You have to admit their will never be another talent like The Undertaker , I’m just happy I got to grow up watching him and I feel sorry for the current WWE Fans having to deal with the current Talent .
Each generation has their own roster they grow up with. One is not better than the other, it really depends on how much you grew up with WWE, and when you started to watch it. Sure, looking back at things there are definitely better rosters, but to these kids watching WWE Today, they don't give a shit about that. WWE is still, and always will be entertainment, and that is all they need. I will say I loved WWE back in the day when they made everybody a superstar, not just 3-4 people.
Underated?! He hat all the titles won in the first 2 years and had some classics with Benoit, Kane, and Cena. Thats not underated not even close. Underated would be Albert, Rey Mysterio, The Miz, hell John Morrison is one of the most gifted talents and was highly underused.
Kurt Angle from 2005 - 2006 was absolutely insane, I think the intensity started at the RR 2005 and just kept rising, I know Rey Rey had to win the belt at mania because of the story going in but damn, I would've loved to see Angle keep the title and take on a few more challengers. This match with Taker was absolutely insane, I've watched it several times, one of my favs
Kurt giving Bret Hart props is really cool! My greatest dream match is Angle vs Hart, both were technical geniuses and Kurt's intensity with Bret's icy demeanor would be great storytelling.
This is my favorite Undertaker match of all time. I’ve never seen Taker outwrestled like that. It felt like the manliest thing in the world when Kurt broke the 10 count.
It's one of my favorite Undertaker match too. Kurt was doing so many crazy reversals, Kurt Angle was turning almost all of Taker's moves into an Ankle lock.
Shoutout to Conrad!!! I absolutely LOVE his "play-by-play" method of interviewing Kurt, getting the absolute most detail from Kurt's matches. And Conrad ALWAYS asks the questions that the fans want to have answered the most... Always a top-notch interview.
Undoubtedly Undertaker was at his best from 2005 - 2010 and to me Kurt was his best from 2003 - 2010, he was more comfortable in the ring and was seasoned at this time, so there is no doubt why this match discussed was so amazing. Kurt was the wrestling machine, another match that was amazing Kurt vs Samoa Joe was spectacular also. Another series of matches that dont get enough love is Kurt vs AJ, I wished they would've had a match in WWE, but it would've been dope.
Dude I love Kurt angle. I’m so glad he’s is willing to tell these stories. One of my all time favorite wrestlers and my favorite villain from when I watched wrestling. He was hilarious and was so technical it was like a new unique style because nobody else really did what he did.
Really magnificent hard hitting match with a lot of great submissions and wonderful mind games. Seeing Kurt play a nice amount of brawler with Taker & Taker using submission game on Kurt was a great decision
It was great. As was mentioned in the interview, Taker was getting into UFC-style submissions by that time, and Angle was always into making his matches look as authentic as possible... A perfect combination, if you ask me.
Honestly this might be my personal favorite match of all time. Undertaker and Kurt Angle are my two favorite wrestlers of all time and I always love it when they locked up. Even in the early days in 2000 there matches weren't great there character interactions we're amazing. Then you get to this match which again is one of if not my favorite match ever. Very clever finish as well
Honestly, this was - without exaggeration - the most insightful video on pro wrestling I have ever heard. Angle is so humble and informative. I’m absolutely loving this new podcast.
Was blessed to get the DVD of No Way Out 2006 as my first wrestling dvd as a child. I always recommend it to any wrestling fan I meet. Also the cruiserweight battle royale for the opener was my 2nd favorite match on that dvd
This is in my top five maybe even top three greatest matches of all time!!!! Shawn Michael is my favorite wrestler but when I saw angles, technical ability and the way, he reversed every move undertaker through him and got the roll up for the finish I thought to myself man this guys is the greatest!!!!!!
I remember watching that match on Pay Per View in 2006, I was 11 and I was completely mind blown, one of the best matches of the entire Ruthless Aggression Era
Really loving this series! Thank you both for doing this I love that Kurt reflects on Benoits wrestling life. He’s been doing it for years. I’m sure Chris was his favorite opponent, if he hasn’t flat out said it already
THE UNDERTAKER VS KURT ANGLE FULLY LOADED 2000 THE UNDERTAKER VS KURT ANGLE SURVIVOR SERIES 2000 THE UNDERTAKER VS KURT ANGLE SMACKDOWN 2002 WWE UNDISPUTED CHAMPIONSHIP THE UNDERTAKER VS KURT ANGLE SMACKDOWN 2003 WWE CHAMPIONSHIP THE UNDERTAKER VS KURT ANGLE NO WAY OUT 2006 WORLD HEAVY WEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP THE UNDERTAKER VS KURT ANGLE SMACKDOWN 2006 NO WAY OUT REMATCH WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
I love this show & the insight. Thanks Kurt & thanks for all the great childhood memories. When i first got into wrestling you had just won the wwf title from stone cold this was like right before the alliance you were still babyface pretty sure but it was always hard to tell with Austin. I was born in 95 so this must've been between 00 & 01
In '06, I was really tired of the Undertaker. I thought his matches were boring and thought it was about time for him to retire. His match with Angle was a turning point for him. He followed that with some truly great Wrestlemania matches against the likes of Batista, Edge and eventually Shawn Michaels, Triple H and CM Punk(Taker's last great Wrestlemania match)
Why does Conrad always bring up Meltzer? He's irrelevant. A fan with a newsletter. Of course they wanted to steal the show but Taker and Angle did not go into that match giving a f##k about 5 stars...
