I was entertained, don’t beat yourself up about it. You raised money for charity, raised awareness for an incredible cause, and made a friend. The people who can’t differentiate from produced content and reality need to go outside, touch grass, reconnect with reality and learn about the cause you were fundraising for 🇵🇸
As someone who was obsessed with the ayame + yuval series, I respect the decision to end our delusion. It served a great cause and was incredibly entertaining. Looking forward to your future content 🏆
This is a fantastic take and exactly how I feel lol. I was leaning into the delusion of it all because it was fun but I didn’t realize how serious others were taking it. Glad it ended because if they kept going people wouldn’t be able to separate the content from reality
@marcelus4848 confirmed it was a bit. Yuval actually had the idea of her flirting with the bartender (i think maybe her producer idk i was half in and out on who she was referring to with it was his idea). He was absolutely 100% in on it, was in contact wjth her production the whole time. She was enamoured by him obviously but it wasn't a realistic thing and they're now friends.
I think the negative comments speak volumes about people’s inability to separate real from fake and parasocial relationships. If they were genuine fans of the individual people and their content rather than the idea of a romantic relationship , the jokes wouldn’t have flown over their heads like they did
all of these “yall are gullible, the joke flew over your head, how are you so stupid to not get it” commebts are so ableist lmao. theres so many of us autistic people out here that simply have no reason to feel otherwise, it looks genuine to us and so we are confused and concerned when the very public dynamic has suddenly become disrespectful - because thats what it looked like, it rubs people the wrong way
I don't agree with shaming people for not assuming it was fake, but I think folks are more angry at those who both didn't know + attacked her. THAT'S the actual reason this video was made. I don't see a defense for that.
@@lauren-mh6is Don't you dare use the autistic card to cover your own stupidity. Don't you even DARE to talk about ableism, you are in your delusional era and you thought this was bridgerton when the whole point is that Ayame is a comedian, they said several times it was all a joke but you chose to ignore it. you chose to ignore that even in your twisted imagination two grown adult would...film themselves on their first date?! Being autistic is not being stupid, so fix that stupidity of yours or get lost.
@@lauren-mh6is i get that a lot of these comments can be ableist but when they've made it clear that all of it is a skit. They both said it in the podcast ep that they ere simply friends and in many of the tik toks it as made clear to be for charity after the series raked in views and even if you didn't see any of those the date video said EP 1 as in episode , show, produced. Also the main point isn't even that its that yall quite literally sat there like keyboard warriors (like i am now) typing up a storm attacking her telling them how to an how not to feel which absurd even if you have autism.
@@lauren-mh6is don't you DARE use autism as an excuse. Autism doesn't make you stupid, it doesn't make you not hear the several times where they both said they had extremely different lives and interests, it doesn't make you point fingers at Ayame because "she trester Yuval badly gnee gneee". Try to find another excuse or accept the responsibility of you not picking up on crystal clear clues.
So strange people were genuinely upset. I thought the bartender was funny. You would think people would catch on with how produced y’all’s interactions were. Just a fun internet moment!!
ngl i really do think a lot yall give wayyy too much to the general public in terms of “ they shouldve known “ most people are extremely isolated n gullible because of social media with things like this or really anything that triggers emotions , i dont think anyone shouldve directed their emotions at ayame or yuval at all but i also feel its weird to play still play into it after u see people being weird n possessive, like in the first episode people was saying she’s yuval’s . i feel like the general public is right to feel a type of way but not react poorly on that feeling
@@braidenfriday2389 it’s fine to feel disappointment, but it’s your own responsibility on how you manage it. At the end of the day, it’s people upset that this internet relationship isn’t real. Imo that’s not a big deal or anything to be more than briefly sad about, whether you believed it or not. Other people’s relationships doesn’t impact anything serious or anyone personally.
@@thursdaygirl7 exactly my point , i think that the way people feel is fine but again like u and i say reacting in a hostile way is not how u handle it , i preciate u bein more eloquent than me 😂
Not that you even needed to do a 30 minute video proving to be a decent human being. But you still did. You’re a credit to social media, darling. Sending so much love. ❤
I honestly think people need to be so careful with their parasocial relationships. I’m sorry you got abuse from this, I hope you and Yuval are both okay.
@@FatherMaymay ya, ✨abusive comments✨ completely out of proportion to the situation. But, benefit of the doubt, possibly you didn’t see the ones suggesting Ayamé has a personality disorder, among other things.
@@jesspopps oh no, comments on the internet on the fake prank video she made 😲 I hope she's ok 😭😭😭 Like other people have said, it's not real drama as it was all a joke by her, so the comments are similar.
Aw Ayame. Please don't be sad ❤️ I think the reaction to you and Yuval was so much bigger than anyone could have anticipated. I'm glad you and Yuval have made a friendship out of it and you can tell you worked hard on all of it. Please don't be disheartened lovely ❤️
Only on the internet can people not tell the difference between a skit/internet personality and real life. Surely people are not that stupid to be able to tell the difference.
