I won these exact units from Zeos' yard sale and I am in love with them! They are smooth and beautiful. I'm using them on stands next to my desk and they work perfectly with this setup. Powered by a marantz pm6005 with a mobo optical input from my pc. Plenty of power and I never need to go above 40% volume. Decent bass and amazing highs, never fatuiging. Couldn't be happier! Thanks Zeos!

My BR02's just arrived, they are now my computer speakers in a very near-field application. I bought them based on this review, and Z's reviews on the other Triangles. They are sensational and magical, and that doesn't even consider the price point. If you are on the fence on these, you won't regret it for one second!

Enough with done tweeters. Back to ribbon, or better say air motion transformer (AMT). I highly, HIGHLY, recommend you buy, listen, review and keep a pair of HEDD monitors. You just gotta try them. I had the Adam T7V + T10S (so 2.1), tryed the Adam A7X, then tryed the HEDD type 07 and these bad bad boys are the shit. They don't need any sub, it even exceeds the T10s if you crank it up. They are so clean and the AMT is like the next level of Adam's X-ART. So please, i encourage you to think about reviewing type 07, or at least type 05, if not type 20, for all those watching. Thank you!!!

@Z Reviews As somebody whose been subscribed for quite a while, I think you reviewing higher priced speakers is great as long as you still cover gear that fits every budget. Spending time listening to gear that's more than you can afford is a chance to identify what you feel is your idea of perfection, and then figuring out what gear that is in your budget comes closest to it!

I own Triangle Plaisir ZETA small bookshelves. The Zeta are fantastic and the Boreas should be significantly better. My experience, is that the Kef Q series may be a bit more revealing but Triangle Zetas more musical, less beamy, preferred by me. The Boreas should be a significant step up from the Zetas, as well as the Kefs. I prefer the budget Triangle models to Focal budget, more natural and focused. But I have yet to find any speaker that can outright beat my Focal 807Ws, now discontinued. If I didn't have these Focals, I would definitely have the Boreas in my top pick for under a grand speakers. Note the Kef LS50s sell for under a grand during the holidays but they wouldn't be my choice to replace the Focals. This only applies to the W drivers and pre-Poron Tweeter. I don't care as much for the V series drivers and have not heard the flax or slate versions.
The French make great speakers. I'm thinking the Boreas are probably the speaker to beat at even double the US price. More expensive speakers "may" be more refined, more detailed and better imaging, low end, etc., but may also still not beat them in all categories. Boreas are reportedly fun to listen to and can play all kinds of music. Triangle Boreas, the new budget king which may be all you ever need in a speaker...unless you have an unlimited budget. The Boreas are known to play well with less expensive gear as well but will shine with better quality amps, sources.
Fan of Focals, Triangles, less so Kefs, Wharfedales or B&Ws. I do like Quads though.
Would love to hear one someday. Note, these paper drivers aren't expected to hold up as well in humid, damp conditions as other driver material over the long term.

Awesome review. if using these just for Bluetooth, streaming via Android, do I simply just pair with a smsl da8s?
Or Do I need to buy more hardware such as a DAC and another pre-amp?
Also, I'll just add here the upcoming klipsch the fives might turn out to be a good alternative...both in sound and in the looks department.

Fidelity tested the BR03 not long ago, he liked those a lot.
BTW in France the BR02 cost 300euros which is about 330usd and the BR03 400euros which is 450usd, super affordable.

The question is do they work as Dipol Rear speakers ? Since they get sold in Set along with the Center and you can choose between the Front 07, 08 or 09
Worried I should go for real Dipols instead, but then I would have to mix brands and that could cause inconsistencys.

I bought my first set of Triangles in 2003 and had to order them from a dealer then. It would be nice if they had better distribution over here in the states but I wouldn't hold your breath lol. I purchased the Bro3's from Adorama and love em. They're livelier like the Klipsch rp160's or 600m's but are more refined by far. They won't play rock concert levels like the Klipsch will though. They come close but the Klipsch have more kick when played loud. The Borea Bro3's are wine - Klipsch to 160's are the beer

Hey guys, so I've had it for about a month now, and I feel the sound from the triangles is just as Z describes. I am a BIG fan, I have been searching for a system for my living room that has the ability to blend into the background but still sound great. I picked them up in white, the grill is light grey. System sounds great for what it is! It's not a huge rock system that rocks the house, but sounds great at low to mid volume levels. There is a softness to the sound, but it is also highly detailed at the same time. The amplifier is EASY to setup. It's not the most powerful, but they pair well. IMO when they are paired with a small REL subwoofer it makes the system complete. I find myself listening to more music now than ever before, and even more than my dedicated hifi rig.

Skipping a few trucks I started to play run the jewels don't remember exactly what song but I remember I had low in. The reason for that was to see if the port on the back made any noise surprisingly it hardly made any at all for as hard as we were pushing them.

Has anyone auditioned or have any experience with the Triangle Titus ? How would they differ given the tweeters, do Titus is more airy/ bright on the highs ? Also anyone got any experience with M Audio Silver 100 ? Im vexed up between this 3 speakers for 50%music 50%movies HT. Its so hard.. this Triangles all i can say they are so fast, precise, and those upper/ lower mids are pure sex, i think they would do better for movies and music then Silver 100 but i cant get a grip on how do Silver 100 really feel like, sound signature wise.

Are these better than q acoustics ? Like 3020 ?

    • @bvaljalo
      @bvaljalo 4 ปีที่แล้ว

I've not heard the Triangles but I have heard the 3020's. They have amazing build quality, very nice and solid. I would describe the sound as very accurate, esp. for the price point ... but ultimately I found them a bit boring to listen to. If you want a relatively 'flat' experience, I would say they're good for that. I replaced them with ML LX16's (aka Motion 15's) when they were being blown out for cheap earlier this year ... Granted at regular prices, they're considerably more expensive than 3020's, but I much prefer the Logan's, personally. Thinking of getting the Bro-3's though, since seemingly everyone is singing their praises.