i love rey but this shouldve main evented mania...taker shouldve went on a wild main event wm streak from 22-26 all classics...side note kurt angle is literally the greatest wrestler of all time...thts just how i feel
It has to be done properly, lest someone get seriously injured. But I agree. I could see Brian Danielson breaking it out if he comes back, wherever it may be.
Seriously can't remember any match that Kurt was in During his first run in the WWE .. I don't think anyone will make a start the way he did, from the moment he grabbed the microphone and told the fans you don't boo Olympic gold medalists in his debut Vs Shawn Staziak I knew he was gonna do big things in the company.
I am guessing this show is brand new. I think its cool Kurt has a podcast. He's a shooter so I respect him a lot more... you always wonder what a shooter thinks about the business. Ot at least I do.
Bret hart vs kurt angle would have been some spectacle, one of the best match ups never to be. Brets career was cut about a decade short, what a fucking waste
If you take 2005-06 "Intense" Kurt vs. late 1996-97 "Whiny Heal" Bret Hart you would have a physical technical masterpiece. Kurt's aggressive technical style along with Bret's methodical psychology, isolating a body part and selling would have been amazing to see.
When it comes to pro wrestling the rule should be: whoever is in control while a hold is on can't be pinned. That should be pretty obvious. Falling back on the old "well it's pro wrestling" just allows for too many holes in the rule book.
Oh Meltzer didn't like the match in 2000, so of course i can't have been a good match. What a silly implication that is. Meltzer is a critic he is not the last word on wether a match is good or not. In fact these days if he like it, I often find that I hated it.
WTF humble pie when you've won Olympic gold with a broken freaking neck? He's not boastful or arrogant. Just factual. He may be right, he may be wrong but to get to that level you need to believe.
Kurt angle should have won against Taker at no way out Randy Orton won against rey and On the next night Orton should have challenged angle for the Championship at smackdown via distraction of undertaker angle loses the belt and now angle wants payback that would have setup Rey Mysterio vs Randy Orton for the world championship Kurt angle vs undertaker for the streak at WrestleMania 23
Yeah, they're both night and day. Taker in 2000 was out of shape and Angle in 2000 was still a bit green. In 2006, both were two of the best performers in the business.
I love Kurt but he likes to toot his own horn a bit too much which is irratating when it's pretty much every time he gets asked a question by Conrad .. just shut up and chill out man.
Ugh...so sick and tired of hearing "Meltzer" like he's supposed to be some sort of standard-bearer. No one cares what he thinks. That was a good match.
One of the best matches ever! 🔥
I would agree it should have be a wrestmania match!!!!!
Awesome match def!
You have to admit their will never be another talent like The Undertaker , I’m just happy I got to grow up watching him and I feel sorry for the current WWE Fans having to deal with the current Talent .
I was 11 years old when he came to WWF. Similar to Simpsons, they were a huge part of my upbringing.
Same here, truly amazing
I’m 18 and this was the first undertaker match I ever saw, I tried to recreate it in svr 2007 for years😂
Each generation has their own roster they grow up with. One is not better than the other, it really depends on how much you grew up with WWE, and when you started to watch it.

I will say I loved WWE back in the day when they made everybody a superstar, not just 3-4 people.
There will never be another talent like Kurt either.
Kurt is a top 5 wrestler ever and he still feels underrated. Kurt and Shawn are the most talented performers ever.
Underated?! He hat all the titles won in the first 2 years and had some classics with Benoit, Kane, and Cena. Thats not underated not even close. Underated would be Albert, Rey Mysterio, The Miz, hell John Morrison is one of the most gifted talents and was highly underused.

He was more insane with he joined tna
Perc Angle was a different breed
Damn this match is ridiculously underrated
Not really
4 stars okay that was a 5 star match if I’ve ever saw one .
16:00 Kurt showing mercy to Meltzer when he could easily bury him 😂
Kurt is a class act
Kurt giving Bret Hart props is really cool! My greatest dream match is Angle vs Hart, both were technical geniuses and Kurt's intensity with Bret's icy demeanor would be great storytelling.
