I first learn Cantonese listening to swear words from my relatives in KL. Very colourful! Also, Hokkien swear words in Singapore. Ha ha. Now that my command of these languages are slightly better, I am trying to learn more formal expressions.
Irene is one the rare Hong kongers who appreciate Singapore, her govt and people. Met some who obviously dislike this place but still move to this tiny island to live 🙄
I think people don’t like a place can’t stay there for long, because not happy. And true that Hong Konger’s top immigration country is UK Canada , as long as they like, it’s ok ah
@@IrenereneHK hi Irene , Singapore is hot in temperature. many of those studied in sg had return to hk, one reason is the climate and also Singapore is bored in general. No mountainous and seaside areas for hiking in sg. Hk still the best for hk people , no matter what. Great effort to film in TH-cam.
One of the reason is HK property is expensive, which forced them to stay. Some people migrated had sold off everything, property or assets. They can’t return. Whether migrate to sg, North America, Taiwan , Australia , NZ or the UK. So dislike still have to hang on.

Agree with the 比較壓力. Most people always think/find that HK is fast and stressful and after living in HK for few years, I find that the stress is mostly not because of work challenges etc but mainly from humans themselves.

Your clip inspired me the need / way to acknowledge people’s uncertainties and fears, rather than dismiss them, and build bridges between health experts and the vaccine hesitant. Finding a way for our health experts (vaccines expert panel to connect with those) who are questioning vaccine safety, without validating or amplifying concerns, will be a fundamental component to rebuilding trust in our sg health authorities and institutions.

Whether I can become SG PR depends on SG Govt ba😂 I worked in China before coming to SG - that's why it's actually been really a long time I have spent more than 2 weeks in HK (cries)
I'm Dashky from Penang, Malaysia and around 3 years ago I had stroke. Now I'm able to walk. But right hand still can't move much, right leg got 50% recovered. Now TH-cam is my home. 👍😊
Interesting posts from the 9 of you, seen 3 so far. The world is a smaller place now with the ease of travel, at least before covid, and a 4 hour flight is really easy and used to be quite economical. I spent 70% of my time each year operating out of HK office the last 10 years. Sg & HK have many similarities, so I find it easy to adapt since I speak Cantonese quite well (HK type, not our Sg/Msia type). Each city has its own special characteristics and if you go with an open mind, you will learn to appreciate them. Let's hope the world can contain the covid virus soon so that when the craving comes, we can pop back into HK to 饮茶同吹水!
I am Korean in Singapore. I don't miss Seoul but miss Hong Kong, especially Wanton Noodle, shops in Causeway Bay, the night view of HK Island in TST and Tai O town. Of course, I want to forget HK apartment like "cage" and "living with coakroach" hahaha. Cheers your life in Singapore, the Heaven!

Completely agreed about the less stressed part, in that it only applies if you're from a similarly stressful country/territory. Coming from Norway, Singapore is a whole lot more stressful for me. The work/school life schedule that people have in Singapore is unlike anything you'd see in Norway.
Nice video. Positive attitude. 1. Singapore is a very safe place to live. 2. It’s very, very green, something, sometimes we take for granted. 3. Transportation is very efficient. 4. Over 90% people own their own home. 5. All the above and more are due to a ‘clean’ government. p.s. Wonder why HK don’t ‘cut’ their many hills and reclaim their shoreline. In that way they will have 2 extra land ‘overnight’. That will solve their housing problems, doesn’t it?