I think it sadly has less to do with stupidity and more to do with the fact that people are living through others.......what they lack in their personal lives they seek in influencers to fill the void. It's unhealthy.....😅
But they are. Thats why reality tv has taken off the way it has. People genuinely cannot fathom that entertainment is exactly what it is, entertainment
@@smome777 This part!!! What I found myself noticing was people were living vicariously through Ayame. Which is cute and all except when she was being partially herself and partially her CHARACTER, people were really mad. And they weren't like "oh this joke wasn't funny" they were like "how DARE you treat him like this?" I even saw someone say they would be so lucky to be with Yuval. Like god damn, she is not obligated to operate exactly how you would and especially not in a fictional relationship.
No I think it’s more that they confirmed it wasn’t a skit in the episode before but it’s not nice to see Ayamé upset, so I think we should lead with precaution in future when critiquing influencers because tbf, it is their job to entertain… her wider audience was however, none the wiser based on the previous info which maybe felt like being cheated? Idk
I really hope Yuval, being your friend and all, can come back on the pod or other content of yours and that this hasnt ruined it. I actually love your dynamic so much regardless of how genuine it is, and his personality is so fun to watch. Whatever happens, i still love you and your content 🧡
This is actually wild. I watched both vids and thought it was super silly and cute… without going back to watch it again and read comments I don’t even know what people would have to say… genuinely confused
It’s the same thing like when people send death threats to actors who play villains on tv . People need to get a grip on reality. You guys helped save multiple families and have gotten so much money raised ! Everything you did was for the greater good and I thank you for the fun engagement !
it's not really the same thing, because the lines between entertainment and reality on social media really can get blurred. So i wouldn't say people who thought this romance was real are stupid, that's not fair. I agree with you though, this is a good opportunity for people to realize that they can't assume to know what people's real lives are like just because they watch them on social media.
@@95ashanti I should have also mentioned people do this to reality star villains all the time as well. Either way it’s entertainment and people need to chill
The way people have reacted to this whole series has been deeply unsettling tbh. I dont throw out "parasocial" relationships lightly but the level of investment people had in strangers love lives felt unhealthy. So sorry this fun light hearted skit ended in tears, you were doing your best to bring us fun content
For real, it wasn't until the youtube videos came out I realised people thought it was anything but a fun way to fundraise and they weren't an actual couple.
The three of you (and all involved) told an amazing, enthralling story that people LOVE, and inevitably people will be disappointed no matter how it ends. I hope you all are able to feel proud of what you've accomplished, and give yourselves grace for doing what you could to handle the insane surge of interest and opportunity that fell on you. Incredible work, all of you.
I really enjoyed both episodes with Yuval, but the Get Tipsy one just really made me appreciate how much effort had been put into this whole thing. Crazy that some people still hadn't picked up on this just being a bit of fun!
When she did Get Tipsy I saw it as her launching her new Chicken Shop Date type of show. Yes I came for the cute fun of their dynamic but I took it as work. A new project. It was literally titled EP 1.
@judysm95 yeah it's such a fun format and them both laughing with the bartender was so obvious it was all just a joke! Sounds like they went to a lot of effort to make Yuval comfortable as well
I will always be proud of you two for raising money AND awareness. This is something we’ve been begging celebrities and other influencers to do and they’ve refused. I hope you are proud of yourself for what you’ve done! I’m so happy I was able to add to your fundraising by engaging with these videos. I watched your whole podcast as a result of the one with yuval, and I’m so excited for season two!
What I found to be the most weird was all these comments acting like Yuval was so heartbroken and saying Ayame "blew" it and all this conjecture about Yuval being upset or uncomfortable with Ayame. If I were Yuval I'd be so insecure by those comments. He shared on the podcast that he is more socially awkward than her and I think a sketch of that nature would make him understandably nervous regardless of the plot. The fact people were so uncharitable to Ayame and over protective of Yuval was just...wild. I'm sad that this feels like an apology. You don't owe an apology because people didn't like a video!
I noticed that too! I wonder if it would be an overstatement to say that misogyny could be involved in the general reaction to the "Get Tipsy" video because that's what it's looking like.
@@cocodahlias I considered that too but I'm not sure. Like, if it were a woman bartender and she were playing the same role towards Yuval and he responded how Ayame did, I think people would be mad. But that's also wildly out of character so maybe it would give the clue that it was a sketch. I don't know! I definitely think people feel extremely comfortable telling women how they SHOULD operate in a relationship setting. Maybe that was at play here, maybe that wasn't!
@@cocodahlias I've observed an influx of the comments about Ayamé blowing it, coming mostly from women. I was feeling a certain sort of projection? (Not sure if that's the word I'm looking for.) A type of parasocial expectation of things going well? Or how they wanted it to go? Like how people might watch Twilight and go, "No Bella! Don't do that! Do this instead!! Ahhhh! She's so stupid." Or family vlog channels or even the video game series 'The Sims' comes to mind.
@@amakaaja1783 I agree with you. I should've been clearer in my reply. I thought that the comments showcasing internalized misogyny instead, was worth pointing out. Cause that's so much worse than just some dudes glazing Yuval and blaming Ayamé, as we'd come to expect.