What do you think of bret vs Danielson I think this could have been amazing too and kurt Danielson 2 would have been amazing as well
This is my favorite Undertaker match of all time. I’ve never seen Taker outwrestled like that. It felt like the manliest thing in the world when Kurt broke the 10 count.
I believe you're selling it more than it's worth lol
It's one of my favorite Undertaker match too. Kurt was doing so many crazy reversals, Kurt Angle was turning almost all of Taker's moves into an Ankle lock.
Shoutout to Conrad!!! I absolutely LOVE his "play-by-play" method of interviewing Kurt, getting the absolute most detail from Kurt's matches. And Conrad ALWAYS asks the questions that the fans want to have answered the most... Always a top-notch interview.
Great match and how awesome would have Kurt Angle vs Bret Hart in their primes!
My #1 dream match, in-ring mat performance wise they're #1 and 2
Ah man, prime Angle vs prime Hart would be the DREAM match.
Or vs Owen
Undoubtedly Undertaker was at his best from 2005 - 2010 and to me Kurt was his best from 2003 - 2010, he was more comfortable in the ring and was seasoned at this time, so there is no doubt why this match discussed was so amazing. For such a gigantic dude undertaker could work his ass off man...no laziness whatsoever in that big ass dude lol
Very true never lazy. Great guy and great wrestler
This match is so good... I think I have rewatched it over 30 times over the years.
Very clever finish as well
I have to say Kurt Angle is such a humble individual... What a great wrestler, entertainer who had a great career... Happy for him .
Honestly, this was - without exaggeration - the most insightful video on pro wrestling I have ever heard. Angle is so humble and informative. I’m absolutely loving this new podcast.
I saw this match live, what an honor!
If I was gonna lie, I would lie and say I was at mania 25 for Taker Shawn.
@Hidden Sword is it so hard to believe some dude went to a wrestling show 😂😂
@Hidden Sword wtf you really calling a man a liar because he said he went to a ppv I’ve been too hella wwe ppvs live don’t hate.
@Hidden Sword if you’re broke say that🙄is it rlly that hard to believe that a wrestling fan went to a wrestling event?
Was blessed to get the DVD of No Way Out 2006 as my first wrestling dvd as a child. I always recommend it to any wrestling fan I meet. Also the cruiserweight battle royale for the opener was my 2nd favorite match on that dvd

2006, great year!
MOTY in 06. Undertakers most underrated match.
This is probably one of the best if not the best match of 2006 Undertaker vs Angle
kurt from 2001-2007 was AMAZING !
I love this show & the insight. Thanks Kurt & thanks for all the great childhood memories. When i first got into wrestling you had just won the wwf title from stone cold this was like right before the alliance you were still babyface pretty sure but it was always hard to tell with Austin. Kurt won the title from Austin in September of 2001. One of their best matches too.
I still remember.. me and friend after school was talking about this match like how crazy and good it was
I barely remember matches from last week but I'll always remember this bona-fide classic
Best Ankle Lock was against Stone Cold at Unforgiven 2001. Nothing but goosebumps.
My 19th birthday, my first ever WWE live show, before Kofi winning the belt, this was the greatest match I’ve seen live
Loved this match so much
Get taker on the show already, even if its like 2-3 hours long, everyone will watch.
Always was an Angle fan. But I never would have known how enjoyable he would be to listen to.
This was the best Kurt Angle vs Undertaker feud ever imo.
Really liked their 2000 survivor series match, great finish with Kurt's brother Eric!
The best wrestling match all time Kurt angle wrestler undertaker at wwe no way out
I’ve always thought the same thing. I’ve never seen a better match, I don’t think.
Don't know about best match but definitely one of the best finishes with that jacknife pin
@@davsavchav honest I wanna know if taker was supposed to win because of the confusion near the end. But Kurt kinda did something sneaky
i always remember watching this i knew it was one of the best matches ever

Taker had a great programme and series of matches with Randy Orton in 2005 though?
@@Mrazmatmahmood lol yeah not sure how he got this when he was sensational in 2005
This is my favorite wrestling match
Instant Classic.
That match was great
Taker’s greatest match
Why does Conrad always bring up Meltzer? He's irrelevant. A fan with a newsletter. Of course they wanted to steal the show but Taker and Angle did not go into that match giving a f##k about 5 stars...
Conrad doesn't know any better, which is sad
Amazing match!
My favorite match of Kurts entire career
Kurt Angle may be the only guy to defeat every top guy in the business during their career.
i love rey but this shouldve main evented mania...taker shouldve went on a wild main event wm streak from 22-26 all classics...side note kurt angle is literally the greatest wrestler of all time...thts just how i feel
I feel like the figure four on the post needs to be done more often
No that will kill the move
@@Weplay2players it’s not been done in years
It has to be done properly, lest someone get seriously injured. But I agree. I could see Brian Danielson breaking it out if he comes back, wherever it may be.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the UNDERTAKER
Less than 10 seconds in the observer is mentioned. Less than 45 seconds , Meltzer is mentioned. New record?