就在近日，慈善组织乐施会（Oxfam）根据各国政府在处理贫富差距上的作为，做出了全球157国的排名。垫底的是157名的尼日利亚，印度排名147，让人感到惊讶的是，新加坡竟是第149名，位列倒数！😱😱😱
习惯在各种排行榜上当“尖子生”的新加坡这次却在倒数第九名，最大的原因是新加坡的“有害的税收竞争”，将最高收入者的入税顶限税率维持在22%这一非常低的水平，给予富人很大的避税以及逃税的空间。
富人所爱的“避税天堂”如今听起来却如此讽刺！此外，新加坡没有普遍意义的“最低工资”，在劳工权利这方面表现得也很糟糕。新加坡是一个经济飞速发展和包容度极高的国家，万万没想到，在伟大的经济奇迹的背后，却是不断加深的财富鸿沟。穷人饥寒交迫、穷困潦倒甚至露宿街头，而富人纸醉金迷，坐拥巨额财富。
穷人的地狱
早在几年前，新加坡在获得全球最宜居城市的同时，又多次蝉联全球生活成本最高的国家。
虽然新加坡薪资不低，但是由于生活成本过重，让很多人辛辛苦苦忙碌了一辈子，却几乎攒不下什么钱。于是那些已经下岗的新加坡老人们，为了维持生计，不得不顶着高龄外出打工谋生。每天7点多，新加坡晨光熹微，很多人才刚刚起床洗漱。而此时此刻，在新加坡各地的食阁中，许多身着制服的老人已经在忙碌了。他们佝偻著本就矮小的身子，或推著清洁车，或拿着破抹布，缓缓地清理著一桌桌的残羹剩饭。时不时地听到有人大喊：“这边擦一下！”他们就唯唯诺诺地走过去，专注地用爬满褶皱的苍老的手在油腻的桌面上擦拭。
不止在餐厅食阁，商场路边，经常看见一些老人在辛苦地工作。他们大部分都年逾花甲，甚至已达七十古稀之年。
而离开食阁，你会发现在开计程车的司机中，经常能看到白发苍苍的老人。他们总是面露和善的微笑，你坐他们的车，他们会热情地跟你聊天，完全不会流露出生活的辛酸苦楚，但你可以辨识出他们苍老的脸上带着一丝对生活的疲惫。这些老人司机，总是要工作到深夜。年纪大了，累到胳膊和腿都麻木了，但这么辛苦劳作，只是为了多赚一点钱……
这要是搁中国，他们的子女肯定要被人戳著脊梁骂。但这样的光景，新加坡每天都在发生。目光转移，来到繁华的街道上，地铁站内，常常可以看见步履蹒跚，甚至坐着轮椅卖纸巾的老人。他们颤颤巍巍地将手伸向你，微笑着跟你说“早上好”，希望你可以买几包他们的纸巾。而当你摆摆手说不需要，然后快步离去的时候，你可能看不见身后他们可怜无助的神情，令人心酸。
一天时间过得很快，暮色也笼罩整个新加坡。食阁、街边的老人，总算结束一整天的劳作，拖着疲惫的步伐回家，此刻他们只想睡个好觉。而殊不知，睡个好觉，对于在新加坡很多无家可归的人来说，也是一种奢侈的梦想。在立交桥下或者公园里，或是组屋楼下的空地上，常能看到流浪者在这里休息，而公园里的长椅就是他们最惬意的床。
但是，近几年新加坡逐渐推广安装“防流浪汉椅”，一种在位置中间安装扶手的长椅，这些流浪汉连最后的“家”都没了……
相较而言，靠近樟宜机场的流浪者就“幸运”得多了。

Completely agreed about the less stressed part, in that it only applies if you're from a similarly stressful country/territory. Coming from Norway, Singapore is a whole lot more stressful for me. The work/school life schedule that people have in Singapore is unlike anything you'd see in Norway.

Nice video. Positive attitude.
1. Singapore is a very safe place to live.
2. It’s very, very green, something, sometimes we take for granted.
3. Transportation is very efficient.
4. Over 90% people own their own home.
5. All the above and more are due to a ‘clean’ government.
p.s. Wonder why HK don’t ‘cut’ their many hills and reclaim their shoreline.
In that way they will have 2 extra land ‘overnight’. That will solve their housing problems, doesn’t it?

下雨天也🉑以去OTH 跑步，不怕被淋湿。。。

下雨的时候跑大圈还是会淋到雨 , 还有一点就是起点与终点是同个地方 , 那里空气不怎流通 , 跑完后还是走去开放式花园那里休息较好 。
Try using Bidek spray hose instead of toilet paper. It is more hygienic and use less paper.
