Hi! I have this model but I noticed during FurMark testing that my card peaks at 312 watts even if I pull the power limit slider all the way to 15% percent and GPU clocks also maxes out at 2170 mhz according to Furmark and the Adrenaline software as well even though I applied a slight overlock to the GPU. Did you do anyting else to reach 435 watts?

It's hard to find reviews that cover all of the APIs and productivity applications giving a full spectrum overview, this review was among the very best that I could find. ⭐👍🏼
The only other review that stood out to me was by Guru3D that had Basemark scores for DX11, DX12, Vulkan & OpenGL which helped show me RDNA2's short comings.
If you are interested, the 6900XT scored equal to a 2070 in OpenGL, less than half of the 3090. If I could make a suggestion, 1 thing I left wondering was about RT, I wish you had of tested also *without* DLSS. I'd like to know direct RT performance between them, maybe how many rays each can calculate.
On a note related to DLSS, how does it work with Tensor cores, I mean, a 3060 for example has way less Tensor cores than a 3090, so does that mean the 3060 would get a higher frame rate with DLSS enabled if it had more Tensor cores? I'm not so sure, I don't know how that works, it's hard to find.
It's crazy that I purchased the 6900xt red devil last year for $1800 and now I just built another rig with this Asus 6900xt for just under $800
There are only few reviews of this card and I'm quite surprised, considering that ASUS TUF is #1 for new generation of cards price/perf. I was lucky to pick it up two months ago and paired together with 5800X. In terms of the performance it's rock solid and amazing 1440p card (gaming) and I so far I've encountered couple of random shutdowns that I'm not able to explain, but it was pointed out in other reviews that 6900xt has crazy peeks and my 750W gold corsair unit is unable to handle it. Other issue is the noise, when card is really going full ham fans are louds (2200 rpm) and the cooling is only decent (72-74°C). For productivity it's NVIDIA all the way...
I have the same CPU and GPU as you. The GPU manual (and the back of the box) both say you need an 850W power supply.
@@The_Wailing_Doom I don't have any random shutdowns anymore and I narrowed it down to OC of 5800x that was too aggressive.
I have a bequiet 700w psu no problems. Those reccomedations are usally set pretty high too
Btw is the merc or red devil quieter? And do you have coil wine too?
My local Microcenter is selling the RX6800XT for $1,399 and the RTX3090 for $2,399. I thought I got lucky hunting down a few units but didn't consider that they'd mark it up to used market prices.

Just got the ASUS AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT TUF Gaming "TOP" Edition Overclocked with the modded TOXIC BIOS and 3GHz (18.6Gbps VRAM) is stable all day long. I got this one brand new for $660. These TOP Edition's have the binned Navi 21 XTXH chip.

I sold my Strix 3090 and bought an MSI Gaming Trio X 6900 XT. Best $1,200 I ever put back in my pocket. The NVIDIA cards are obviously amazing, but also WAY overhyped. AMD is the better buy if you're using the logical side of your brain. If you care what strangers think on the internet, you may think you need NVIDIA.
6900XT is still a waste of money, sell it and get yourself an GTX1030, who need pretty graphics anyways.

It's 3 months I have this card its amazing. Warzone 1440p I get 250fps on rebirth island and in verdansk I get 190 to 240 fps depending where I am on the map......5900x cpu. 32 GB 3600mhz. cl 14 14 14 30 ram Samsung b-die Asus 6900xt

I'd go for the 6900 XT, it's a away now powerful card. For that type of money, I want power not "technologies". I want Rasterization and not dlss trickery...

Wait those power consumption have to be for the entire system. Because the 6900xt comes with a tdp cap amd itself imposes at 300w. No chance you can get the card alone to draw almost 450w. That wattage would require an extra 8 pin connector as the 6900xt tuf has only two.
Yes, it's the entire system. The CPU was sitting idle while the GPU was at full load.
@@Nicolas11x12English 494 entire system for a 3090 is BS mate. You're doing something wrong, my 3090 was over 700W full system. My 3090 MSI Suprim was hitting 500+W alone.
yeah, 60c on Furmark at 500w with a cooler thats like 33% less than the 6900xt's, seems off
Picked one of this up in Australia for 2200 AUD.. The thing is built like a tank and the cooling is fantastic, considering our Australian hot weather. I am a big fan of Asus. I use a high end 1000w PSU. I sold 3 RX580 at over double the price what I paid for them to help fund the price of the 6900XT.

@@adropbear can get one atm for 1400 nzd down from 1700. Which is a steal for anything 30 series related. The 3090 here is 2.6 nzd, absolutely absurd.

I can tell you now on BFV my 3090 gets ALOT more FPS than what your video claims haha 184? XD Please, it was over 220 for me max everything DX12 and no RT.
He is probably testing the tank scene of the game that is easy to recreate and also very graphically intensive.
