    If there’s a kit you like in Maschine or Battery you can search the kit name in the one-shot section of Komplete.
    Then you can shift select the 16 One shots that come up and drag them into Logic to create a DMD kit.
    Then save it to your user patches.
    Much easier than trying to use Maschine as a plugin within logic and more flexible with the DMD format.

    • @shrednut
      @shrednut ปีที่แล้ว

      @@marv2024 was the difference that Logic was quieter?
      There’s quite a lot of processing added with Maschine kits sometimes and I find they bounce out very loud (unless you adjust each kit piece internally). It’s sort of the reverse problem in logic normally for me so I normally fix this by doing something on the DMD track stack like copying the processing machine or making something new involving a soft clipper etc.

    There’s a 4th way. You load Maschine up as a standalone instrument/app and then load logic (you have to do it in this order to get maschine to play nicely with Apple’s audio). You then use Maschine as an external midi instrument.

    I have been trying to wrap my head around so many of these Maschine/Logic Pro videos. I've used Logic for years but am new to Maschine. I like Native Instrument sounds, but I don't feel comfortable in Maschine like I do Logic. Ultimately I'm sticking with exporting the audio from Maschine into Logic and arranging and mastering in Logic. I'll use Maschine as if it's an external Synth or Device. I tried the 3rd step but was confused with the midi/audio syncing patterns.

      Hey. That’s a great question. I actually have a midi keyboard (in addition to maschine) connected to my computer which allowed me to record that additional guitar part. This was great thanks.... can I ask your opinion ... I have just got a mk3 and was considering returning it to get the mikro... would save 350€ but would probably get most of the software licenses stopped... although most of the software and kits are not what I will really use anyway... the mikro comes with 8 gigs of stuff and this maschine mk3 came with 25 gigs... took me 8 hours to install it all and after going through it I would probably not use most of it.. would you think its better to return it for the mikro as I want to use logic for arranging, mixing and mastering... or do you see a benefit in keeping the mk3 ... also I have a launchpad pro mk3 which I find much nicer to use for melodies as there are way more pads... would appreciate your opinion as I dont trust mine :) thanks

    • @BarryDanielMusic
      @BarryDanielMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thanks! that's a great question. personally I too don't use much of the software that came with my maschine but the reason I'd say stick with the mk3 vs downgrading is the functionality. With the Mk3 you can pretty much start and finish a track without touching your computer. In my opinion it's a faster, more immersive experience where I can get in the flow of creating whereas the micros workflow is not.

  • @paulc8147

      For this video I did not. Nor do I ever really use it it midi mode as it turns it into a regular midi controller. The benefit of that is you can assign each knob and button to a function within your DAW. The downside is you lose functionality for the maschine software while in midi mode.

Looks like it isn't separating the tracks nor playing them individually and it is just playing everything on the first track...? I know I must be overlooking something but I. was wondering if anyone knew? Thank you! Good point about 50% in Maschine, 50% in Logic - I don’t like it either. You use Maschine like a sample generator, then arrange those audio samples in Logic. I guess I’m doing the same with samples from my free library or Loopcloud, but I don’t like committing, especially to the beats/patterns. I more used to keeping everything as midi, but maybe that’s just a change I need to accept 😅

    • @BarryDanielMusic
      @BarryDanielMusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can. In short you’ll have to configure your controller in the Controller Editor to determine which buttons and knobs control the functions in your DAW. Once configured you turn your Maschine into Midi Mode.

    There is an easy reversed process to use logic factory instruments and sounds in Maschine:
    1. Create a project in Logic
    2. Create a track with a logic instrument
    3. Sample that instrument track with the Logic Auto Sampler Utility Plugin
    4. Create a Logic Instrument track from the Maschine Plugin
    5. In the Maschine Plugin create a Sound with the AUSampler Plugin
    6. From the AUSampler Plugin in the Maschine Plugin, load the Sampler that you created in step 3.
    7 (optional). Use the Maschine Auto Sampler to Sample the AUSampler from step 6 to make it independent from Logic.
    I will have no time to make a video on this, maybe you can help?
