But it's stuff like this that, to me, illustrates a vastly underrated aspect of what made Mark the GOAT, and that was the respect he had for wrestling as a method of *storytelling.* Just unmatched, man, so good.
This is my favorite match of all time. Michaels' entire performance, the 1st cell match, the wicked chair shot to Michaels, Kane debuting and ripping the door off the hinges. Just AWESOME

That's a common practice amongst wrestlers. Even Shawn and Bret were respectful in the ring because if you hurt a wrestler in the ring and the locker room knows you don't get along with this wrestler, then no one wants to work with you.
He didn't like Shawn as a person at this time (I gather they're friendly long since) but even so he knows literally no one is going to be a better opponent for this match.

Undertaker hit it right on the nail. Wrestlers today are pandering/begging WAY TOO MUCH for the acknowledgement & approval of the crowd while making ANY kind of offense. When you're in a fight, you're either trying to destroy your opponent or survive their attack. You have to make it believable. It's okay to acknowledge their presence periodically, but NOT to the level that we see it today.

It was a pleasure meeting you in person last month Maven. Thank you so much for this episode, The Undertaker is one of the greatest and seeing you and him (two legends) in one video made me super happy. Then man is amazing and a total boss
NAS!!! My man!!! It was my pleasure brotha. And you did a fantastic job on set. Hope your travel back home wasn’t too stressful. Know how much I appreciate your support and taking the time to come see us! We will stay in touch my friend
@@MavenKHuffman Thank you sir!!! good luck with rest of the shoot of DOS
Taker 's facial expressions during the show: "GGgggrRRRRrrr... I'm going to destroy you in a second!!!!"
Taker's facial expression during the interview with Maven: " And let me humbly show you the first pair of socks I've knitted all by myself, using my favourite , fluffy merino wool."
Child me is loving that taker is doing this. Never spoke for so long and now we get to relive all these moments from his perspective is just awesome 👌
Ngl I wish Maven still worked for WWE in some capacity, but I’m glad we get these vids every Friday🙏🏾🖤
He got really close in 2020 to be the commentary but pandemic happened

This was super insightful. The camera man angle I would have never thought of but makes perfect sense now. Thanks Maven for this!
All of the great work done on this channel has laid the groundwork for epic moments like this. Great episode.
The best Hell in a Cell match, and one of the best matches of all time. An absolute masterpiece in storytelling, psychology, moves, drama and let's not forget that ending. I love this shit! Maven on a personal note, I was always such a fan of yours from Tough Enough days (not gonna lie I watched season 1 at least 10 times now) and it always bummed me out that the world lost touch with you. You have so much inate charisma and you were made to be in front of a camera, which is perfect for content like this. Glad to see you back in the limelight and enjoying life buddy.
Maven is so bad ass that when he enters a room, he doesn’t turn the lights on. He turns the dark off.
nice
Your mom
Maven and Taker together is pure magic. It's like they are old friends catching up :)
Maven, your channel is so entertaining to watch. Always putting out good content. Two greats sitting talking about one of the best match types in WWE history. Hell, you eliminated Taker from the freakin’ Rumble, man! As a rookie! I’ll never forget watching that as a little kid and seeing the look on his face, like “it’s about to go DOWN”
I'm here for this friendship, it's so wholesome and you can see the sheer respect on display from Maven for The Deadman! Please do more content together, it's awesome
97 HBK was untouchable
HBK, the Undertaker, along with to a lower extent Bret Hart, Razor Ramon and Diesel carried the WWF from 1992 to 1997. Then came in and rose up Stone Cold, The Rock, Mankind, Triple H, Kane and many others in 1997.
@@rattlehead999 Bret Hart was not to a lower extent. He was integral from 92 to 97.
@@samnabawy2731 I was thinking about it, but he took a lot of breaks during that time no? Especially 95-97.
@@rattlehead999 He took one deserved break in 96. He was very important in the 90s for the company.
@@samnabawy2731 Ok, I'm adding Bret to the list with Shawn and Taker.
That’s why the Undertaker has always been my favorite wrestler since I was a kid. His passion for wrestling is palpable, and I love seeing Mark even more post retirement!
Seeing you both discussing a classic match gave me goosebumps. Thank you for making this.
This was such a great episode! I love how the Undertaker broke everything down. Great content, Maven. You’re killing it.
He is soooo knowledgeable! It was a master class from the BEST teacher!
GET IN THERE!!... My favourite match of all time! Absolutely out of this world and total perfection!! I was 16 and 43 today... Michael's v Undertaker are textbook at big man vs little man. Standing ovation!!!
It’s a tradition for me to watch this match at least once a month
It's by far my favorite match of all time. Never gets old!
I popped when I saw the title and thumbnail!
Legendary video
👍🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I love this format Maven! You can get so much mileage from it with different wrestlers going through these types of matches !
And got my favorite of all time as the first one! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
This is one of my favorites as well
MAVE so proud and happy for you and what your online Prescence in the wrestling culture/community has become recently. posting your first video telling stories on a whim, You prolly never thought it would turn into this. RESPECT
Maven I’m really happy to see your channel has grown so much. I haven’t watched one of your videos for a while and this appeared. Subscribed straight away. Great content. Keep it up 👍🏼
Taker still lookin jacked 💪🏽
He is in amazing shape!!!
I love that undertaker can separate personal and business. He don’t like Shawn as a person but can still work with him.
Something the trampoline boys can't do 😂 and can learn from.
@@nrabbi93 trampoline boys?
That's a common practice amongst wrestlers. Even Shawn and Bret were respectful in the ring because if you hurt a wrestler in the ring and the locker room knows you don't get along with this wrestler, then no one wants to work with you.
@MarcLpz0098 the not so young anymore guys that like explosions and say they're above most
He didn't like Shawn as a person at this time (I gather they're friendly long since) but even so he knows literally no one is going to be a better opponent for this match.
Man i saw Undertaker at Wrestlemamia 40 and omg it was INSANEEEEE!!! One of ny biggest dreams was to see Undertaker live and what better way than seeing him chokeslam The Rock. I’m 30 years old but i feel like a little kid
I was there to the pop of the crowd was insane and being apart of it was a dream come true
This is so awesome to see. I remember seeing you drop kick taker out the rumble when I was little. One of my most memorable wrestling moments growing up. Still a wrestling fan and seeing you 2 like this is unreal. 2 amazing legends.
Now this is AWESOME!! So stoked to see you guys collabing.
Maven's Podcast:

