This sound is terrifying because when you hear it you know that you are most likely going to die. It's like an alarm telling you that you're about to die
In modern times, you'll have 10 minutes to get out of the way of a missile with a 15 mile radius. If you know where the impact will be, the fastest you'll have to get out is 90 mph, which most cars can manage, even off-road. Alternatively, you'll have 10 minutes to grab some supplies and duck into the nearest bunker.
Sad thing is if a real siren happens to sound, you'll probably think it's your alarm if you're too lazy to get up after being used to waking up to a siren so much time
Specially for those in France and Italy, they are already facing full time lockdown and part time curfew. If the winter comes in 2020, they'll feel the same just like this siren music

I remember one summer day my Grandma and Grandpa and neighbor was outside talking to these three salespersons from AT&T when a storm rolled in. They asked if they could stick around just in case it got bad which of course they were allowed and my grandparents tried to invite them to come inside because the temperature suddenly dropped with the storm but they couldn't unless they got their manager's permission who they were trying to call. That was until the tornado alarms went off and my grandpa yelled at them to come inside and to get into the basement. I had our cat who was holding onto me for dear life. Nothing bad happened thankfully.
