    To get something dead straight, you need to take the angle of the dangle divided with the swerve of the curve and that's how you get the right gyroscopicl effect.
    And this braces that the iron attaches to are called gazinters, cause they gazinter between the trusses.

    Coming along nice when trying to fix bracing on your own just tack an offcut to the top of the 2x4 which will hold it at the proper level .can put one on each end so the piece stays there while you screw it .enjoy

  • @neddyboy01
    @neddyboy01 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You need some diagonal bracing on that roof. Either metal strapping or 2x4 through the trusses will work. Looks great so far.

    Ray and Jay, first of all, thank you for such a high-quality, entertaining show! Your channel is one of the first I check out each day to see if there are any new episodes. While I do enjoy the channel and you're doing a great job, I take exception with but one thing. I have seen you using a Dewalt reciprocating saw while calling it a "Sawzall". Sawzall is Milwaukee Tool's brand for a reciprocating saw. I am not sure what other companies call theirs, but they are not Sawzalls. At any rate, when you call any other reciprocating saw a Sawzall, it is actually advertising for Milwaukee, which I consider the best there is in every tool category. So anyway, keep up the great work and keep calling every saw a "Sawzall".

      If I went with 2x12 I would not have been able to make the whole span in one shot. I would have had to put a post down the middle of the structure which I did not want to do that.
