Regardless of its segment. For a sub RM100k car, this is really a good buy. Value for money. And i don’t understand why Malaysians concern so much about car’s segment? I mean let us be realistic, if let say, you can buy a brand new Mercedes A class sedan at 130k. would you consider a brand new civic even if its priced at RM60k. Right?
This segment thing proton started the fiasco, thinking that it makes people think they are getting a bigger car for a smaller class vehicle price and it clearly backfired and confused a lot of people specially those who are on the fence..but I do see a lot on the road already meaning actual buyers don't give a rat about which class it sits in!
For me the ride and handling for the S70 is relatively good and easy as well as comfort and not to 'hard' I would say. For comparison, my old Persona is more fun and responsive compared to the S70 in terms of road feedback and corner steering but comfort and maneuverability I would choose S70 for its light and precise steering. Don't get me wrong, I drove Saga/Persona/Ativa/HRV before I bought the S70. I could confirm that in terms of handling: S70>Persona>HRV>SAGA>Ativa.
You are a great presenter! I have received my S70 FS and I find myself to agree with everything you said. For the value, its definitely worth the money! Just praying everyday that Apple Carplay and Android Auto comes sooner rather than later!
16:31 right? I was weirded out by the seating position, lack of thigh support adjustment, and frustrated with how the steering wheel can’t be adjusted low enough

please..Aiman (Malaysian Motoring) should collab with Ariff (Autobuzz)…they both have the same serious..🥳😘🤙🏻.. Aside, when we can have award for best presenter..?..
PROTON said that AACP will be available in "upcoming models" set to debut later this year. They have also clarified that current models don't have AACP due to a hardware issue. It is unclear if the hardware issue has been resolved in time for X90 and S70 (and therefore allowing them to receive AACP via an OTA update), or if X90 and S70 will have to receive product updates later.
S70 a C segment sedan? Hardly right looking at its dimensions. Just because Proton said S70 is a C segment, you guys just bought their marketing pitch with no questions asked. Humm... I wonder why? To the general public with comon sense, Corolla and Civic is not under threat from S70 me thinks, maybe the B segment City and Vios are.
Finally a worthy reporter who spit facts instead of talking nonsense. I like this guy.
He's good, he's really good....."Top Gun Maverick".
talking nonsense like who?
He is not a Matt Watson wannabe. Original as original can be for a car reviewer. Love his style nonetheless.
Your english and the presentation is great bro..

I'm more concerned about Proton after sales after owning a few of their cars in the past. Still not improving, even under Geely.
Old habit die hard. @sputnikfreshie3601
Best Malaysian English speaker so far.. 😍

Pros and cons.....definitely not a perfect car, perfect car doesn't exist. But no doubt PROTON is stepping up their game Big Big Time
Excellent review and fair review! Well done!
This guy presentation is lightyears better than the Hafriz Shah from the other car site
Wow this was so well articulated and put together. The intonation and inflections of the presenter was superb. Well done!
top notch journalism & presenting. and thanks for the critique of the car
Liked the video before watching 🫡
cukup best, waiting for the AA & ACP to be add in and will buy this to support the growth of Proton engineering 🥳.
Impeccable English

S70 is a good enough car
I am hoping there'll be proton S50 hot hatch

Didnt proton say there will be AA and ACP available for the S70/X90 by middle of the year??

Frankly speaking..exterior damn old school looking..lol
bolehh laa padan dengan harga dia...nak best corolla altis la
This review resulted in me tak jadi beli..huhu
Hate this car bcoz of c segment bullshitting.
Proton just want to sell at japanese b segment price.
C segment with torsion beam ?
The Mazda 3 also uses a torsion beam rear suspension.

Seconded. If they said it is B segment, current price is not the cheapest anymore 🤣
A B-segment wheelbase with a C-segment width... As far as I noticed, S70's width is significantly larger then Vios and city?
the presenter speak good english but he needs to work out little bit harder
for the bloated tummy LOL