I think from the video of Oliver reading Yuval's letter I had a good feeling that it was just for content, but the ride was still amazing. The three of you did some real good in the world, and I hope you are so proud of what you accomplished! You've gained a follower and fan for life! ❤
You can’t always give everyone what they want and there will always be people who want things to go differently, especially with how passionate people were and are about the series. You did incredible things by making into a fundraiser and you make me laugh every time you appear on my feed even when it’s just reacting to people chucking bottles down stairs 😂😂
I really enjoyed the Get Tipsy video! My husband and I found it highly entertaining. The extrovert/introvert dynamic between Ayame and Yuval was fascinating, and Ayame did a fantastic job trying to get Yuval out of his shell/comfort zone. It’s a shame the video wasn’t well-received because we would have loved to see more, even in a nonromantic capacity. Ayame, I truly appreciate everything you do, and it’s unfortunate that some people couldn’t recognize the effort and positivity you brought to the video 🤍
Dont beat yourself up, the Yuval content was camp as tits and most of us enjoyed it in my opinion. You’ve cleared the air totally and any lingering distaste will surely fade, don’t let this silly moment ruin such a triumph for your channel because that’s how I see it. You raised so much money and entertained so many people despite what a few lame ppl had to say. You’re winning Ayame!!!! We love you ❤❤❤
I was so entertained by this in a Soap Opera type of way. I loved the cinema and drama of it all while not forgetting that y’all are real people with real lives. Thank you for doing this for us and I’m glad you did. 💜😊✨ Seeing drama + fund raising filled me up in a different way than most content creators do.
I never comment on videos but just feel so called to say - I have absolutely loved every moment you and Yuval created for us over the last 5? 6?! months. Truly my favorite corner of the internet. You are such a gem. Keep shining, keep flirting (lmao). Thank you for showing up the way you do. Sending you so much love. It's been a true joy.
In what possible fucking way am I stupid? I'm sorry they were very believable. Btw I'm not mad at all that it wasn't real. I'm just mad at people saying I'm stupid for not picking up on it
@@ibpersonthe entire way through it was clearly a joke there is no way they would seriously fall in love it was all done through production and planning
This whole thing, including this video, has been THE best thing online.. i think ever. You raised over half a million for Palestine, you entertained us, kept us hooked, and you were real about the difficulties of it. Just perfect. I really respect all three of you and i believe You Ayame will be huge! Much love from Finland.
I am really confused. How did you all actually think that this “relationship” was for real? It’s like thinking that two leads in a romantic comedy who are ACTORS , will get together just cause they can make the relationship look realistic. Of course sometimes actors end up together but veeeery rarely! I enjoyed the whole thing for what it was and bravo to them pulling it off and earning so much money for charity on the way. ❤
Those comments were genuinely soo RUDE. so what if yuval and ayame didn't magically hit it off and have a happy ending or something? People this this not bridgerton this is real life! Not all conversations have to contribute to the "plot". What they are doing is amazing and in here for it. That's all.🎀
Thank you for speaking about this,i was literally just watching the "Get Tipsy" episode and reading the comments, and I'm glad you're actually talking about this, especially with all the backlash. ❤
you're a good person and people will constantly try to pick at things!! thank you for always speaking up about real issues and speaking up for people that deserve a voice
I will always commend y’all for turning attentions to people in need. I’m sorry you’ve been hurt in the process. You’re doing great things for the world.
I loved the whole thing, it gave major fleabag vibes. Especially you breaking the fourth wall constantly! You created an amazing series with Yuval and Oliver. It was played so well and it’s a shame people couldn’t see that it was a production, but it’s testament to how well you all played in and how well planned everything was. Also the fact you managed to fundraise and help so many people is a huge achievement in itself and I know a lot of main stream media personalities wouldn’t have been able to achieve that.
You could tell you put your real emotions into it, and used it to create the story. And I think people don’t understand that real life isn’t a book and sometimes people might be great on the page together but in real life aren’t compatible in a romantic way. And it’s a shame you have had to deal with people being sad or upset but it’s not on you. You are a real person with a real life and deserve to have real emotions
Look, even if I preferred the podcast ep to the tipsy video, I am absolutely not disappointed about it, about you or Yuval, or about the whole "storyline". We got literally weeks of entertainment and suspense, plus raising all that money is something to be so proud of. I never doubted that you guys had good intentions, and whether this was a real relationship or not, I knew you were ultimately doing it for a good cause and that alone was worth it. Thanks for clarifying the situation, but mostly, thanks for the ride these past weeks.
Wow, I mean beyond what’s already been said in the comments, this was clearly partially inspired by Chicken Shop Date which is meant to be awkward and cheeky. Also, Ayame literally said in the podcast that she is her own person. How do you become a fan of someone and then miss a statement like that
I really love and appreciate your honesty, and it takes so much courage to be seen Ayame. No one saying bad things to you can take being seen to the level that you’re being seen. You’re amazing! Keep going ❤
Incompatibility is not a bad word. I think the issue with parasocial relationships is that its not like reading fan fiction. I read the vibes after the 1st podcast episode (so I never even watched Get Tipsy ep but saw some TikToks about it). I've never felt the need to leave hate. Im not sure why people can't just also understand that you are REAL human beings. Doesn't need to be any more complicated than that.
from the jump she was being all "I love you" and you could tell Yuval was not reciprocating that lol. I highly doubt she'd ever say that genuinely to a guy she just met! I was like, this will be a fun quirky time. The fan fiction comparison is spot on.
genuinely so uncomfortable to see how many people do not realize that there is a difference between social media and real life... life it's clearly just for fun no? And at any point it turned serious, as if we'd hear about right away. They'd be private about it at first like any one in their right mind would
It was not clear at all, and no I didn't think they just immediately decided to announce. I figured they had been together before the first Tiktok, but soft launched it
@@ibperson This reads like parasocial expectations from being chronically online. As in, you've observed similar instances of social media relationships before and gotten invested, like this, before. That's not on them.
