't it. Got a couple of them in my collection (one's a bit rough, mind) and think the design is so much more attractive than the later crowns. Great stuff as always!

Absolutely agree - wonderful coins and so tactile. A great way to hold a little physical silver and enjoy the history at the same time. I always wonder what they were used to buy and who owned them.....if only they could talk!

Nice coin. A question: until 1900 there where no items on the coins (i. e. Half Crown, Shilling, Six Pence). Can the britains or foreigners check up, who much money they pay for something? We have a lot of coins in this time. From third a farthing to one souverign. Greetings from Germany.

Your videos are great. Did you know that crowns are still legal tender? The 1971 legislation remonetised them.

I love Victorian coins also. I have an 1887 collection and a few others. A Gothic Florin.
I sent an 1887 Crown to Numistacker for grading...results soon. Also went were a 1/2 Crown and Double Florin. My 1887 1/2 Sovereign came back from grading with an MS 61 :)

Do you think these old coins are a good investment? In MS condition? Will they appreciate?
Certainly in MS condition. Worn condition like this one - if you pick it up for the right price, you should make money on it. I looked back and I paid £21 for this coin. I have seen worst coins sell for more on ebay so I think it is a good investment - certainly it will increase in value when silver prices go up anyway.
I like that you show all different type coins and bars, etc...I really only watch you and Numistacker. Occasionally other coin channels :)