This is at Takers gym
I figured they did this when they collabed for 6 feet- love Taker & Maven.
they're at his house lol
@@rleonekc07you mean his "yard"?
Not just your best video, but the BEST wrestling video I have EVER seen!!! Thank you both for this!!!
🙏🏽 that’s a compliment I don’t take lightly! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Maven you are a great show host, your points are given in the correct time, you dont talk over your guest, sincerely a grade A host. Keep it going man.
I am SO HAPPY to see this video is back on your channel. Thank you Maven ❤
After watching the WWE cast try to "break" the UnderTaker and make him laugh the past 20 years, it's so nice to see Mark actually laughing and embracing you @17:59 is so wholesome. It's honestly like getting to look at a Unicorn! Those are the moments I love watching your channel for. All the awesome behind-the-scenes moments we never get on TV. Love the channel Maven & Zach, you guys are awesome!~
So much history made in this Match. Kane stole the show
I think Shawn’s performance does not get the shine it deserves. He told the story PERFECTLY!
Needs to be a regular thing for both channels. Obvious great chemistry and honesty from them both 🤟👍
Golden content, Maven! This is the kind of videos that belongs in a museum!
The way you said "phenom" my phone just explodes into awesomeness. You have such an incredible voice Maven. Hats off to you.
Seeing your channel grow so fast 420K in just 10 months makes me very proud of you Mr. Huffman.
🙏🏽🙏🏽 blows my mind!
I am more entertained listening to Maven break down tape with WWF legends than watching any contemporary wrestling.
Glad the video is back!
I'm honestly pleasantly surprised how in tune with the business you are. It's true watching this oer and oer again and hearing about it is much more exciting than 100 star boys with gymnastic routines. Thank you for the great content.
Absolutely brilliant, I love all of these, and both of you just being class acts!
I’m a simple man. I see maven upload a video, I click it. Also, as a bonus, we have undertaker and maven in the video which is a “deadly” combo😉
Maven really went for the biggest name in his rolodex.
😂😂😂 why not?
It's the biggest name in anyone's rolodex! 😂
The best WWE channel on TH-cam… just dragged in the GOAT in pro-wrestling 😮 cheers Maven, here’s to a few hundred thousand more subs!
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 thank you! (I needed this. Had a rough day and this lifted my spirits)
So proud of you Maven! Brought me to tears thinking about how far you've come.
GOAT wrestling interviewer: Chris Van Vleit
GOAT wrestling TH-camr: Maven Huffman
GOAT pro wrestler: The Undertaker
All three crossing paths over the last few weeks is the best team up since the first avengers movie!!!
Somehow, someway, PLEASE get kane. It'd be fun to hear about the provoke me era, the unmasking era, and especially his iconic debut!
Epic vid Maven!
this
You pretty much have “made it” when the Undertaker signs off on you & cites you as influence (his podcast).
Maven you might not have been a massive star during your run in the WWE, but your TH-cam channel has proven you were always a star if given the chance to show off your talents.
The fact that you did this on your own is all the more impressive.
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 trust me, this is all blowing my mind! I always knew I had “something” but had no clue it was THIS! 😂😂. And Taker saying that, still hard to believe.
Congratulations mav
Would love to know which part in his podcast he said that on, do you know where to find it? Very cool
@MavenKHuffman we love you Maven.
This is awesome!!! 😁. Maven and Taker dam sure can communicate effectively!! One of the best vids I’ve seen in a while.
Its amazing the things you end up noticing in hindsight. That camera man was really BROLIC! I'm really happy with the success of ya channel.
“Why are you picking them up when the goal is to pin them” spoke to me .
