    You can cut and re-weld a 90degree fitting on the valve cover so it looks better

    An elbow joint might work with the breather hose instead of recessing the firewall

    U guys forgot there are 2 crank vent/breathers. Second one is on the water pump housing and has a 1 way valve. This is where most vapor comes from. Even have a look inside if u end up re sealing the water pump housing on, u can see how much oil vapor build up there.

    The "drain on/off switch" is called a petcock, hence the name of the kit ;-)

    Guys, I seriously cannot wait to see how this thing turns out with the K20. I think once you add some boost it's going to be alot of fun. Put a good turbo kit on it and put it in the hands of Sasha and it's not only going to be crazy powerful, but it's also going to be so much more reliable than the old SR20. Don't get me wrong, I am NOT knocking on Nissan, or the SR20DET, but from everything that I've seen from multiple sources, the SR20 is a notoriously unreliable powerplant once it is modified beyond 300 whp in stock form. I made 408 whp on a bone stock internal B18B1 (94-01 Acura Integra LS/RS/GS non-VTEC) with ARP rod and head studs, BC stage 2 turbo cams, BC dual valve springs with titanium retainers, and a Skunk 2 intake manifold and 70mm throttle body, 6063 eBay turbo that lasted for 26,000 miles and still has hardly any shaftplay, on 15 psi of boost in my 97 Civic coupe. I've built 4g63t Mitsubishi engines, I've built multiple Nissan engines (including SRs and RBs), I've built multiple Honda engines, I've built small block Chevy engines, I've built Ford small blocks, and Ive built big block Chrysler engines, but I have yet to find an engine that is as easy to build and as easy to make power with as a Honda 4 cylinder. The old V8s are alot of fun, but the 4 cylinder and turbocharging is the technology of the future as well as the past. My car is fully built now and just made a very conservative 508 whp on 14 psi so far.

    While not a problem on a turbo engine inlet manifolds that are too cold can cause issues with rough running and poor idle. This is why there are often water jackets on intakes and hot air hoses from the exhaust manifolds to the air box.

    so i wanted to ask, why did you use a "heater hose" thats designed for water when there is going to be oil vapor and oil going into it. wouldnt it degrade the pipe rapidly?

    You should get a big white board or something and have all the project to do lists written on it that can be marked off at the end of an episode as a sort of a recap of what was done as well as make it easier to visualize project progress for the audience especially while more than one project is going on at once.

    Try a plastic 90' elbow for the breather if room or better weld an aluminium 90' elbow on the rocker, will save that nasty bend in the hose, scuttle bashing and any rubbing.

    The 240 is coming along. Great job guys. If the valve cover is aluminum. Wouldn't it be best to weld a bung on then run a 90 fitting off? Erything else is top notch.

    As much as you guys use AN fitting I’m kinda shock you guys don’t keep them in stock. While I understand the cost can add up fast you guys go through them just as fast. If you did this you can always put some of them the unused ones up for sale here and there (or hook up some of your fans cough, cough, wink, wink). Anyway keep up the great job.

    • @samoksner
      @samoksner 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Brandon Vaillancourt how would they know where to drill, cut and hammer on the firewall before mocking it up? They have to get to 95% complete in order to go back and make cosmetic things right all at once at the end. What if they painted the bay but need to relocate the catch can or something?

    80% of the immune system is located in the gut, since I took two courses of probiotics and removed all the acid forming food from my diet (sugar, grains, processed carbs, wheat and gluten) I haven't been sick in over ten years.
    Do you guys use or have you heard of using fully synthetic two stroke oil/fuel at a ratio of around 200/1 to help lubricate the upper cylinder and cushion and help seal the valves? I've used upper cylinder lubricant on my Nissan 2l petrol since I got it 15 years ago, she's on 432,000ks and runs better than when I got her even though I need to rebuild the carb and replace the 8 spark plugs again, I've only done it once in 15years..

    Pretty sure you guys put the catch can in the wrong spot. It should go between the PCV and the plenum, not the valve cover and the intake tube. That would actually be the fresh air inlet. Hopefully you see this!

    • @EpimethiusInPerpituity
      @EpimethiusInPerpituity 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jake u are halfway right they are both part of the pcv system and you should have 2 catch cans one between the pcv valve and the intake, the other between the valve cover and the intake. One is for when the system has positive pressure and the other when it has negative pressure.

    • @EpimethiusInPerpituity
      @EpimethiusInPerpituity 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The k motors have a catch can I believe built into the pcv valve side so you need the catch can for the other half
