After Corona we need such a concert again, when everyone come together and celebrate in love, freedom and remembrance.
True
Yeah like in five years
TRUE
Go to church first.
And thats how the second wave begin
The blonde girl with color spots on her face, just about to break into tears... That was a beautiful shot.

TheTavoss nope
TheTavoss she's my daughter xx
TheTavoss no it wasnt 😂
Donna ford is my mom and I am the girl in the video
I don’t think any other singer could have done this song as much justice as Chris Martin; just beautiful
Noel Ghalager could
he give more than a justice and Arianna was just like barbie their standing 😆
twenty one pilots have also sung this song
oasis fans 😊
@@allesonbaygan9330 They were singing to her what do you expect?
After 3 years, and it is still the best cover of "Don't Look Back in Anger".
Fr I remember watching this on the tele live and I still watch this video a few times a year
Wasnt this after the kids got bombed?
And what's wrong with being angry about that?
Absolut ❤
@@daftwodthey mean instead of looking back at it, being angry, show love and mourning instead

We should be very angry because it could have easily been prevented.
*"Don't Look Back In Anger" by OASIS isn't just a SONG, it's an ANTHEM.*

"her soul slides away" is an amazing phrase. I can see it happening. It doesn't slip, it doesn't fade, it slides, eluding her grasp.

William Glen despite the fake J's, yes. Lol

He really stopped people caring about the bombed children.
What a legend.
Feb 2022 and its still giving me goosebumps everytime i hear this song live. Oasis songs ages like wine...
It was incredible live
Heard it in the Mander Centre in Wolverhampton on a break from College Started to sing it no one else did probably because the PA was awful. Five Years Tommorrow since it happened
feb 2023 and its still amazing!

July 2023 and it still give us goosebumps
This entire concert was one of the most beautiful moments in music history. Tragedy brings people together, and this was another example of that. I remember watching this on the BBC at the time, like millions of others. Even now, an anthem like Don’t Look Back in Anger is so powerful, and that’s why it was chosen 🐝❤️
Dont look back in anger became very closely associated because the people didnt want to look back in anger
@@mbradfield53 They shoud be angry though.
At MC
Chris Martin can officially unite a whole city or even a whole country and bring them together. What a man
MR Turtle right chris is a greatest human and singer
Danny Morrissey You call him a cunt but could you do what he has done? Could you unite all of Manchester in a few hours? I don think so mate
Danny Morrissey It's ironic seeing comments like yours on a video like this
Danny Morrissey Coldplay are amazing, and Chris Martin is one of the most humblest men on earth
He even brought me from Singapore. Be strong Manchester!
4:04 JUST WOW
Liverpool19851 what do yu mean the shape of the stage or the PPL singing?
Bobek The Gracz Good onr.
The moments like those are the ones that hit me
Nothing more beautiful than thousands of people singing together. Loved it!
GOOSEBUMPS
It's August 2022 but I still cry to this. Pure LOVE from Coldplay.
Me too. What a city
Watching this 5 years later still makes me cry 🥺😢😭🐝
RIP 22 angels 😭🐝
It makes me sick to even think about it...

Excellent observation on your part. You're right; Buckland was astute enough to look at Martin at that time, anticipating that he might want to encourage a stronger audience sing-along right then with less guitar.
Michael Rawlins
M
and he joins back in in the exact moment
or
they had the lyrics on screen and they knew they wanted the audience to sing beforehand the concert started
Yes it's clear the lyrics were projected on the big screen. And yes they may well have discussed when the sing-along would happen. They point is, Buckland was enough of a pro to look over at Martin at the right time. And Martin was keen enough to give him the gesture, just to be sure.
Chris' voice is so powerful and wonderful!

all Coldplay have ever done is spread love and positivity
It makes me question the people who REALLY hate on them all the time.
Jack and made great music😅
They are not my all time favorite but Jack, you're very right. I think sometimes they catch hell for that and I guess that's a bit of a shame. Rock is so much more powerful live than the karaoke that some of the more pop-centric acts did for this concert. It just feels a lot more real when it is.
Jack THERE BRILLIANT!!!
Jack yeah I agree and that is why they are one of my favourite bands.
Chris martin is different. We are lucky to see him alive in our time
And Jonny, dont forget mah boy Jonny!

