Hi! Gen Z welder/mechanic here! No one wants a Harley because they shake themselves to pieces. The vibration from a V-twin is absolute hell on a vehicle's... everything. Every time someone asks "why don't you want a motorcycle" my 2-word response is "metal fatigue".
This exactly. My family's always been huge fans of Harley Davidsons (I'm a yamaha person lmao) and the repairs are horrid to fix and expensive for no reason.
Question: what do you think is the best motorcycle brand or at least one you recommend personally? I'm mostly curious since my dad is a mechanic but only worked on cars, sorry if I sound rude btw
Fun fact, when the minimum wage was established it was supposed to be able to support a family and allow the earner to buy a home all on that one income. Now the people who established that system say it's not meant to do that. I would genuinely rather live in the dying light universe and get torn apart by a volatile.
So my grandma actually gave me her set of nice dishes, and she specifically told me how tiresome it was that she never really used them, and she told me specifically it didn't matter at all if I broke them, because they would finally be actually used.
I was supposed to get my DNA family's "pretty dishes" before I went no contact with them. Now my abusive narcissistic pathological liar bro gets all their trash.

I feel like the same guy making fun of Millennials for not wanting Harley’s cuz ‘you can’t use a phone or eat while driving one’ would probably be the same person on his phone with an open bottle of beer while driving his car with no seat belt then gets upset when he gets pulled over.
Plus the fact that harleys are just outclassed by almost any other fucking brand. Like instead of a 30k bagger i can get a Kawasaki or yamaha bagger/ cruser
6:51 if the millennials aren’t buying enough motorcycles to keep Harley Davidson alive, then why aren’t the boomers just buying them instead. There’s a really simple solution if a company you like isn’t getting enough sales to stay in business.
@@meowkittymeowmeow2786 I bet the guy who posted it doesn’t even have a Harley Davidson. He has probably just told himself his whole life, he’ll get one when he has enough money. While currently having one or two other brand beat up old motorcycles
Ten or so years ago, there were numerous articles _every day_ about how Millennials were "killing" some industry. Diamonds, cruises, travel agencies, restaurants, Hummers, etc. If it was a luxury, Millennials were "killing" it by being too poor to afford it, but not one of those articles ever said that. They just said Millennials were "spending their money on other things," leaving the "like food and housing" unsaid. And the Boomers wonder why their Millennial kids don't call.
How casinos work actually. Hundreds of old people pulling the levers in slot machines, gambling away their entire retirements, hundreds of dollars, and when they sometimes win a few bucks, they always come back to give them back to the casino. And gamble on and on, until they die. It's like a sad afterlife
The "They HATE you! Aren't they your parents?" absolutely got me because... in my case, yes, my dad is the very last of the boomer age group and my mom is barely gen x. I think this might explain some things about how jaded my generation is.
That just reminded me of how much I love my grandpa. He's the absolute best boomer I've had the pleasure of being around and is the exact opposite of the stereotype.
Same with my parents. My dad actually jokes about the younger generations and participation trophies and I'm like, brah, you should know better than anyone that we never asked for that shit. We were literal children. Why are we getting blamed for that?
Exactly - there’s a lot of jokes about millennials being cringe, and frankly, we kind of are. But it’s not really that surprising that there’s a correlation between having parents who genuinely resent your existence and becoming adults that hold on too tight to things like Hogwarts houses and Disney World that promise a sense of belonging/community.
I love how the second one is so much funnier with that information. That dumbass thinks "oh no, he's too smart to fall for the classic 'paying employees gambit'" when really just like "oh shit this guy doesn't even have reading comprehension."

Dude my grandma somehow went to a fake Windows website on her Chromebook, downloaded a virus(on a Chromebook), then called the real Windows support number to complain. 1:53 I stg every time I go into a casino it’s like the exact opposite of the land of the lotus eaters from Greek mythology. Like you walk through the door and instead of having eternal youth and a state of bliss when you enter, you walk into ANY casino and you IMMEDIATELY age 30 years, your hairline recedes, you gain two divorces, and 3 young adult kids who don’t talk to you. Like I’ve never need to a more depressing, pathetic, boring place in my life. Honestly what a silly goofy way to blow all your savings in one go.
Is the guy at 1:58 _seriously_ telling people to spend money gambling if they're poor? I am continuously amazed, baffled, and appalled by the level of stupidity _grown adults_ are capable of. It does not take a super genius to know how utterly ridiculous that is. It's a basic principal of _any_ business that in order to actually _work,_ let alone work well enough to have the entirety of Las Vegas dedicated to this business, it needs to pull in more money than it spends, and using basic _preschool logic,_ we can see that in order for that to happen, that means for every time a gambler hits the jackpot, so many other gamblers need to loose enough money to cover that plus interest. There is a very good reason they say the house always wins. _Always._
8:25 Fun fact: As a Texan, I can confirm that every damn year, the goobers up in the office are like "Yo should we secede again?" Even though we literally cannot do that. For context, Texas used to be its own country when we won independence from Mexico (The Republic of Texas). We only got annexed with the US later. (This is also why we have our own power grid separate to the US's. This separate power grid also bit us in the ass in 2021 when a single inch of snow beat the shit out of our entire state.)

