I’ve been thinking all along that it probably would be a good idea to pull the camper out from under it when ever it storms or the wind blows, and for any time it snows .
If I went with 2x12 I would not have been able to make the whole span in one shot. I would have had to put a post down the middle of the structure which I did not want to do that. The trusses allowed us to span across the width of the structure without putting a secondary post in the middle. Thanks for watching!

I won't be able to add allot ot weight to my terrace, so need a design with minimum material to be used. want to understand the type of trusses and the spacing between them.. there are no trusses manufactures in my county, so have to make them on my own. You need some diagonal bracing on that roof. Either metal strapping or 2x4 through the trusses will work. Looks great so far.
He should put something on the bottom. The top will be held by the metal.