Such a great match.
This match getting 4*s is the greatest injustice in all of sporting history.
I really wish instead of Mark Henry, Taker would fight Angle in WM22
I wished that same thing
Both were pretty much in their prime here
Undertaker is what a 40 year old and a 10 year old have in common
One of Kurts last WWE matches
8 fricken ad breaks in a 20 minute clip
Kurt would have been a machine in the attitude era
Definitly there best match
Seriously can't remember any match that Kurt was in During his first run in the WWE .. I don't think anyone will make a start the way he did, from the moment he grabbed the microphone and told the fans you don't boo Olympic gold medalists in his debut Vs Shawn Staziak I knew he was gonna do big things in the company.
Weird. The matches for me are always the ones where my favorite lost.
6:15 Conrad turns into Paul Bearer
Ohhhhhh yessssssssssss
Well Said Today Kurt!!😎🐐🐐
I am guessing this show is brand new. I think its cool Kurt has a podcast. He's a shooter so I respect him a lot more... you always wonder what a shooter thinks about the business. Ot at least I do.
Esa combate interesante 🏆😂💥
I think undertakers prime was like 1998 through 2000
who gives a fuck about Meltzer's ratings...
I would definitely pay to watch Bret Hart 96 vs Kurt Angle that's a 5 star match all the way around.
5 🌟
You know you're a good wrestler when an Olympic Gold Medallist, like Kurt Angle, barrows moves from your playbook.
When did big show quit to be a boxer and lose alot of money?
I seen when superstars pin with one arm so Ronda Rousey was technically pinned when she hit the arm bar then lol
That should had been a rematch
They had a rematch on sd 2 weeks later
It blows my mind that kurt viewed himself as the best wrestler on the roster at that time, when it was clearly Dirty Dick Slater or Black Bart.
Bret hart vs kurt angle would have been some spectacle, one of the best match ups never to be. Brets career was cut about a decade short, what a fucking waste
You can think Oldberg for that.
Iv always been a fan of kurt but it's kinda weird that he has posters n cutouts of himself all over his place lol
When it comes to pro wrestling the rule should be: whoever is in control while a hold is on can't be pinned. That should be pretty obvious. Falling back on the old "well it's pro wrestling" just allows for too many holes in the rule book.
Is it me or does Kurt look sick?
This match was so ridiculous Batista hyping it up earlier in the night and all the submissions wow
Hbk vs kurt still classic.. brock eddie benoit vs kurt all classic
I think the only better taker match than this one is mania 25 with Shawn Michaels.
Oh Meltzer didn't like the match in 2000, so of course i can't have been a good match. What a silly implication that is. Meltzer is a critic he is not the last word on wether a match is good or not. In fact these days if he like it, I often find that I hated it.
Conrad definitely has way too much reverence for Meltzer’s opinions. He mentions him in almost every clip of the kurt angle podcast on youtube lol
‘In 2006 I was the best wrestler on the roster, probably the best wrestler in the world’
- Kurt ‘humble pie’ Angle
WTF humble pie when you've won Olympic gold with a broken freaking neck? He's not boastful or arrogant. Just factual. He may be right, he may be wrong but to get to that level you need to believe.
And he was absolutely right
Well he’s right so whatever I’ll allow it.
Kurt Angle was ABSOLUTLEY the best wrestler in the world between 2005-2010
nobody ever pins the undertaker
Only thing I dislike about these podcasts is mentioning dave meltzer opinion then responding
Why is his opinion so important lol
"You wanna be' the best ? Steal moves from the best ! ;)
KURT ANGLE FORGOT BRYAN DANIELSON WAS THE BEST IN THE WORLD IN 2006
Kurt angle should have won against Taker at no way out
Randy Orton won against rey
and On the next night
Orton should have challenged angle for the Championship at smackdown
via distraction of undertaker
angle loses the belt
and now angle wants payback
that would have setup
Rey Mysterio vs Randy Orton for the world championship
Kurt angle vs undertaker for the streak
at WrestleMania 23
4 stars? Hmm Meltzer tripping
The Fully Loaded 2000 match was garbage. This was a 5* classic!!
Yeah, they're both night and day. Taker in 2000 was out of shape and Angle in 2000 was still a bit green. In 2006, both were two of the best performers in the business.
Dude stop getting sidetracked it’s good and everything but stop lol 😂
A minute and 30 seconds and who cares what Meltzer says lol
4 stars? LMAO Dave
The Big Show Show got cancelled.
