Yup. I would take this car over any other car ever, besides a 1984-1987 Toyota Corolla Trueno. This CTR and the AE86 are my dream cars. Why? Performance where you need it, but still perfect for DD, and it's RHD!
Canada actually had the Integra Type R one year that the US market didn't. The US had it in '97, '98, '00, and '01. Canada had it in '99 as well as all the other years. It was due to a Honda brain fart, when they decided the ITR was too sporty for the luxury brand of Acura and didn't offer it as a package in '99. They realized the stupid move and brought it back the next 2 years before they swapped to the DC5 RSX in '02.

I was a passenger in my first Honda with Vtec, when he did the first blast up through the rev range I thought the engine was going to come out of the bonnet and sit next to me haha! Good times!
Honda needs to be original & keep the vtech heritage alive, this is what everyone knows Honda for. The new turbo seems like Honda is keeping up with the joneses. I have 1995 Honda Civic & I would say Honda made better cars back in the days! Vtech kicked in yo!
I don't think the "owner" deleted the stereo. If I'm right, i think it was honda. they did it amongst other things to reduce weight. For the next year (then 2001) EK9 model, those things came back. that was called the Type Rx.
He didn't delete, this limited edition type R had striped interior with stereo delete even the carbon wrap, gear knob, speedometer are all there as an OEM, expect the front seats. These guys on straight pipe were simply lying or they didn't know, honestly.
5:58-6:10 i love the engine sound during lowest rpm in 1st gear, that sound a bit like vaccum machine...and the part of start-up engine sound was really common for 90's civic n also 90's accord model...sounds really2 nice👍😎

BTW we will only be able to import this in the US after 2025. Law only allows for cars to be imported without needing to meet regulations if they're over 25 yrs old (if i remember correctly)

I have the new type R and I have never seen or driven a car like it, I had some concerns with how it’s turbocharged and the looks before I bought it, trust me when i say the new type R is a blast to drive it handles well and it’s a great daily car
It's great watching other ppl reaction to revving out a Honda - I have driven them all my life (6th Gen Si and 8th Gen Si) so I am so used to revving cars out to 7500-8500 RPM - My new 10th gen Si doesn't go past the 6500rpm so I miss the high revs but having a turbo makes up for it :-)
Try if you guys can find K20A/B18 Civic Type R, those are rocket ship!! I have an EP3 Civic Si converted to Type R, all DC5R components(K20A, LSD, Trans...) and Spoon exhaust, Buddy Club suspension, short shifter...The fun factor can stop everyone buy a new car! This little thing is ______ nimble!
Hey Jakub it must be hard driving a Type R rhd in North America. Having to shift with your left with hearing the VTEC scream and staying in your lane is probably not easy. I like the special effects 10:09 VTEC kicked in!!
Yea Canadian type r seats are different from JDM ones they just like the USDM Type R but red JDM Type R seats are Recaros also I've seen Canadian Type R seats going for up to $2000 USD
I hate to be the keyboard warrior that makes technical corrections, but the Integra Type-R actually was available in Canada. Infact, here in Canada, we actually got a unique version of the Type-R that was very sought after among US Honda fans. Our Canadian ITR had red seats and carpet, while the US got a black interior. The red seats in the Canadian ITR were unique to Canada only, they were the USDM seats simply covered in red (it was speculated that the JDM red Recaro seats didn't meet Canadian safety standards, or perhaps they were too narrow for Canadian drivers).
canada did get integra type r... when i was a kid my dad had a '90 integra gs and they were on showroom floors. i know a couple unmolested ones in markham.. one driven by a old chinese lady where the full visor face mask thing lol.

Both the US and Canada need to change that import law to 5 years, at which importing competes with used cars, and not new (and likely come at way more of a premium). the kind of buyers that caused the corporate concern trolling to happen in the first place aren't going to bother -that- much, since they don't nerf cars like they used to.
I would drive any type R or a good old S2k rather than any Mustang or camaro. the thing about pushing small engine cars to the max makes you feel so alive.

Nah, the Canadian Acura Integra Type R is a real thing ... and for instance, the red interior from the white CDM 2001 ITR fetches a pretty penny ...
