I’ve sewn and collected vintage/antique supplies & notions all my life. But they are ferreted away with regular sewing supplies & in the attic. You inspire me to organize it together and use some in display. Fun! ☘️🥰🥳

Your Sewing Notions collection is so cute. The square and horseshoe buttons are fun. My mom taught me how to sew in 1967 when I was 10 and I still have & use our 1955 Singer Rocketeer. My incredible son-in-law cleaned it so it’s as good as new.

I love sewing notions and have a collection myself. Just want to say that your tape measure has a secret. The tiny hole in a winding handle should have a micro picture in it. Have a look you might find a Victorian image inside. As for Black Magic chocolate it is still in production though the box is less glamorous now days.

I have a collection of old sewing notions as well. I’m a life long sewer and was raised by a life long sewer. They all bring back great memories of clothing that we made and the occasions that they were worn at. Especially the excitement of picking out fabrics for our Easter outfits. What really brought me back was the Black Magic box. That was my mums favourite chocolates and she shared them with us sparingly. I can still taste the strawberry cream.❤️🇨🇦

I haven’t done much thrift shopping this year but I have found a few special items on Facebook marketplace and recently bought some display cabinets, shadow boxes and printer’s trays to get some treasures out where they can be seen.