That's because they didn't parent. Being raised by boomers meant I was "old enough to know better" whenever they were mad at me. Being taught things was a myth.

I work retail..and all the problematic customers are older people. Majority of them can't handle the fact we ask for ID (because it's literally the law), rant about politics, are creepy or attempt to bring up compliments; that are just outdated, and also my least favorite type of customer: explaining how back in their day that prices were so much smaller, and it's downright robbery that a candy bar at a gas station costs almost two dollars; I just work here. I'm not just some magical being that controls the laws of the universe lol. . Edit: Forgot to mention that I once tempted to refuse service once, because an old man yelled at me for saying this statement: "Sir, I have a girlfriend and making the joke I'm flirting with you over scanning your ID to buy alchol is inappropriate..I will sell you the product but for next time; please remember it's the law and my existence despite your rant isn't against the law. When I was working retail during highschool I would overcharge rude customers. My boss didn't like the asshole tax but jokes on him he payed it twice while I was working there :3
i used to work retail and the older customers were absolutely terrible. however, the old employees can be even worse at times. I had this ~70 year old cashier that would constantly tell me that I'm "too young to be tired" every week on my opening shift after I worked closing shift the night prior. One day, I was sick of arguing with them, so I told them that they're "too old to be alive" and immediately they called a manager over to have me be moved and I never heard a word from them again.
The radioactive stuff is easy to find though since it's usually always a bright green glass. At my store, it's always bought by one little old man that likes to break it for art projects.
Most of the time they are kept in glass cabinets to look pretty in a dinning room for like company or whatever. Both my grandparents have sets of China and other classy dining antiques. From what I can tell they definitely aren’t radioactive. Most of them probably don’t have lead, but that’s a problem for my parents, aunties, and uncles to worry about.