@@ibperson you thought two people who hadn't met or spoken directly to each other until they filmed the podcast episode were genuinely in love with each other?
@@yokoohellno I never watched the pod, so if they said it there then I would've known, but other than that, it was not obvious they hadn't talked. I fully thought they had been together for months
Back in like 2015 in the Philippines there was a live noontime show that did a similar thing. There was a newcomer to the show who had a crush on one of the established hosts and the crowd (including me) ATE THAT SHIT UP. So the producers ran with it, for a solid year or year and a half. There were elements of reality like using their real names but the whole thing was definitely still fiction. Fans were just as delusional, there are some fans who still believe that those two people are married and in love. And they get HELLA rude and nasty to anyone who tries to bring them back to reality, including the actors who were involved in the whole story. All of this to say, you, your team, Yuvall, and even Oliver pulled off an AWESOME story that swept people away. Much like the noontime show in the Philippines, fans just get WAY too emotionally involved with it and don’t know how to cope with it all. You all did your jobs extremely well and made a captivating story, and (most importantly) for a good cause. I really really hope the loud minority of people don’t take away the pride you should feel with this cinematic experience you were able to create.
You're talking about AlDub right? If so then you're so right because I've been comparing YuvAmé to AlDub ever since the meetup and because of my experience with it, I could kind of gauge how much of YuvAmé was genuine and how much of it was really just for fun. I think since a lot of people who were into this whole thing aren't as familiar with how Filipino loveteams work, something like YuvAmé definitely hooked them into thinking something more could blossom, but all the hate comments against Ayamé were just too much
@@cocodahlias yes AlDub!!!! And you’re spot on about gauging the fun vs genuine cause the Filipino audience have had tons of training with how much the industry pushes loveteams. We still eat it up and sometimes be a little delulu with certain duos, but it’s not novel to us by any means unlike most of the people whose first experience with something like this was YuvAmé. So annoying that people took something fun and rewarding to instead hate on Ayamé 😕
I followed you and yuval separately before this, this has been so fun and done a lot of good. And I liked the video and the bartender bit lol. I'm excited to see what you do next 💚
I have to admit I’m so surprised!! Ayamé, those videos were so, so funny and well made (and how I discovered your channel, actually). You can really tell that so much hard work went into producing them both. Also the interactions between you and the bartender had me CACKLING. Also, also: You breaking the 4th wall in your videos and looking in the camera always has me screaming. lol Obviously this is like surreal reality-tv-esque type of content. Maybe some people just didn’t get/understand that?
It's a shame that people made this weird and uncomfortable for Ayame, but I've had a rough time lately and this consistently put a smile on my face. Getting a proper finale with hours of funny content is way more than I ever hoped for. Did people expect these two real people to turn their lives into a rom com or something?
I haven’t followed the love triangle bit as much on TikTok but I always found the content (on both YT and TikTok) very entertaining! It’s clear that it was all tongue-in-cheek mixed with some sincerity (esp in the podcast ep, some very sweet friendly moments between you two). As for the complaints about you looking at the camera, it’s obviously part of the bit/humor! You’re essentially breaking the fourth wall in the moment, like in Fleabag! I loved those elements throughout the Tipsy vid, very fun and silly, great work as always, Ayame!
Warning: this is a rant! Commenting this because while I am a fan I feel a lot of people need a bit of a wake up call… so news flash: it was never going to be real. This entire situation was content. Like they’re entertainers here to make content nothing more unless explicitly stated otherwise. So this whole parasocial I hope they get together sentiment is extremely toxic and parasocial. They’re two real people not fictional characters you can just ship. And the fact you couldn’t even imagine these skits or videos were satirical? Like please it’s not hard to see. Please get a grip because you’ve just made one of your favorite creators cry on camera, for what?
lol hey autism exists and satire is, in fact, hard to see. fuck the hate comments but you should stop living in a closed off bubble where only neurotypical people exist to you, sick and tired of seeing the entire community indirectly get called stupid because we cannot read social interactions the same way you can.
the responses to the “get tipsy” video genuinely baffles me. it was such a fun video to watch! please don’t apologize ayame, sending so much love to you and yuval!
Ayame, regardless of what people thought about the get tipsy video, as an Arab I appreciate the fundraisers you raised for Palestine❤️❤️❤️. It’s pretty rare to see this consistent support for people who are suffering daily and to remind people to stay aware of the issues going on. I really really appreciate it , I loved all the videos along with the tiktok series ❤️❤️❤️ you, yuval, and Oliver did very well thank you
the time, effort and planning that went into this entire project to make sure you did it right is so impressive. it was so well thought-through by you and your team, all while fundraising so much money. entertainment sells! but also the internet is a scary place ig. will be watching whatever direction you decide to take next!
