I love that your are keeping "Grandma's purse" just as it is. It meant a lot to someone, and even though it has left it's family, someone still needs to treasure it on behalf of this grandmother. It's all a part of preserving history.

Grandmas purse, I"m sure she will Rest In Peace knowing it's in such wonderful hands. If you can imagine, I had a velvet suit (yes suit) the same color as your purse when I was a little girl (say 4 or 5). My mother dressed me in a white ruffled shirt (the bib was ruffled) with the suit. My love for velvet was not spoiled, thankfully 😂 Another wonderful video.😊✨❤️
I love the rhinestone purse. Grandma's purse. I love when items are labeled. My mom did that. She actually wrote in sharpie directly on some things. I think it was her way of saying. "There's no value in this other than sentimental. Don't you dare get rid of it!" Lol.
So lovely your thrift shop must be like an Alladins cave. Love the purple velvet my godmothers daughter had purple velvet for her bridesmaids with leg of mutton sleeves and velvet muffs in the 70's. I was trying to identify the medals my husband is Catholic. The oval one is called a miraculous medal with Mary the mother of Jesus, the round one with the stick is St Christopher not sure about the other one. What does the shield say I couldn't read it I presume it's in a foreign language. I ooh and awd when you unwrapped the note so lovely they are all kept together by the seller and you. Ten thousand followers well done.
The shield says the blood of Jesus with a Bible verse on the back. The thrift shop is never ending and I know a lot around here also sell on eBay. I can’t even imagine the store room for that.
love them! where do you have them displayed? i have one victorian black beaded purse i received for christmas & i hang it from my headboard post so i can enjoy looking at it.
Little purses of history. I always wonder why people get rid of their loved ones belongings rather than pass on to the next generation. I then imagine there was no one to pass it on to. In a way sad, but oh so interesting. Thanks for sharing your beautiful collection with us.
I think the next generation would rather toss out the old and go buy themselves a coach or MK instead of cherishing their grandparents treasures. So sad.
Those pearls are stitched in between....glue was not used on quality pieces. That glue spot is most likely used for a thread that came away, at some point recently.

When I was growing up those Catholic medals were popular,I have never seen such a small purse with 3 sections, love them all.

I bought a brown velvet suit in high school. It was too small and it didn’t fit me but I just had to have it.
