Most likely the difference is that Coldplay asked them to be there while JLo and Shakira were both contacted to do the show together. It may look like the same thing to an outsider, but it isn't. It's like saying that neither one of them was good enough to do the show alone.

Agreed! I remember that I loved it when it was performed, but folks never seem to talk about it much looking back. I think it truly withstands the test of time and actually improves with repeat viewings. It's a halftime show filled with joy and happiness.

I've seen them in June, and is was breathtaking. I was so happy when I got the change to see them again next year! Can't wait for another incredible concert.
What makes Coldplay so incredible is that they really do put on A SHOW. They make their performances so inclusive with the audience and have so much going to put on such an awesome performance.

I performed there! I was a kid with a cello on thaz stage! Btw Coldplay was the best ! All the members were so sweet and down to earth. They bought us food trucks and would sit and eat with us during rehearsals. We got to watch Beyonce and Bruno Mars rehearse and got to hear Formation before it was released to the public ❤🎉 One of my favorite life experiences at 16 😁
Coldplay has that amazing, positive energy about them and their performances, Bruno has the old-school type of entertainment and is such a polished performed, Beyoncé is pure power, showmanship and has that Michael Jackson vibe. You cannot get better than this, except if you bring Gaga in this as well.

We have to give this one to Coldplay. They put up a brilliant show. They made it so inclusive and everyone got to share the spotlight. They invited the best performers- Beyoncé and Bruno, while also giving out the message of BLM. The whole show just radiates such wholesome positive energy. The moment where the clocks starts playing and they show flashbacks, almost have me crying. And the whole Up & Up ending and the message at the end just steals the show. One of the best halftime shows, without doubt.

I performed there! I was a kid with a cello on thaz stage! Btw Coldplay was the best ! All the members were so sweet and down to earth. They bought us food trucks and would sit and eat with us during rehearsals. We got to watch Beyonce and Bruno Mars rehearse and got to hear Formation before it was released to the public ❤🎉

Coldplay has that amazing, positive energy about them and their performances, Bruno has the old-school type of entertainment and is such a polished performed, Beyoncé is pure power, showmanship and has that Michael Jackson vibe. You cannot get better than this, except if you bring Gaga in this as well.
Eh, Gaga's ok, but not that good! How I rate all the halftime shows since 200 is this way, 2000-2010 were great, 2011-2015 were ok, and 2019 sucked, but 2002 (U2) and 2016 (this one) were my absolute favorites! Didn't really watch the other ones, besides MJ!

We have to give this one to Coldplay. They put up a brilliant show. They made it so inclusive and everyone got to share the spotlight. They invited the best performers- Beyoncé and Bruno, while also giving out the message of BLM. The whole show just radiates such wholesome positive energy. The moment where the clocks starts playing and they show flashbacks, almost have me crying. And the whole Up & Up ending and the message at the end just steals the show. One of the best halftime shows, without doubt.
