    I know they don't respond to comments, but I would like to see they talking about how you guard a shooter who is on a slump. Do you take advantage and help a little more off him or stay close like he's gonna make the shot regardless? not leaving room for him to get out of the slump

    • @rickbrees3297
      @rickbrees3297 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

      I got no credentials for you, but off an experience and logic, in a pickup game you would absolutely sag off. This works against players who like to drive to the rim as well. Give them a larger buffer to make them think and hesitate which equals miss. Now organized ball is different because of the timed nature of the game. The opponents have no time to allow a specific player to get out of a slump, unless they have no other options or he’s got that cache, thus less shot attempts for them. You should absolutely sag, however these are nba players. Hands down, man down. And you don’t wanna cost your team. Jamal Murray played like trash against Lakers then hits back to back shots to close the game out. Anyway, there’s no yes or no answer here, only suggestions that have to still be guided by your instincts. But philosophically I hope you understand it a bit better.

    • @lola3116
      @lola3116 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Probably depends on the shooter who is having a slump. For example in crunch time, if it's normally a clutch shooter I don't think you wanna live with that. Another thing if you sag of him and he starts making a few, that confidence is there again and he's not in his head anymore that's a disadvantage

    The depth of the Dallas bench to be able to offer different types of defense and offense will be key on the series, they can try to burn out the starters of boston as they dont have that much rotation as Dallas. And the bench points will make the difference if dallas can get more points on the times there is a rotation, and I think luka would need to be smart and look to target someone for foul trouble, dont know if JT or JB depends on who is his main defender.

    YT should implement an IQ threshold in the comment section. I just lost 12 braincells reading these comments.

      @@That1tree05 it's kind of a running joke at this point ... half of them aren't really serious comments
      though the speculation might actually be real.

    The more you listen at this podcast the more you see coaches have been playing tough chess matches with their opponent.

      In chess pieces are always executing the same way. Sports coaching is much harder with performance variables and changing matchups.

    What are the odds this script comes to fruition: JJ Reddick gets hired by the Laker’s. JJ works with Pelinka in off season to acquire players that can stretch the floor and defend. JJ injects his own variation of “Mazulla Ball” into their offense. Still centered around Lebron/AD, they battle through the west on a collision course towards Boston trying to repeat. Historic chess match between two greatest franchises. NBA ratings go through the roof. Wishful thinking ik, but still in the range of outcomes 😂

    I like JJ ‘s way asking question. Person who get interviewed will appreciate his questions. Because if you’re Lebron, those championship detail question related to him mentally.