Ayame shouldn’t insult people’s intelligence further by saying everyone wanted it to be a relationship. That’s becoming the main angle now, yet if you took any poll - All people wanted was them to sit & talk normally, even BREAK the illusion & hopefully let us in like she’s doing now. It was so overproduced for something that started so organically, and it should have been obvious to Ayame that an entire production team would HEAVILY complicate what is essentially 2 young ppl meeting up. The person a show is named after, has enough power to decide they want a single camera or more closed set - that was not handled the way a very first meeting should’ve been. The control was there to make it more relaxed or what they wanted. It’s the needless complexity that did not ‘seem’ to take care of Y or his comfort, amidst the weirdness of this all. So 5:43 is simply untrue. And with an even power dynamic between them, there was ZERO need to bring in so much beurocracy/managerial involvement.
I get that some of how the ‘date ep’ landed was due to fundraising timing - the longer they dragged it the There was room to make it relaxed or what they wanted - maybe even shot on iphones like before. more people got invested. But it was mainly Ayame’s “date character”, jokes at his expense, and comments that put her in a bad light that led to much disappointment. The style should be worked on overall for the career’s sake, as it may potentially alienate the filming partners or viewers.
Lol not you overanalyzing stuff. Both of them played a character. No one is taking no one's flirting seriously. No joke is made on anybody's expense! It's CONTENT. She had to make a video for people like you. Who talk about intricacies and "not handling things the right way" bro it's content. Either you like it or scroll past it. There's nothing to dissect. Y and A had it all figured out about how it's going to look. So you crying over this shit is no different than people with parasocial relationships with them that got mad at A for flirting with another guy. And she isn't trying to insult people's intelligence but some people actually aren't,like the ones who analyzes right from wrong in a FICTIONAL content. Lol @msmiami212
Honestly I really like this format. I know you’re a comedian and I’ve sincerely enjoyed your videos on instagram but it’s also nice to see a more genuine and vulnerable side of you 🫶🏼
I loved all the videos with you two. I couldn’t tell if it was real, but that didn’t matter. The videos were funny and it was nice to see you two interact, whether romantic or not. I hope your friendship is able to grow despite any negativity.
Ayame I am so sorry you’re dealing with this. Just wanted to say that I’m sure the vast majority of people engaging with your content enjoyed all the videos including the drinks one (I know I did). Like many I have been following this saga since the beginning and loving it so much I kept trying to explain it to people not on tiktok to talk about it 😅 I haven’t really commented on any of the videos until now so just know most people viewing and liking probably understood the exact angle you were going for, had a laugh and got on with their day. Sadly on the internet the haters are often the loudest. Thanks for making so much fun content ❤
I love you Ayame and Yuval, together or not❤keep being you and your utmost true self. I can only speak for myself but I was very entertained all throughout the journey of THE LOVE TRIANGLE 😂 whatever you and Yuval decide to do or become I all here for it. 😌🥰 Hated the bit when you were crying😢I actually love that you guys decided to stay friends and who knows something might happen behind the prying eyes of social media 🤞🤭🤭
I think the majority of people understood the jokes and felt entertained. Don’t let the loud minority bring you down. You are super funny and entertaining and one of my favorite content creators for a variety of reasons.
I think this is a good reminder for people to be kind to people on the internet who have decided to share their lives/themselves (reality or sketch) with random strangers. There are real people behind the videos you enjoy and you should be kind regardless of your opinions. I enjoyed the entire experience (as a hopeful romantic lol) and hope Ayame and Yuval can continue to do what they love (creating content) genuinely without worrying about what odd parasocial others have developed. 💕🌸
Loved all of this - the whole series- and the get tipsy video was fun. Would still love to see Oliver on the pod -- not as a part of the triangle -- but as two cool people hanging out, would be super, over the top fun. Looking forward to continuing to following along all the great, fun, and entertaining stuff you do Ayame!
Just here to say thank you for entertaining us. Always prioritize your health and sanity. You are amazing and I’m sorry this joyous, hilarious content you and Yuval created for us caused you any pain. ❤
Bless your sweet, gentle heart, Ayame. You didn’t deserve any of the hate, and for what it’s worth, I got that it was all a bit, and I thought it was great. It breaks my heart that something meant for fun ended up hurting you so much. You’re an angel, and I loved the whole thing. Best wishes~
Your views have gone from like 9k to 566k from the yuval content, thats a huge achievement and i hope you are able to celebrate that despite the rude people. Don't beat yourself up about their inability to separate reality from social media. Some people can't be pleased. I too hoped a real romance would blossom but alas that may have been unrealistic. A normal person would not give u crap for that. Don't let the haters get u down. We love ya x
While some of the jokes didnt all work for me in the video i never thought "Oh Ayame owes us an explanation for this!" And its kinda nuts that people were horrid about this. Sorry Ayame! Edit: like the fact this was about Get Tipsy threw me off💀 I was sure this wouldve been about something else
i think anyone who has enough time online to leave hate on people trying to make content and raise money for charity have a lot more to work though it makes me so sad to see you upset from people who don’t deserve your energy
Idk why everyone in the comments is berating people that were invested for not checking their parasocial attachments as if the entire thing wasn't built on exploiting and pandering to peoples parasocial attachments (which isnt even necessarily a bad thing but was definitely what they were doing) This is the first (and i think only) point in this entire saga where its been explicitly stated that everything was essentially just entertainment but y'all are mad at people for engaging with it as something authentic (a term which Was explicitly used)?
