Dude I've been banging my head against a wall for longer than I want to admit so thank you for this. I hope all your Christmas dreams come true or whatever. Seriously thank you.
been searching for a year for this and u got it man thanks! your a young dude but very smart and talented. keep making these tutorials! ive already subscribed and liked
Hi there Rojaz For melodies, it’s best to make them inside Logic. I have found that all the Native Instruments plug-ins that are found in Maschine can be used in Logic. Hope this helps.
All of the Maschine kits from any expansion are in Battery 4. You can just open the kit you want directly, and use the Maschine hardware in midi mode as a dumb pad device - and skip all this setup. I guess if you prefer the Maschine 2 or 3 midi editor, this might be ok, but the piano roll editor in Logic is more capable to begin with - and once you drag the midi from Maschine into Logic, they’ll no longer be in sync as you further develop your song.
I have the new Maschine Mikro and every things works up until the end. I go into midi mode except it won't let me hit group or any other buttons and doesn't work normally as midi mode should? Any help plzz?
So I followed this to a tee, I have everything working except when I hit record thru maschine it does nothing I have to hit record through logic and also when I open the controller editor only half of my notes work any suggestions ? And is it possible to have kontrol keyboard and mk3 to be hooked up at the same time .
Please make a template and let us use it? Lol Out of curiosity, would I do the OPT>Create tracks for selected channel strips, every single time I make a beat and open up native controller?
Hi guy! ( I'm French ) Thank you very much for your tutorial, it helped me a lot. I have a question, the first eight times I want to loop a sample without drums. But after doing everything right the drums play from the start. I want them to start at the eighth beat. How I can do ?
Hi Buzzy Buzz The way I stop Maschine from playing the drums and let them play from Logic is once I’ve dragged in the midi, I create a new ‘Scene’ in Maschine that contains no patterns. Logic still plays the sounds directly from Maschine so if you delete anything inside of Maschine, Logic won’t play anything. Once all this is done, you can arrange the midi inside of Logic however you like. Hope this helps.
Hi, Can I ask a maybe dumb question... all the differences that people talk about drums sounding different and hitting different in logic vs fl and ableton.... when you use machine inside logic do you know if logic processes the drums somehow or do the files tracks maintain the exact same sound and tone when they left machine... thanks, I hope you know what I ean :)
Hey Repoman! People say that drums hit harder in fl studios automatically, which they do. This is because Fl has a limiter on the output automatically. However, this is not always ideal, as often you want to keep your drums sounding the same as the original audio file. The good thing about Logic Pro is that it keeps your drum sounds the same as the original, and you can put some overdrive on the drums to replicate fl studios effect
Great tutorial! Thanks. I’ve gotten everything working until I get to the end. I’m working with an older Maschine Mk1 and can’t seem to add my midi notes to Logic Pro X as you did at the very end of the video. I have both the latest Maschine 2 and Logic Pro X. I’m assuming it’s the setting in the Controller Editor, which I used the Mackie Control template. At the very end of the video you press Group and mention to hit pad 16. Can you explain in more detail what was done at that point in order for you to enter midi from Maschine into Logic? Thanks again.
Hi Boolu Master. I put the Maschine Mk3 into midi mode by pressing “shift, project button”. I then change the “Group” and select pad 16. Changing the pad changes the octave of your midi controller. Perhaps try changing what octave your playing in. For the Mk3 only pad 16 works. Maybe it’s different for the Mk1. Hope this helps.
Thank you!! Tis worked for me so i created a logic template out of it, as well as writing down all the steps on a piece of paper lol Before anybody asks me to send them the template, just follow the steps and then File > 'Save as Template'. Native instruments is slacking big time though man, we shouldn't have to go through all of these steps just to use this damn thing -_-
Hi Pavan Sibal. The way to bring in multiple kits is to duplicate the initial Maschine 2 instrument which will copy the settings set up in this video into another track.
Hi dilly_bones. Open Native Access and enter the Serial Number that comes in the Maschine box. Make sure every "Maschine 2" product is installed and updated. Then you will have the latest version of Maschine 2 installed. Hope this helps.
Logic is great but Maschine hasn't improved its workflow at all regarding DAWs.It's more like an energy-draining puzzle , just a glorified MIDI controller.I've kept it in the hope that it would integrate fully but it hasn't.Well done on what you managed to discover. But it should never be this difficult for new users. It's still at the same level as Mk 1 and 2 were at the transition stage. In that same time Logic X has become superb ! Your teaching is great though ! 👍
Hi ! Thanks for the video. Unfortunately it does not work for me. I've followed exactly your steps but at the end when Logic plays, it plays the library sound of Logic and not the library sound of Maschine. My problem is solved ! But now I have another question. How to add more than 16 pistes in Logic ? I'm limited since I have 30 instruments in my Maschine so I can't have it in Logic since I'm stuck at 16 ...
Hi Techno Fusion. When working with Maschine inside of Logic, there are still some limitations. The maximum amount of instruments you can use from Maschine is 16, so if you want more you’ll have to duplicate the original instrument. Hope this helps :-)
@@zealotmusic3364 I understand thank you. THe problem is when I create an instrument 2, my computer is very slow. I guess that's the sign to get another sound card ?
this is all well and good but you lose pretty much all the cool functionality of the Maschine, for example chord mode and note repeat etc. I prefer to make the beat inside of maschine putting drums in in group A, Synths in B and so on making pretty much the whole loop. Then I would map 2 instances of machine into logic, 1 being for drums and other for bass and the synths, then I would drag and drop all midis in and away you go with arranging and mixing
@@ProducerRCthis is simple to do friend. Just look into mapping one instance of machine into logic there’s plenty of tutorials for this. Use this map for drums only and treat it like your drum group. You can then duplicate this whole maschine channel again and use this machine for bass and synths etc. I found my Mac runs this pretty ok without any issues. If you’re struggling let me know and I’ll be happy to demonstrate it.
YOU HAVE THE BEST TUTORIAL ON THE MIKRO MK3 ‼️‼️‼️🕺🕺 THANK YOU! I hope you prosper and become famous frfr
Dude I've been banging my head against a wall for longer than I want to admit so thank you for this. I hope all your Christmas dreams come true or whatever. Seriously thank you.
I don't have a "Group" button on the MK3, so I'm not able to directly edit tracks in Logic like you did at the end of the video

Hey there SWEATSHOP BEATS! Thanks for the encouragement, I’m so glad it helped you.
Same lol he’s so amazing
Finally some one who explained it well. Thank you!!!
I’m glad I can help
Wow thank you so much, this is the best workflow for Logic pro X and Maschine 2 I have seen!
The best workflow ever!!
I’m so glad it helped you Supa Gravy!
thanks a bunch buddy
What about for melodies?!

what about adding more groups?

when I change kits everything goes back to original. do I need to do this process every time I load a new kit?

the same

I’m not sure about sound cards sorry. The best solution I can think of is to bounce out all the tracks and then create a new instance of Maschine