@@raiisleep It seems my implication was lost in translation. NBD. Yes, the Cold War did end 30-some years ago. Vietnam, however, notably ended a decade or two prior to that, and yet, as seen in the vid, they keep bringing *that* up, too. I'll extend charity and the acknowledgement of the vernacularisation of these terms to people who don't continue to harp over conflicts they grew up with, which were contemporaneous with the terminology of geopolitical alignment. 14:06 when we cleaned out at my grandparents, many of those fancy and mostly decorative dishes was just given to blue cross. Or whatever you call those stores you can just give them stuff and then they sell it. While most of the more regular dishes were either put aside for later or taken home by my sister and I who had both moved out, but not in something big yet. I also already had a bunch of plates with a floral pattern from my grandparents which I got when I moved out and they still were alive. I don’t have any regrets about the many dishes I let go to some random people, but most of my furniture in my current apartment is from my grandparents. I also have way more glasses than I need, but I still shed a tear when I put in some weird textured glasses we used to drink of when we visited them.
I kept some of my grandparents' furniture and dishes, but only the stuff I saw them actually use. I have the blue cup my grandfather used for his coffee every morning and my grandmother's 'normal' plates. Fancy china that was never used has no connection to them and holds no memories.
@@Avellania that’s exactly where my box of plates came from when I moved out. They just had it somewhere in the basement. Well, it wasn’t exactly fine China, but it looked like it
That dishes one hit kinda hard... My father in law is like that, but replace dishes with piles of sentimental junk left in a flooding basement for 25+ years with no care given to its upkeep.
I won't deny I found the comment about holding onto some of the stuff because you're keeping the happiness it gave others a really sweet sentiment. I live in Newfoundland where tea is more of a way for people to get together and make memories over a nice warm drink, so I can understand that person's sentiments. Just sucks that it's buried under a bunch of butthurt boomers that are just mad because their kid went "oh no thanks I don't need that"
One day there was this table out in the hallway in my apartment building with the word "free" hastily scrawled on a piece of paper towel. I l took it and loved that table more than most of the things I've owned most of my life. You can't force sentimentality. Often times those old people literally never used that China because it was "too valuable." So it didn't make them happy, it was an investment. Meaning if I sell it I am honoring their wishes.
@skeetsmcgrew3282 yeah definitely. There's a ton of knickknacks my mom has as she used to travel a lot before i was born. Mom was chill about it and let me play with them, so they still hold a lot of sentimental value to me despite never traveling like she did.
Yeah, I agree that family heirlooms can be a powerful thing, and if you want to hold onto those memories, then you absolutely can and should. The problem is just that these sub-human garbage heaps want to make it an obligation. They want to say you're REQUIRED to hold onto things that mean nothing to you, just because THEY liked them. Or didn't. Who even knows. Trying to order someone to do something like this is the quickest and easiest way to get them to never, EVER want to do it.
The bit about boomers hating millennials made me laugh because yeah, it's wild how mad they still are at us like I can understand when they were mad about us being snotty teenagers but I'm almost goddamn 40 now! Hahaha
Everytime there are articles about millennials, it's about us not spending money. Boomers have all the cash, why not spend it on the things they love? Why should we care?
They're insecure because by the time most of them adopted digital technology they were too old to properly learn it, while since their kids grew up with it, it was as easy as reading for them. It made them feel stupid. Learning how to use a computer or whatever uses the same parts of the brain that learns languages, and the older you get, the worse that part works. Boomers who adopted tech in the days of dial-up were young enough to learn it. Those who waited struggled once it became impossible to ignore it.
here's a thing about the dishes/fine china thing, depending on when that stuff was made, and what it was made with, it could be radioactive or contained lead like those novelty glass cups McDonald's used to do.
Uh out of curiousity how far back did mcdonalds have lead in those glass cups😅 my mom still has one or two in her cupboard i think and it may have to "disappear"
@@emmahancock8911pretty much all of them. If you can recognize what series the glasses are from (Charlie Brown, the Crayola glasses they used to sell, ect) search up the characters on the glass + McDonald's glass and if they're safe or not. They're likely still not as safe as regular drinking glasses, but it also depends on the colors used on it as some colors have more heavy metals for coloration than others. Magnesium and Lead were more popular metals for painted glasses back then

I feel bad for not being interested in many of the old heirlooms, but like. I think the boomers in this post are forgetting how the story behind many of those "nice, beautiful heirlooms" goes something like "my mom got these for free from a gas station promotion, and I thought it was pretty". I wonder how those old boomers would feel if I told them that the only one of my grandparents' old dishes I (a lesbian) really wanted was the tiny teacups that when you hold them up to the light there's a naked woman in the bottom.

@6:30 The boomer is complaining about kids wearing pajama pants in public. Back in Boomertimes that was considered private, like going out in your underwear. I think the first big trend wave of people wearing pajama pants out was in the 00's, when Millennials were in high school and college.

14:00 Listen here, Brenda. Just because something is old doesn't mean it's rare or valuable. The pebbles by my driveway are definitely old af, but even a full bucket of 'em is worth a dollar at most. Also, not all investments pan out; bad investments are a thing. Beanie Babies, Theranos, most crypto and NFT projects nowadays... 'Investment' doesn't mean 'worth a lot'. So "She knew that they would be more valuable in the future"? Naw, she knew jack shit. Vintage pottery *used to be* valuable back in the time of horse-drawn carriages, when having such items passed down between generations was a sign of generational wealth. Back then, decorative pottery couldn't be mass-produced and sold by the millions. Details couldn't be printed on by machine. An old ceramic bowl from Sears isn't worth thousands. With all that said, here's a question for dear old Brenda: If the value is what matters to you, then why are you so hell-bent on ensuring future generations *keep* the old crap instead of *selling* it? The point of having something of value is to convert that value into something else. Cold hard cash for trinkets/baubles, usefulness from tools/clothing. You sell valuable bowls, you wear valuable boots. I wish the definition of 'heirloom' was updated to exclude the random mass-produced crap meemaw bought at Macy's in the 30's. Two generations of separation generally isn't long enough for an ordinary, store-bought item to become sufficiently rare. Heirlooms need actual history to 'em. 'Your great aunt knitted this shawl herself.' 'This was the first necklace your great grandpa bought for your great grandma.' Memories. Connection. Stuff that *really* matters. Nobody is entitled to the physical and mental space of every single generation after them. Kids and grandkids are under no obligation to hold onto every item you've ever purchased. It's greedy and selfish to demand such.

boomers gambling is so dystopian... you ruined the economy WHILE HAVING A GAMBLING ADDICTION HOW?!?!?
They ruined the economy by gambling with taxpayer money, at least, that's what it seems like
It is the gambling addiction that ruins the economy.
And then they blame everyone younger than them!