[Verse 1]
Slip inside the eye of your mind
Don't you know you might find
A better place to play?
You said that you'd never been
But all the things that you've seen
They slowly fade away
[Pre-Chorus]
So I start a revolution from my bed
Cause you said the brains I had went to my head
Step outside, summertime's in bloom
Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face
Cause you ain't ever gonna burn my heart out
[Chorus]
And so, Sally can wait
She knows it's too late as we're walking on by
Her soul slides away
But don't look back in anger
I heard you say
[Verse 2]
Take me to the place where you go
Where nobody knows if it's night or day
Please don't put your life in the hands
Of a rock'n'roll band
Who'll throw it all away
[Pre-Chorus]
I'm gonna start a revolution from my bed
Cause you said the brains I had went to my head
Step outside, the summertime's in bloom
Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face
Cause you ain't ever gonna burn my heart out
[Chorus]
And so, Sally can wait
She knows it's too late as she's walking on by
My soul slides away
But don't look back in anger
I heard you say
[Chorus]
So, Sally can wait
She knows it's too late as we're walking on by
Her soul slides away
But don't look back in anger
I heard you say
So, Sally can wait
She knows it's too late as she's walking on by
My soul slides away
But don't look back in anger
Don't look back in anger
I heard you say
[Outro]
At least not today
We know the words. Why would you write them down you little sad weirdo

he's out of tune so many times, lost his tempo a few more. nice try though
I want to see you do better please Giorgos Ntoufas.
I want to see myself do better as well! Thank you for sharing a common goal! Never claimed to be better (in singing) than Chris Martin. He's a public figure by choice and he gets criticized for that. He really is not that talented, that's objective but I also said "nice try though" :)
Giorgos Ntoufas not that talented. I hope you know this concert was organized in 24 hours. He didn't write that song and has likely never sung it before. Nice try though. Listen to some real Coldplay music then come back
How can you not put Jonny Buckland in the title when he's playing such a gorgeous solo?
oh god, indeed
Yeah, you got that right!
I agree. Ariana didn't do anything except standing there and her name's in the title. Jonny played those beautiful guitar riffs and yet he's not mentioned in the title. wtf
Eugene J Ariana was in the title because it was her night. The people died at her show so this was her way of handling it. She did great all throughout the show so if she didn't necessarily put all her energy into this one song then I forgive her. Johnny played the solo the exact way as the original recording, nothing impressive about that. If anything I think the Manchester crowd made this performance amazing. Nothing beats singing Oasis with just about the entirety of Manchester singing along.
Well, probably because he didnt write the solo...
Amo vocês dois, meus lindos!! Sou fã de carteirinhaaa!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
What a love, tears in the eyes hearing the public singing...
This performance by Coldplay has done nothing but increased my respect for them. Greatest artists ever.
Oops. I think you meant to say that this performance only increases your respect for the greatest band ever (Oasis) whose song Coldplay covered. But Coldplay is certainly in the top 20:)
Kewal Mehta agreed! The best band ever
that's the right one
sorry but saying Coldplay are the greatest artists ever is an insult
Oasis > Coldplay. Easily.
The thing I love most about the concept of this concert was that it's such a Mancunian way of honoring a tradgedy - 'you've tried to disrupte our way of life, so we're gonna have a party' - it's more powerful than any number of minute silences, national anthems or speeches could have ever been in my opinion!
The New Breed Well said.
The New Breed when I watch this I feel so proud to be mancunian...
"Nero fiddled while Rome burned".
I don't find it powerful at all. Quite frankly, it's a pathetic and sad indictment of a once proud people who have descended into decadence and nihilism, and are terrified to assert themselves even in the face of existential danger.
What about the next time they 'distrupt' our way of life, will we have another party then too? Or how about the time after that, or the time after that? How many parties do you need to have before you wake up and realise we are at war and actually need to do something about it?
Massive respect to Ariana and her team for putting it together
"Lets fight bombs with parties". Great idea, lemmings.
Still makes me cry, especially when I'm hurt like I am now....
I had lost one of my aunt in breast cancer few years ago, aunt wherever you are RIP. I love you. More power to your daughter..❤
For those hating on Ariana in the comment section, please read this:
On May 22, 2017 suicide bomber Salman Abedi killed 22 people at an Ariana Grande concert.
On May 25, three days later, a minute's silence was held in St Ann's square in memory of the innocent victims. But out of the silence a single voice was heard. Lydia Bernsmeier-Rullow began to sing the Oasis song, Don't Look Back in Anger. Soon the crowd joined in and a video of the moment went viral.
Don't Look Back in Anger became an anthem of solidarity and strength in the aftermath of the Manchester Arena terror attack.
The song was then sung by Chris Martin at Ariana Grande's One Love Manchester Concert on June 4, to raise money for the victims and to rally spirits after such a traumatic event.
Ariana Grande decided to put on One Love Manchester concert, a benefit concert in Manchester for the victims just a couple of weeks after the tragedy.
Let’s just pause and think about this for a second.
She didn’t do this from the safety of a studio in LA and beam it in by satellite. She didn’t just go on TV to denounce the attack and express support for the victims. She didn’t just record a song and donate the proceeds to charity (although she did donate the royalties from the re-release of her hit “One Last Time” to the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund).
But... She went back to Manchester. Back to the place where she wasn’t that far away from being a victim of the attack herself. And she put on a show, the like of which Manchester has never seen, with some of the biggest names in pop music on the stage with her.

