With L'Oreal what I hate the most is the shades. The rosy are way too pink and the warn is literally yellow or orange. The difference between a shade and the one next to it is huge. Although you have a big selection, you're most likely are going to buy two shades and mix them anyway !
Dear Jill, I thank god I find your channel, I'm your age and have your same issues with conceller creasing, sorry for my english and my grammer, I really would like to hear your opinion of L'oreal tent serum with hialuronic acid and se if it is as good as they say, I live in the caribean and it is really hard to find foundation and good conceller that stick and keep fresca on the skin because of the humid weather, please let me know your opinion, thanks in advance.

Always beautiful! I had this foundation in my cart at Ulta to get just trying to figure out what shade. I think I will try that concealer. I don't even try to wear a concealer anymore bc they always crease. I have spent a fortune! What higher priced foundation do you like? I had been wearing the Estee Lauder Double Wear light. It has been discontinued. I liked it when I was going out and needed long wear. Now idk what to buy and I'm about out. I am 63, if u have any suggestions I would appreciate it.
Hi Jackie! I do like the Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid foundation. It gives excellent coverage with a healthy glow (but not over the top). I haven't hit on a color that I love for me yet, though.
What a fortunate mishap, when you applied the darker, more yellow foundation first by mistake, it turned out to be necessary because I think the lightest shade would have left you "ghost" like, so adding it to the first shade you applied, worked out perfectly.
I am a little confused/concerned as to why/how you chose your shade after switching each product on the back of your HAND!!
As it's more correct to use the neck in the area nearest to the ear, could you explain to me your reasoning for not doing this.
Oh yes the right side was noticeably better than the left. 😊
I was just showing/swatching for viewers on the back of my hand. I had played with them a few days before filming on my face and had a good idea which one worked best…I did mention in the video that my face would be a totally different ball game compared to my hand. 😉 Also should mention that the first shade I had barely applied before catching it. I think the video made it seem like I had applied it to my entire face. Thanks for watching today!
Have you tried any lip paints ? I think it maybe drying my lips out or it may just be because of age !
I haven't. I do find those type of lip products are very drying (at least the ones I have tried in the past).

Jill, I don't know how I missed this when it first dropped. I LOVE the finished look and put a bunch of these products in my cart. I have such a problem now with dry skin, especially living in Southern California. I grew up in a moist climate so this is really a challenge now. And, I get dryer every year now. I am getting the serum foundation, concealer serum, the lip liner, and that last gloss for now. I must have every foundation known to man. I just bought Lancome, Charlotte Tillbury, and NARS but I often come back to my L'Oreal Infallible. I do like L'Oreal products. I also have more than 60 palettes and am trying to use them before I buy another one (I gave a box filled with makeup to my daughter and I still have far too much). It is that never ending search for the perfect product in each category. Speaking of which, the Lancome mascara I got is wonderful -- pricey, but fantastic. OK, so now I can try to do your look, step by step. Btw, that Big Time is gorgeous in that color on you. I have it in a different, darker blend. Wish I could wear more blondes. My favorite mascara is the L'Oreal / Age Perfect Magnifying Mascara / Black BUT in Water Proof. It really comes off easy with just warm water. It stays on all day with no smudge or smears under my eyes.

First time viewer. I loved your tips for downturned eyes and your choice of eyeshadow colors. I have mature and pale skin and i keep thinking i have use black eyeliner on top but i like your look a lot better without it!

Jill, I just love your videos. You make me chuckle out loud. It’s like you get “me”…or I get you. Agree the right side of your face without the primer looks much more natural. And the added blush and lip products delivered! I used to be a L’Oréal devotee but many of their foundations oxidize on me including the Age Perfect Radiant Serum Foundation. Curious if it oxidized on you, especially with the golden ivory you accidentally started with (oops 😊). I do like their Fresh Wear formula very much though. It’s almost a dupe for the NARS Light Reflecting Serum Foundation. Almost…NARS is definitely better, but the Fresh Wear is good for an out the door look, lovely finish and doesn’t oxidize (on me). For a drug store tinted brow gel, have you tried ELF Brow Wow? It has the tiny applicator you like and the shade taupe works for me. Looking forward to your next video!

