- The Proton S70 has been making waves in the market ever since it was launched towards the end of 2023. There has even been whispers about some flaws. So we took it for an extensive drive and this is what we think of the Proton S70, and we include some stuff that we don't quite like.

The civic and corolla are all now C+ segment. Like Mazda 3 and Nissan Sylphy.
S70 is what the civic and corolla was 20 years ago.
Which also what was the Waja and later the Persona (all at 2600mm wheelbase).
C+ segment means wheelbase of around 2700mm which make a car more spacious.
We find it difficult to believe this is a C-segment car.
@@PistonMalaysia yes, especially the model it was based on only has a NA 1.5 engine.
However on paper accept the fact that dimensions are actually C segment (even though the B+ city almera and vios are all growing the wheelbase as long as 2700mm. 20 years ago city and vios wheelbase were 2550mm).
We al lhave to admit that cars grew in size over the decades (look at lancers from the 90s, the 2000 and 2010, the corolla from 90s until now).
With the body size and engine power its hard to market S70 as B segment car since Proton has the Persona there (as smaller B, not B+).
If I'm not mistaken, you can pull quick shortcuts menu from the top, and just choose the drive mode. *2 Steps

That why i said many car reviewers doesnt really do their homework before review the car.
Yes you can do that too. Point is that it still requires you to take your eyes off the road. A button is simple and easy to execute.
@@PistonMalaysia for me it's still okay cuz still same eye level and see front rather than you need to look at gear console to see which button to push to change mode, more over the change mode button shape the same as any other button there like those in x50.
just the back extended spoiler (for flagship x) are looks a bit 'double’ layer, behind the boot.
I wish proton put the button fuel filler cap next to the opening boot button easy for not reaching Raba dekat bawah....hahaha...
U can actually turn off eco mode for aircond while driving eco mode...satu lagi bagi saya annoying cup holder depan letak tin 100 plus kacau sbb tak cukup deep mcm belakang dia...itu jela aku punya complain...
during media demo session was test against City and vios which were B segment that why sure win
they are similarly price, so understandably thats why they choose City and Vios
if the legroom at the back very small, maybe perodua myvi is bigger?

Maybe Myvi feels bigger because the thigh support is shorter. So for a long journey, tall guy might feels a bit sore around the thigh

@@PistonMalaysia Good content and like what you are doing, but this vid needed a better mic. Too much car noise coming through and it makes it difficult and tiring to listen to. BGM volume needs to be tuned down. Need to speak faster and more succinct and use speed cut edits more to make it flow faster. Too much repetition of same topic, need to move on quicker. But keep on going guys, I know you will improve.
Sad to live as a tall guy in this cruel world. Everything is expensive just to be comfortable
If they put S70 in B segment, they have to sell it below 80k 😌

There is Persona at the B segment. Proton had learnt its mistakes not to have so many models in 1 segment. Remember in 2007 proton had waja, gen2 and persona killing each other sales? And later inspira joined too?
one thing i noticed about proton owners is majority of them like to compare their car to other cars brand hahaha

lebih kurang je saya pakai...sebelum ni saya guna City GM6 engine 1.5 single cam...setiap minggu isi Petrol rm60-65....sekarang pakai s70 rm70....g kerja balik kerja satu hari 80km siap jammed di rnr sungai buloh balik pun sama...pastu sangkut sikit kat Depan Pusrawi...balik lalu DUKE...
Baru ni balik RAYA rm150 habis utk 1000km perjalanan...okay je...nak jimat pakai AXIA DNGA...itu paling jimat....

Bad car have 83 probllem
Just one unit have that 83 problem. Most likely a lemon car. Every manufacturer will be having this kind of issue. But as long as it is not Proton, so it is ok

Stenderd laa enjin dct. Nk jimat pakai je laa cvt.
Mmg hakikat dct lagi responsice drpd cvt. So pegi laa hidup dgn cvt.
Beza lebih 50k + . Jimat 50k+ dan boleh cover duit minyak sampai mampos.. 😂 . Kalau FE memang laju sikit, tapi FC? 😂😂😂
