I've made these but i've always used other fillings instead of mozzarella like cream cheese, strawberry jam, peanut butter with bacon. They are a big hit.

I thought was going to be sweetened cream cheese. I am not sure how I feel about mozzarella in a sweet dish, but I would try it.
I bet it's also good if you throw in some bacon! Or use bacon, banana and peanut butter and you've got fancy, rolled Elvis toast!

I love this video, and I am going to make those, they look absolutely amazing and delicious, love and much respect from Athens, Greece.
Koreans have an interesting palette. I've seen them add strawberry jam to a savoury sandwich, condensed milk on top of a savoury dish and now mozzarella with banana?!?!?! Don't get me started on the snacks at the shops lol
Do not French people eat blue cheese etc as a dessert with marmalade and fruits? Koreans just go a little further
And of all these mozzarella has the most neutral taste, so why not use it with a banana

This is a fantastic concept and I appreciate this recipe however personally I think it would taste much better with cream cheese but it still looks amazing and I cannot wait to give it a try
I agree. The mozzarella kinda threw me off since it's a savory cheese and not a dessert cheese. Even brie might work in this case.

As I was watching, I was reminded of some the toasted cheese sandwiches I used to make many years ago.
I liked to experience with different tastes and combinations, and one of my favorites was this mixture:
butter, mustard, spinach leaves (no need to cook them beforehand), banana and cheese (a more flavorful, not too fresh cheese was what I found to be best here).
Simply delicious. Sometimes I added curry, and a bit of paprika. Tasted real good too.

And I also used a little onion a few times. And tomato. And black pepper. They were indeed flavorful and juicy sandwiches.
I'd forgotten about this when reminiscing about past culinary experiments, yesterday 😉

Sundried tomato might indeed be the the best tomato option for these type sandwiches, as they're already juicy enough, and it'll add a tart-sweet contrast to the very sweet banana.
Thank you for the parmesan cheese tip; it sounds yummy, and I should definitely try. I guess I'll have to get back into the sandwich habit again...🤔
I was a greater bread consumer in the "olden" days, when we made our own delicious whole wheat & oat bread, for the family as well as for sale. Said bread, btw, was the bread I used for my sandwiches.

My sister just sent me this... She said this is how I cook, specifically the bread slapping. Apparently I slap all my food. This did make me go and try this. I'll say the cheese and banana is definitely an interesting combo, but the sugars tie this all together.
