Just opened an account 30 mins ago. It was easy although I didn't see the investment profile page. Anyway biggest challenge will be which stocks/mutual funds to invest in lol
Also mention earning E-Trade Platinum status. Without it, call wait times for customer service can take hours.

But don't expect any help from them. I don't know how other Stock brokers are reacting to Covid 19, but expect to wait up to 45-minutes to get someone on the phone and 3-5 days for an answer to your E-mail message. I've had it. That's why I'm now on a search for a decent broker.

Unfortunately, you can't with E-Trade. Also under Sri lanka law, you need to go through a human broker at a brokerage firm.
The most reputable broker in the area is Interactive Brokers.
