Actually you can tell Tsuchiya is slowing down on purpose, keeping the revs low just to play with the Ek9, 2:25 - 2:41 he stays at 6k and the moment he pushes the pedal he literally comes right up. Unfair comparison though- 300-400lbs lighter with a bigger engine more torque and Hp 😅

The CTR rear was tip toeing XD....while the spoon was choosing w.e line necessary at slighly lower power than max not bad at all from the EG to be able to still corner/keep up the same pace as the CTR pushing its limits.

That race was very surprising , I know type R's are bad ass , I had two buddies who each had one years ago and they were phenominal cars, but just giving how the bubble was most likely lighter, has a lower center of gravity, aftermarket suspension , good tires and Christ a b18c by spoon not just a regular b18c which def should made a decent amount more power and def torque than the smaller b16b which even in stock form is a nasty little motor im just shocked that the spoon bubble couldn't over take the ek9 until the very end I thought he'd have a decent lead the whole race but that ek9 fought one hell of a tough battle and hung with the spoon b18c, crazy.

Civics use FWD to their advantage with a good diff, torque steer reduction, suspension / chassis type and setup to make the Civics use FWD to their advantage, front wheels pull the front of the car into turns and slight oversteer / neutral turn, rather than mostly all other FWD that understeer
It's a dream to own both of these when I'm not so broke, my dad used to own an EG but he sold it due to a broken engine that would overheat when you go to an indoor parking lot and replaced it with another honda.

Their almost the same. Obviously the eg had the edge due to 1.8 more tq and lighter. But both cars aint too different when racing. All about the driver and what's done to the car. Both are definetly the best civic.

EG6 is my first love in JDM cars and yes now i am in University and it my first car too, sadly am from Thailand. it no have EG6 here only have a few EG6 and price r expensive for my first car n sure i scare to drive it lol if have have money for EG6 here only have EG6 lower spec and it called EG my engine is ZC 1600 non Vtec next project is saving money for b18c i think 1-2 yrs my dream come true i guess haha

Shingo left Night Kids and joined Toudou School and painted his EG6 like Tomoyuki's EK9.
So Tomoyuki and Shingo learnt the bumping technique that way eh

Few things are sexier than a spoon eg. Function to the max and it brings form with it too.
Spoon forkey EF still the best civic, i don't like boxy cars but EF is something else along with AE86 and F40

Both Mustang and Camaro as of today's iteration are more lean towards to grand tourer. They probably have similar weight to the 3000GT/GTO VR4.