On multiple occasion it was insinuated that it was real. Tik tok and interviews they had. You can expect people to read through the screen what is real what is not, if people didn’t believe it was real it would not become as big.
True, and i also dove deep into this lore because of how authentic their interactions felt and didn't feel weird like most "scripted ships" are BUT the main focus here is how some of these people have gone overboard, way too much, and that's what ruins it. Maybe some didn't word their arguments properly, but I don't think people are actually berating the parasocial aspect cause clearly most people joined because of exactly that. They just have greatly crossed the lines.
This whole thing was fun, and I feel like that was the point. It was fun and it raised a ton of money for a good cause. Ayame and Yuval becoming friends because of it is amazing and fills my heart, and that's more than enough.
The bravery it took to be as vulnerable as you both were, was so beautiful to see. The genuine kind moments you shared were so heart-warming! I loved the little plot lines and how seemless it all felt (especially the youtube videos). Raising as much money as you did and being able to do so much good. your time and efforts were not wasted. its made me believe in humanity a little more than i did yesterday. so, thankyou x
I hope you don't factor the success of this journey (on the entertainment side that is) as a failure just because of one video not landing. What you guys did for tiktok and the internet was one of its kind and that's why it reeled people in in the beginning and what kept reeling people in per video. And everyone ATE up the podcast meet up. Your achievement in being entertaining this whole journey is nothing short of a success and amazing. Truly. And let's not forget what you all managed to raise for Palestine. It's not easy to be equally entertaining and doing incredible charity but you guys did in a way that was so organic(at the start at least) but juicy. Big yourself up Ayame. Keep your chin up girl
Not believing that there are people genuinely upset about this. Ayame don’t feel disappointed. Literally every video and detail thought out was perfect and hilarious. Meeting for the first time on camera, you talking and saying jokes to the camera, the bartender, the blanket joke...literally everything was too funny and I enjoyed every minute of it, even knowing it's all entertainment and was made. I laughed so much I loved it They raised money from this to help!! You are genius.
I think especially with the humour moments being taken the wrong way has to do with the difference between british and american humour. As a brit, adored that episode, the dry humour, the camera glances at moments, i found it funny and a good watch. Im so so sorry you recieved so much backlash for something that was clearly light hearted.
Very good point!!!! In Britain we love satire, with, dry humour, sarcasm etc but unfortunately many Americans can be very very very literal and it goes right over the heads …
As a new sub, I found you as a result of all this fanfare around the Yuval saga. As such, I never expected this to turn into anything material in real life. I was shipping you two as a part of the mystique of the series but I’m not disappointed you aren’t starting a life together- even though no one would have been mad if it had bc you’re both PRECIOUS❤ So thank you for the explanation, but not needed. People are weird and need to get a grip… I count this whole thing as a massive success! Congrats love!
You absolutely did a fantastic job in keeping people entertained! The people that had issues with your camera work clearly were only here for this specific story you were telling because it is something you do a lot(and very well I might add) Don’t let the haters dictate your future content, there’s plenty of us who love you as you are ❤
USA humour vs British. I’m Aussie & our humour is very British. I loved the whole story & find you hilarious. It was fun & you raised money for an amazing cause. Thank you both!
It’s gotten to the point in society and humanity where media literacy MUST BE TAUGHT IN SCHOOLS and in the home as well. This parasocial relationships consumers on content develop is scary. To not be able to determinate the difference between entertainment for views and honest genuinity is insane. Ayame is hilarious. Everything about this has been hilarious and entertaining and it’s a huge bonus that money for charity was raised in the process. Not many content creators wake up with such generosity in their hearts. Most of them live on million dollar mansions and have kept quiet. I love ayame and feel so bad she experienced this. I hope she never changes
Truly enjoyed the entire journey. Was kicking my feet and giggling any time you guys were on a screen - including the get tipsy vid - you created a magical world that brought so many people together. What a beautiful thing. Throughly entertained and glad its come to an end, because I'm so looking forward to whatever new journey you take us on next.