_Always._
8:25
Fun fact: As a Texan, I can confirm that every damn year, the goobers up in the office are like "Yo should we secede again?" Even though we literally cannot do that.
For context, Texas used to be its own country when we won independence from Mexico (The Republic of Texas). We only got annexed with the US later.

The irony being they hate us but THEY RAISED US!!! So who is at fault really?!!!!
So entitled they think the customer owes them business instead of them having to make the customer want to buy.
here's a thing about the dishes/fine china thing, depending on when that stuff was made, and what it was made with, it could be radioactive or contained lead like those novelty glass cups McDonald's used to do.

My mother is my heirloom. She lives with me now so I can protect her and care for her like the treasure that she is. My fathers ashes (I made them into a necklace) are my heirloom. He lives in my mothers Jewelry box for now.
These peoples “heirlooms” are just receipts of the rampant consumerism of their generation. They feels so attacked by the idea that their children don’t want their trash because they’ve assigned their own value to the amount of “stuff” they’ve collected over the years.
I don’t need my parents old things to express my love for them, I just want them.
6:21 I find it interesting that they said there's no jobs available that use Social Studies degrees specifically, because I'm planning on going to University for psychology...... Which is classified as, you guessed it, Social Studies. That's not even mentioning that there are jobs that can use humanities and gender studies degrees........ (I'm also planning on minoring in LGBTQ and gender studies, because I want to be an LGBTQ therapist specifically so...... yeah)
I would like to take a moment to thank you Oz for recognizing my generations situation as the boomers punching bag. it feels good to be seen.
I've always seen "ok boomer" as the modern day equivalent to an early 1800s man telling a woman to "keep quiet"...but like, in an acceptable way we all just unanimously accept as being totally valid in almost every boomer related situation.
10:47 careful ladies, Oz Media is wearing the cat ear headphones
@6:30 The boomer is complaining about kids wearing pajama pants in public. Back in Boomertimes that was considered private, like going out in your underwear. I think the first big trend wave of people wearing pajama pants out was in the 00's, when Millennials were in high school and college.
Wasn't that also because most pajamas back then was kind of shear
Not to mention the fact that pajama bottoms are comfy as fuck.
"Aren't they your parents?!" Yes. And they hated us when we were children, too.
AYYYY two videos so quickly in tandem!
4:11 reminds me of a good quote from John Mulaney: “If you're comparing the badness of two words, and you won’t even say one of them? That's the worse word.”
5:23-8 Millennial here, and yep, they do! When it comes to dealing with excessive hatred from Boomers and Gen Xers, we crawled so that Zoomers and younger could limp.
Millennials get the worst time of all. People born nowadays know the world is shit, and they are most likely not going to have a house when they grow up. Millennials grew up with the better economy, but have to live the worse one, and that was surprising. From a gen-z.
shoutout to youtubers that make top-tier content with a nonexistent upload schedule fr
gotta be one of my favorite genders
11:50 ngl those are some cool dishes. I would keep them as decoration at least.
I'm happy this Hooligan is back to somewhat regular content! I missed regular Oz content, I just rewatched old stuff to get my fix. Welcome back!
Ah a perfect way to balance back my shit day.
Edit: 11:45 Nevermind i guess ive been cursed with this.
6:50 my video froze here right before oz started speaking, and it looked honestly hilarious. it’s funny how it happens sometimes, it’s funnier that this isn’t the first time this exact thing has happened.
To be fair to Clara, I leave a lot of ratings/reviews on locations in my city, so now I constantly get like Google ratings or whatever asking me to write reviews on places I've never been to, but I have passed with my GPS on.
(I train working dogs, so I write reviews on businesses informing others regarding whether or not they welcome companion dogs/service dogs in training, and our city is very pro-animal welfare so I've been rated highly. But that doesn't mean I want to review that restaurant just because I hang out at the dog-friendly hunting supply store next to it.)
14:21 Or I could, idk, sell them to a thrift store, and someone who actually wants them will be happy to purchase them for cheap.
As a 30 yo woman millennial I literally got my motorcycle endorsement last week. I have a used Honda Grom to start on... Bro dude is really fighting ghosts in his head. Plus a new H.D. costs $25.6K; grrooosss.
