Astarion's pure rage at the end legitimately scared me lol... Neil Newbon is a talented gift to this world. He seriously did so INCREDIBLY WELL on this character.
It's kind of sad that most of these scenes/dialogue lines were removed for the full release. The new scenes are lovely too, but there's something really raw and impactful about so much of the EA dialogue.
He's so cruel when he's hurting... When he's scared... Lashing out at an outstreched hand because all he's known is pain He knows his tongue is sharp enough to wound, to hurt... It's one of the few weapons he feels he has
That's true, but the menaces, those feel like he doesn't beleive he can actually kill you, that he will probably die if he does.. still he don't want to feel scared of anyone again so if he has to live through abuse outside of Cazador's grip, ye, may as well just defend himself. Seeing him so scared makes me hurt
For anyone interested, according to some old sourcebooks I read on vampires for my campaigns as Dungeon Master, EVERY vampire is different from another, there are no two alike, even if one created could inherit some traits from it's master, it is always a gamble, so while some could be stone-face machines, others can 100% be like Astarion is, others just grow to be "different" as they stop thinking like a mortal would, this goes for liches too, somethign that players can actually use to their advantage if they can think of something, as their mental states are warped (for example, a lich or vampire that is INCREDIBLY detatched could not fathom a slave/servant to feel remorse and betray its master, perhaps self-sacrificing, as they would never contemplate to "give one's life for another" and might not see it coming. Depends all on the DM and the creature in question in the end). archive.org/details/vanrichtensguide0000unse this is the sourcebook for anyone interested, it is called Van Richten's guide to Vampires, there are other entries on the list (that come to mind presently, among many others, undead, lycanthropes and liches), I am so glad people like this game, it really feels like playing Dungeons&Dragons, something that is, particularly with dialogue, something difficult to pull off. Seeing particularly Astarion has dialogue in case you kill a sick party member before speaking with him it's something I love to see!

Well, the scene was cut off in the video, but in-game the scene continues: Astarion says Cazador fancied himself a poet, and tells you his memory of the night Cazador "composed a sonnet" by cutting the letters into the skin of Astarion's back with a razor. Astarion ends the tale with the words: "The more I screamed, the more mistakes he made... and the more _corrections_ were required." in a voice both matter-of-factly and filled with remembered pain. Worse, later we find out Cazador lied to Astarion... what is written in scars on his back is _not_ a harmless sonnet but something much more sinister.
This is a unique warlock dialogue if you tell Astarion that - "Raphael is just a cambion and he can be outwitted" - to what do you get such a reaction The rest of the classes have a slightly different analogue of this dialogue, Astarion is more emotional in this case
На релизе к сожалению тоже много косяков, особенно в диалогах с Астарионом - переворачивают смысл его слов с ног на голову((( Но лучше так чем вообще без перевода.
Астарион до официального анонса совершенно другой, сразу показывается его мягкость и очень неправдоподобная колючесть, которую он был вынужден выработать спустя не одну сотню лет рабства, он просто очень молодой и красивый судья, которому однажды неповезло... прям видно, почему Касадор особенно сильно любил именно его крики (спойлер: а у них вайбы общие). Но финал версия конечно стала более серьёзная, повзрослевшая и пленительная, но я так блин скучаю х)
Да((( многие сцены раскрывали Астариона (ну и других компаньонов) сильнее. Я хочу верить, что эти сцены все же вернут - Или сами Ларианы, или мододелы подшаманят. Непонятно вообще, зачем их убрали? Хотя они были готовые, и не противоречили основному сюжету... Ну возможно кроме моменты со "сном личинки" они изменились - Но почему, сразу после того Лаэзель приставит к нашей шее нож, нас сразу усыпляют, и не дают поговорить с партией? Нам уже тогда проспойлерили что Астарион готов на сделку с Рафаэлем в случае чего. Я теперь я об этом узнаю только во второй Акте. И откуда Астр сразу понимает что он может входить в дома без спросу? Почему убрали момент, когда он неуверен в этом и узнает это, только когда входит в дом Карги ... Печаль, печаль(((
@@AlexKhodja да, это верно, но лишний раз его триггерить не хочется, Астарион явно не гордится тем, что находился под контролем, был игрушкой в руках садиста... Он в диалогах с гг подчёркивает, мол, у неё не получится убить Астариона (он хочет рисовать себе такой образ, казаться сильнее, чем есть на самом деле, и очень триггерится, если обнажаются его больные точки)
Только нужно быть готовым к его сидьной неувернности в себе, которая постоянно выражается в жажде власти, и захвате мира, в моих глазах он как злодей из детских мультиков😅😂😂😂

@@ughwut2847 Это сцена после второго сна с личинкой(если юзать способности иллитидов) но что бы стригерился разговор с Астарионом, в отряде не должно быть Шедоухарт(у нее приоритет), либо вовсе ее не брать, либо она должна быть убитой перед ночлегом. Раньше можно было убить ее самому но теперь компаньоны за это неодобрение кидают. Сейчас можно убить фамильяром или приказать ЕЙ попрыгать с высоты.

There is so much fear and insecurity in his voice, it stops being intimidating and instead you can feel bad for him.
Poor Astarion. He’s was abused all sorts of ways with Cazador and now he has more things happening against his will. Love him