I'm so happy to hear you folks have a friendship. I enjoyed the ride! In all the hardships we see unfolding on a daily basis it was such a great break and for a good cause. Xo
I just discovered you like a week ago and I cannot believe some people cannot see thru your jokes 😭😭 the jokes went right over their heads babe it’s not you😭 a lot of people I guess have no sense of humor so keep doing you please! I have been binging all your content❤️
I'm a little late to the party but I will repeat some of what I commented on the date video. I have a problem with not just the fact people can't handle parasocial relationships, but especially how most of the discontent was aimed at Ayame specifically. The things that make her funny and that got her a large following in the first place are the things people were now criticizing (her confidence, her flirtiness, her jokey way of going about it). It's a freaking tightrope (esp as a woman of color) to put yourself out there but never be seen as 'too much'. Not to mention she carries the entire production (as was clear before but especially now she explained more in this vid), Yuval just has to show up, which means any criticism with regards to script automatically go to her. He got the leniency (nobody was mad at him for sometimes being awkward or even falling silent while she got things back on track) that they BOTH deserve. The fact that people were making Yuval out to be more genuine than Ayame (while again she is responsible for the production of her show and probably is thinking about multiple things at the same time while guiding them both through an episode) is naive and frankly sexist. I have a real bone to pick with people who in real life might consider themselves to stand for equality but time and time again show that they simply cannot come at people with the same ability to put things into perspective, the same kindness, the same leniency. That mixed with messed up ideas of what is and isn't okay to comment IN GENERAL on real people (regardless of whether you understood the joke or not), is putting especially women and women of color in really shitty situations when they are just trying to be entertaining.
I have not read the comments on that video, but I watched and loved the video and all parts of it. I’m sure there are plenty of others like me that enjoyed it as well, but unfortunately the mean ones that did not understand the bit are often the loudest. I’m sorry you are having to deal with this and know that there are people who understood the jokes and have enjoyed and appreciated all of you and your teams hard work ❤❤
Agree it was potentially a loud minority. I also thought it was hilarious and fun. But I wasn't emotionally dependent on a positive outcome (i.e. them being together).
Personally I loved it! Im so deeply sorry you have been attacked by those who haven’t understood what this was. You are amazing, and hilarious. Thank you for taking the time to create something so fun and so incredibly helpful to the world around you. It’s absolutely inspiring. You are doing perfect. Also its not embarrassing to cry, just in case you thought differently
Your guys' whole series and story was wonderful to watch unfold-incredibly entertaining-and you guys did SO MUCH good while making fun and creative content. Both of your content made my days brighter with each chapter, and I think it was wonderfully handled. The podcast, get tipsy, and BTS video were all well worth the build up and I just wanted to say a huge thank you for taking us on this journey and I can't wait to see more 💕💕💕
I personally loved the video, I was incredibly invested in this dynamic but I also had a complete understanding of the reality of the situation that was, there was likely not going to be anything come out of it, and it’s insane that so many people got upset. Being a little disappointed is one thing but being genuinely angry or upset that two real life people didn’t end up getting married from an internet bit is crazy behaviour. You and Yuval have done nothing wrong here and in fact did so much good through the fundraising. I hope things get better for you soon ❤
i loved the episode you guys did! i feel like you all did a great job of making it a skit but still genuine. and idk how anyone could be so upset when it's been for such an important cause. thank you for such a fun ride :)
The parasocial has reached too close to the sun, you guys were having fun and raised a lot of money to help people.
I was entertained, don’t beat yourself up about it. You raised money for charity, raised awareness for an incredible cause, and made a friend. The people who can’t differentiate from produced content and reality need to go outside, touch grass, reconnect with reality and learn about the cause you were fundraising for 🇵🇸
THIS
As someone who was obsessed with the ayame + yuval series, I respect the decision to end our delusion.
I’m not watching this video , how exactly did she end the delusion
@marcelus4848 confirmed it was a bit. Yuval actually had the idea of her flirting with the bartender (i think maybe her producer idk i was half in and out on who she was referring to with it was his idea). He was absolutely 100% in on it, was in contact wjth her production the whole time. She was enamoured by him obviously but it wasn't a realistic thing and they're now friends.
Why were you even obsessed with it in the first place 😭 like wtf
obsessed? please use that obsession and do something productive in your life 💀💀🙏
I think the negative comments speak volumes about people’s inability to separate real from fake and parasocial relationships.
Right, how gullible are they??
ngl i really do think a lot yall give wayyy too much to the general public in terms of “ they shouldve known “ most people are extremely isolated n gullible because of social media with things like this or really anything that triggers emotions , i dont think anyone shouldve directed their emotions at ayame or yuval at all but i also feel its weird to play still play into it after u see people being weird n possessive, like in the first episode people was saying she’s yuval’s . i feel like the general public is right to feel a type of way but not react poorly on that feeling
Other people’s relationships doesn’t impact anything serious or anyone personally.
the bartender had me laughing so hard idk what people are on
@@thursdaygirl7 exactly my point , i think that the way people feel is fine but again like u and i say reacting in a hostile way is not how u handle it , i preciate u bein more eloquent than me 😂
Not that you even needed to do a 30 minute video proving to be a decent human being. But you still did. You’re a credit to social media, darling. Sending so much love. ❤
I honestly think people need to be so careful with their parasocial relationships. I’m sorry you got abuse from this, I hope you and Yuval are both okay.
Lol be for real. She didn't get abused, people commented on her fake prank video
@@FatherMaymay ya, ✨abusive comments✨ completely out of proportion to the situation.
But, benefit of the doubt, possibly you didn’t see the ones suggesting Ayamé has a personality disorder, among other things.

They both spoke about it on the podcast that they’re two different people with their own lives…i don’t get how people took it so seriously.