Chris sang it really good to be fair. Coldplay were my fave performers tonight but justin beiber, ariana and liam all did good too.
Usually have no time for Bieber, but thought he actually did good last night, thought he sounded great and sang the rite songs for the occasion, fair play to the lad.
As an American, I really love British bands. I really appreciate everything they did after that attack to raise money and unite the country. Coldplay is one of my two favorite bands (Dream Theater being the other).
You should check out the first two Oasis albums mate, Definitely Maybe and What's The Story Morning Glory. They are unbelievably good.
To be honest their Bside collection The Masterplan is amazing too... Songs like Masterplan, Acquiesce, Talk Tonight, Half The World Away are better then most bands best songs.
Oasis 97 album Be Here Now was universally praised at the time, but even now Noel hates it! 😂 It's got some amazing songs on it like Stand By Me, Dyou Know What I Mean?, Don't Go Away and the title track....
This song is Oasis, which was basically two brothers, liam and noel. Noel wrote all the music and words and sometimes sang. This song was their first single with Noel on vocals. It's an amazing song and video.
First time I seen them was 97 and hour before the show Liam pulled out so Noel had to sing (this was Dublin, weird because even though they are born and raised in Manchester their parents are Irish and they usually give a lot to irish gigs) but it was AMAZING! He really made up for it and gave it loads...
Sorry about the rant there Ben, but those two albums are incredible and songs like Live Forever, The Masterplan, Champagne Supernova, Don't Look Back In Anger, Whatever, Some Might Say.... Mate... Just give your ears a treat and check them out!
All the best from 🇮🇪 Ben
And you are right about uniting the country. There are huge Irish communities in Manchester, Liverpool nd London. My sister lived in Manchester at the time... I was in London at the 07/07/05 bombs...
These cowardly scumbags have such a problem with women being free and independent and people having fun they attack a venue with young girls, pre teens most of them? And somehow that makes them men... Ridiculous.
I still remember hearing about 9/11, I was in a part time job before college started... We are 5 hrs ahead so... We couldn't believe it. Again... Huge 🇮🇪 community in NYC... I love the place...
All the flack America gets for wars and all... But you lads get in there, you bring the heat and your bravest and finest sacrifice their lives so we stay free and stuff like this is not left unpunished.

I love how Ariana brought this together and we all forgot our silly differences and arguments and celebrated unity.
We really need more nights like this.
@@mccarthy5825 That is great info! Those two albums definitely sound worth owning. Yes, I agree that for that group of attackers being cowards. @@benkelley6561 you are more than welcome Ben mate 👍 hope you enjoy the music. Always a good thing to share music IMO. It's the universal language. Crosses all boundaries.
Cowards is right and it really brings down a lot of negativity on the regular, peaceful, decent Muslims. But something like this really brings people together and shows us how some empathy, compassion and kindness can do wonders.
Always welcome in this country and city too Ben 👍 ☺
