Get an Accusump to resolve the oil pressure while cornering and preserve that engine. If I recall the low-pressure situation was just a few seconds, accusump would more than cover that and everyone can buy one unlike a custom pan etc.
It's cool you guys want to be different, but you could have done a pretty thorough rebuild on the SR and no need for custom mounts, custom oil pan, BMW transmission. If you wanted to get fancy you could have built the SR with a SR20VE head, and maybe sent the block over to Mazworx or Jim Wolf to bore it out for larger than 2.0L displacement.
I have a 240Z... I've always thought about putting a K24 in it. I'd really like to see what you guys need to do to the stock oil pan far as modifications to keep oil pressure up.
Instead of boosting it you could build it and keep it NA. 300whp isn't hard to achieve with a 12.5:1 piston/rod combo, valvetrain and cams on pump gas. The S2000 IM may be alittle restrictive but a ported RBC could take care of that. It would be super responsive out of corners and always have power when needed and the best part of all, even more different than it already is.
like 4-8k is a lot.. but not that much for NA standards (i have done pairing 7mgte engine(came with bottom end build, cost me $680) with zf S5D 320Z( got it with m52b25 and half of e39 for $200) and self made engine to gearbox adapter cost me $20, machining m40 flywheel to fit combo cost another $20, hy55 VGT turbo(900hp ready turbo, same as hx55) from truck cost me $250.. so it is possible to go lot cheaper with swaping an engine)
