There is a mess of things he did not show or did not explain clearly. Especially if this is your first time, this job can be a bear once things dont go as easy as he made them look. Watch other videos. There are key things you must do so the reinstalation goes as easy as seen here.
how do you know if the rack is bad ? when turning the wheel on my 2003 lx 2.4 the wheel has a wobble and tries to turn back some and has wobble when braking
How was this a great video lmao he didn’t even show the very specific part where he takes off the steering rack from the steering an puts it back on video is complete trash
@@pacetansasonny_soei2515 Did you loose both sides subframe. In the video you only did one (@2.00 and then @2.11). Any danger of everything dropping to the floor lol.
What about the bracket under the rear motor mount (only on 4 cyl)? It keeps the steering rack from lifting out. That's one of the hardest parts, I can see it at about 0:52, and you didn't show anything of it.. Also, there's no 5/8" anything on that car. Maybe you mean 16mm (almost equivalent), but there are none of them on this job either.
5/8 is a 16 just like 3/4 is a 19. This guy just showed you the short cut. It’s what you learn to do when your a pro. If you think that’s crazy I would blow your mind if you saw me take a torque converter out of a Camry without dropping the sub frame or completely removing the transaxle. And that rack slides to the left no need to lift it up. Take a second look 😉