I’m so confused at the response to the Get Tipsy video. I had such a great time watching it. Please don’t be too hard on yourself.
me too i was sat there laughing so much it was an amazing vid and i don’t understand the hate
Bitch they were very believable
I remember watching some of your vids back during my ACNH obsession
It’s the same thing like when people send death threats to actors who play villains on tv . People need to get a grip on reality. You guys helped save multiple families and have gotten so much money raised ! Everything you did was for the greater good and I thank you for the fun engagement !
it's not really the same thing, because the lines between entertainment and reality on social media really can get blurred. So i wouldn't say people who thought this romance was real are stupid, that's not fair. I agree with you though, this is a good opportunity for people to realize that they can't assume to know what people's real lives are like just because they watch them on social media.
and btw i don't think ayame and yuval did anything wrong and i hate it that some people were mean about it, that's insane!!
For real, it wasn't until the youtube videos came out I realised people thought it was anything but a fun way to fundraise and they weren't an actual couple.
people need to get a grip, truly.
It was a great journey & being able to raise so much money to help people is a cherry on top
@@mr.__.knightthe comments coming from women still doesn’t negate the idea that misogyny may be involved
@@amakaaja1783 I agree with you. I should've been clearer in my reply. I thought that the comments showcasing internalized misogyny instead, was worth pointing out. Cause that's so much worse than just some dudes glazing Yuval and blaming Ayamé, as we'd come to expect.
ayame babe the fact that you sat down to do this, you and yuval both have done such amazing things for so many people.
This is super interesting from a marketing and PR standpoint. Social Media is a scary, fascinating place.

I honestly enjoyed this whole crazy ride! Thank you for the fun Ayame.. I’m not disappointed, it was fun while it lasted.
Look, even if I preferred the podcast ep to the tipsy video, I am absolutely not disappointed about it, about you or Yuval, or about the whole "storyline". I never doubted that you guys had good intentions, and whether this was a real relationship or not, I knew you were ultimately doing it for a good cause and that alone was worth it. Thanks for clarifying the situation, but mostly, thanks for the ride these past weeks.
It feels deeply sad that she feels like she owes an explanation :(
Wow, I mean beyond what’s already been said in the comments, this was clearly partially inspired by Chicken Shop Date which is meant to be awkward and cheeky. Also, Ayame literally said in the podcast that she is her own person. How do you become a fan of someone and then miss a statement like that
Don’t put it on yourself we still love you no matter what❤❤
Yall made my girl cry and ION LIKE THAT!!! We love you Ayame and support you ❤ keep going

Also, also: You breaking the 4th wall in your videos and looking in the camera always has me screaming. lol
Obviously this is like surreal reality-tv-esque type of content.
Making Ayame cry has raised the dragons of war
I know you’re a comedian and I’ve sincerely enjoyed your videos on instagram but it’s also nice to see a more genuine and vulnerable side of you 🫶🏼
You’re amazing! Thanks for the explanation but sad it was “needed” Keep it up and be safe. ❤❤
Like many I have been following this saga since the beginning and loving it so much I kept trying to explain it to people not on tiktok to talk about it 😅
I haven’t really commented on any of the videos until now so just know most people viewing and liking probably understood the exact angle you were going for, had a laugh and got on with their day.
Hated the bit when you were crying😢I actually love that you guys decided to stay friends and who knows something might happen behind the prying eyes of social media 🤞🤭🤭
I’m honestly surprised that even now there are comments under this video still making excuses. “It should have been done differently” etc….
I love you Ayame. You’re literally an amazing entertainer. Thank you so much for your content❤️
ayame pls don’t cry!!! i feel so bad. you were amazing. it’s not yours or yuval’s fault at all. people need to touch some grass
Edit: like the fact this was about Get Tipsy threw me off💀 I was sure this wouldve been about something else
i think anyone who has enough time online to leave hate on people trying to make content and raise money for charity have a lot more to work though
it makes me so sad to see you upset from people who don’t deserve your energy
Idk why everyone in the comments is berating people that were invested for not checking their parasocial attachments as if the entire thing wasn't built on exploiting and pandering to peoples parasocial attachments (which isnt even necessarily a bad thing but was definitely what they were doing)
This is the first (and i think only) point in this entire saga where its been explicitly stated that everything was essentially just entertainment but y'all are mad at people for engaging with it as something authentic (a term which Was explicitly used)?
Nah frl!! Idk why ppl are acting like eb who thought it was genuine was stupid…
It will always be in Ayame we trust . We love you! Forget the negative comments still enjoy your content love ❤️
I laughed so much I loved it
They raised money from this to help!! You are genius.
Of course there are people who are disappointed. Read the comments on the date video
I think especially with the humour moments being taken the wrong way has to do with the difference between british and american humour. As a brit, adored that episode, the dry humour, the camera glances at moments, i found it funny and a good watch. Im so so sorry you recieved so much backlash for something that was clearly light hearted.
This is a good point. Reminds me of drag race us vs uk and the jokes not translating well.
The people that had issues with your camera work clearly were only here for this specific story you were telling because it is something you do a lot(and very well I might add)
Don’t let the haters dictate your future content, there’s plenty of us who love you as you are ❤
USA humour vs British.