First time viewer, IMMEDIATELY new subscriber. I love your attitude about taking good care of ourselves and embracing whatever stage of life we happen to be in. I have this primer (never tried the foundation), and have a slightly cooler/pink undertone. Although it does look pink coming out of the tube, it doesn’t make me look ruddy in any way. I like the way it keeps foundation and concealer from settling in pores and lines. I think it helps to “press” it on with fingertips rather than rub to avoid disturbing any other skin prep (moisturizer/serum). BTW, I could listen to your voice all day.

I agree I Iike the side of the face without primer. It looks more natural, a slight glow just lovely. The primer side to me looks matte and dry. Lovely look with all the products.
I have pink undertones but I don't mind pink primers cuz then it still looks like me but a better shade. I am VERY fair skinned, porcelain, way more fair than you Jill.

I have to use a primer because my head SWEATS in response to stress (not “perspire”: sweat). I do not even bother with eye makeup if I don’t prime first.

To clarify I'm not ruddy. Just porcelain with cool undertones. Porcelain coloring. I'm not ashamed of it so I don't try to change it with color correction. I have no prob with people that do tho. None at all.

Rimmed seems to be exact same as Revlon, maybe a little creamier. Laura Geller good but not inexpensive. L'oreal is scented and the scent burns my throat, every time, for decades.

39:15 how you said that you like one side of the face more than the other side..... I do that to myself. Left versus right with better look and feel for appearance (if that makes sense). I call my left side (face/hair) my mothers dna genes and my right side - my fathers.. lol. Anyone else see that in yourself?

I'm a new follower and running a through a few of your posts currently, i like your tips, and use of affordable make-up (not many of us ordinary people can afford brand name, $160 foundations and $200 eyeshadow palettes and $80 blush/bronzers) but we want to look good

Well um how did it wear through the day?
I moisturized, used my primer, then my foundation...it looked flat, almost cakey and settled in my wrinkles....did not like it at all...but this was a game changer for me...primer first, then I mixed, in my hand, some moisturizer and some of my liquid hydrating foundation and it went on like silk, didn't look cakey and didn't settle in my wrinkles. I'm 73 next month and it is hard for me to get a light glowy look with some decent coverage like I got doing it this way. Not sure if it will work with other foundations but it works with the L'oreal. For me the secret seems to be that the primer must be on my bare skin and everything after that glides on vs sticking.
Do you suggest a makeup for seniors that. Will not. Go into wrinkles?
I just recommend going light with everything. Not color wise… but how much you use (concealer and foundation). 😉 Yes, some do better than others, but a light hand is always a good technique as we age.

I haven’t tried the one in the squeeze tube but am shocked how much I love the dropper bottle one - I can mix it with my thicker foundations (Bobbi Brown serum that used to be thinner which I preferred). And it feels good just rubbing it onto my face with fingers. I thought the alcohol would make it dry, as I struggle with foundations without alcohol feeling dry, but it doesn’t. How is that possible? Tamara Timeless Beauty mixes those two together and gets perfect balance of coverage and radiance that lasts.
What concealer gives you coverage but doesn’t look crepey?
L'Oréal test on animals, boycott !!!
Sadly, any brand that is sold in China is, because China will not sell a brand unless it is. SO most of the drugstore brands do test on animals FYI. That is the quickest way to find out if they test on animals, is to find out if they are sold in China.
Yours is the 2nd loreal video I have watched (Mel C) I have been quite impressed with the new Loreal products on my 65 year skin. Haven't used loreal in decades and grabbed a foundation from sale bin . Put it on while at hair salon and wow!! Fell in love with everything about it. Yes I was very lucky on color match. Meant to be.. lol
