Honestly, chickens can be super friendly. I used to petsit a group of four chickens. They were spoiled rotten. Had the run of the yard during the day and went in the coop at night. They were allowed inside when the owners were home. The vast majority of the time I spent there, I had a chicken in my lap or on my shoulder. There was one who even laid eggs in my lap. I miss those feathered ladies.
That's my chicken's too. I had an Orpington who was totally spoiled. She loved to sit on laps. Would never poop on laps or anything like that. She would jump down off my lap to poop and then come back. She would also steal food off my plate and she loved to drink as well. I would never let her have more than a sip if she got her head into my wine glass (She was quick!) but she was a food and drink thief! XD Lived for 5 years before a racoon got her :(

I think it's a pure sebright. The wings don't droop as much plus his color isn't mixed and still has a rose comb. I don't see any serama in this bird's posture which is very upright, some have very full breasts and exagerated postures. I own a serama. I could be wrong though :)

@@craigslitzer4857 I honestly didn't know there were such specific breeds of chickens lol
Its neat tho
Honestly, chickens can be super friendly. I used to petsit a group of four chickens. They were spoiled rotten. Had the run of the yard during the day and went in the coop at night. They were allowed inside when the owners were home. The vast majority of the time I spent there, I had a chicken in my lap or on my shoulder. There was one who even laid eggs in my lap. I miss those feathered ladies.
Oh Lord, you pet-sitting chickens was one freaking awesome experience!
Laying an egg in your lap!! Wow, that's trusting!!

In my opinion, your rooster may be a Seabrite mixed with a Serama. He has the Seabrite color pattern with the droopy wings of the Serama. They are very affectionate and love attention... :)
Thank you for sharing this, I was wondering!
Aww
I think it's a pure sebright. The wings don't droop as much plus his color isn't mixed and still has a rose comb. I don't see any serama in this bird's posture which is very upright, some have very full breasts and exagerated postures. I own a serama.
I could be wrong though :)
@@sonofromel I have both breeds and IMO that's my assessment. I could be wrong and I am not trying to win an award for my opinion, so it's just my opinion ;)
