2:03 Chamberlain: The calling of the blood. Yes, I understand. I totally, absolutely, completely, positively understand! This is my God-given destiny!!!!!!!!!
James Brown is one of only 7 people who appeared in both original and this movie, the others being Dan Aakroyd, Kathleen Freeman, Frank Oz, Steve Larence, Aretha Franklin and Jeff Morris.
Haha absolutely! I borned in 2002 so i grew up with both movies at the same time but always liked (and now understand why) the first movie more. But this scene always catches me :D
This film was as good as it could be and I hoped for, given time, age, regs (eg H&S). Indeed, I thought it deserved to do better on the mass market. The music ma, the music! I gave the original 9/10 (I'm a tough customer, never given more than 9.5) and this one a 7 or 8. Mostly for the music of course, but -1 pt for that awful use of 634-5789. Wasted several influential talents on that one.
Blues Bros turned all the gospel tunes to jump blues. I aint gonna lie, jump blues is gospel from a sinner side seekin' hope and life. I ain't religious, i just see it what it is. They did too.
I've seen this many times and still find it hard to believe that the Blues brothers can drive around and "This car. This stupid car," and not crease or tarnish their perfectly pressed suits. Have no trouble believing that the late, great James Brown can preach even the most hardened law enforcement officer to the light though. It's all about feasability, you see.
I still love it when 'The Beloved' Reverend Cleophus James enters the chat!
I was one of the only people laughing my ass off at this scene in the theatre. I still love watching this movie!

RIP James brown and they many other actors in 1980 and 2000 Amen
BB2000 was actually released in 1998.
Elwood watching Chamberlain rise into the air, must have been giving him flashbacks to the first film.
Buster , the little kid, nailed his role in this movie. ✌️

However, just like all others except Aakroyd, Brown's role in this movie was alot smaller then in the original movie.
Im not mad at all how they were doing the stanky leg in church 😂😂😂 one of my absolute fav movies!❤❤ its better than the first Blues Brothers to me.

Nothing can beat the first movie. But that scene is so funny that I though "Damn, Blues Brother's Magic is not down"
