- In this combo guide I'll show how to get Sheba and max her affinity, but since that requires A LOT of gold, I'll also show you how I farmed it.

A side note that would be great which I just found out, common Blades you summon can have Salvage Mastery and it isn't just for Merc Missions, really helps get even more stuff per dive!
I read that the spot in Mor Ardain is better because monsters can spawn with a chance to drop rare core crystals and I can confirm it to be true. I keep hearing this is better or that is better and personally I see Argentum or Mor Ardain is decent because they offer 30k-38k and you could get over 100k.
In the final chapter of the game, there's a second trading NPC in Argentum, near the cylinder salesman (requires at least Salvager Rank C) , and the inventories of other traders expand greatly. The new one in sets worth 168k, and the trader in Fonsett will have a set he's willing to buy for 176k.

Hey Jay, wondering if you noticed the drop rates get bogged down? First couple run-throughs saw 2-3 chests almost everytime. Lucky if I get a 2 chest drop every 10 goldens now.
Also, may be good to add - for people starting this out - go buy out Bassani Butcher's deed (Dev Lv 1 - Mor Ardain) for addl. 10 booster capacity to each type. It'll help cut down on get caught up on burning them every cycle and you can focus on ~3 cycles before stopping to deal with them

I noticed that using gold cylinders at the salvage point at the base at the edge of the town would often spawn 2 or 3 chests instead of one. I know it comes down to luck even when you get perfect button presses, but i've noticed that certain salvage points offer more room for more chests.
I feel the salvage point in Mor Ardain gives more cash. Although the salvage point and the trader are further away, but the loading times are really fast anyways on the Switch so it doesnt matter that much. The only real downside is that you take longer if you get engaged in a battle. Enemies are around 20 and not 2-5. A nice little bonus: You get a deecent chance to farm up on some Rare Cores. 10 Gold Cylinders are areound 100-200k in some cases 250k. Gonna do Gormott since im maxing the villages anyways.

I just got into salvaging, went up the ranks and got a ton of gold and stuff.
500.000 and the rest to level her up was no biggy after that.
Sadly that was in chapter 1, so after getting a taste of the golden and premium cylinders I had to wait for an eternity to get back to that salvaging high. Hahhh..good times ^^’
You can make 250k if you travel to Argentum and use the gold cylinder there and the quick time is A A A and all monsters are lvl1 so definitely one hit kills so i think the fast travel is worth it.
Am I the only one who just uses Dagas and Sheba together for gold farming because Sheba’s 3rd special can drop gold

Also quite good to use Salvage Mastery Blades like Boreas and Praxis. Gives even more stuff.

To upgrade the skills that require buying and selling from merchants, you can buy and sell items back and forth at a single merchant without losing any money if you have 5 stars in that area. Cylinders worked best for me, as they are pretty expensive.
just go salvage in mor ardin, exchange for 30k with a cost of 5k for cilinders
Have you tried to see any difference if you use salvage + blades?
They stack from all your team if they are equipped, even if they are your 4th or 5th member
I like port anagham a little better plus premium cylinders if you just sell your stuff in different Titans and buy your cylinders there too that levels up your dev level super fast

It's actually level 4 super strength, not lockpicking that you need along with the level 4 Nopon wisdom for the warehouse

AvatarOfDiablo yeah like the turorial says, instead of selling collectibles singular by theirselves, wait until you have sets and sell them at that one trader in the video that buys sets of stuff.. same goes for treasures too.. also if a quest gives you 2 ways to complete it, money or item, just salvage a bit and youll find the item.. for example fixing that womens oven so she can bake a pie in torigoth.. above tora’s place.. he was asking for some good cold cash.. but first silver salvage got me key of chains that he wanted! Done deal!
Do all side quests, sell off doubles, triples, quads of core chips, or the upgrade core things you get for your blades, not core crystals you use to find blades but the blade accessory chips.. and salvage as much as you can... ive found i can get a whole lot of gold just doing those things but im early on.. really.. just trying to get to the tail of gormot... in the storyline..
Dude. At that point why even farm hold of you have a million! I'm trying to level up gorg and I swear I run into problem after problem. I have to unlock the thing to unlock the thing to unlock the quest just to get 100 XP. Fuck
It's pretty good in Argentum too, you can get 24000 and 12000 gold by trading at only 2 or 4 item which is very efficient also the two gives different boosters so you can make 150 000 gold before selling all your boosters

I discovered this when i noticed that salvaging was broken when i wanted to level up the regions. The more i did it and sold what i found the less the cylinders costed, plus there is a nopon that give you stuff and unlock the expensive cylinders if you farm salvaging for long enough. And now i have 5 million and i am happy (Until i found Sheba)

there's a quest for the guy(MIA Nopon I believe?) that trades silvers golds for premiums or you can dev 5 pay 25k each

I might be able to use this advice when I play the game probably 5 years from now but I'm sure a lot of people will use a video like this to their benefit.
Why 5 years?
When I decided to move away for work 11 years ago, my gaming hobby took a huge hit. I really fell behind the times with regards to new releases because video games had to take a back seat to my career, my marriage, and other priorities in life. Usually when I have free time my focus is to play games that I completely missed out on growing up instead of playing whats new. I believe that great games can always be timeless and as I get more time off I'm really focused on playing older games, so it'll be quite a few years before i get around to playing xenoblade chronicles 2 but if the game is as good as what everybody says it is then it will still be an enjoyable experience regardless if I play it now or play it much later.
The backlog is a curse I think many of us JRPG fans relate to.
I hope the games you catch up on are really good. I just beat this game today after I beat the first game six weeks ago. I am trying to get all the rare blades before new game +.
The-One-And-Only has this been patched?
There are Blades that have salvaging field perks that allows you to have much better results. it's not uncommon for me to get 3 red or pearl chests from using silver containers.

if you have a b;lade with salvaging lvl 3 on while you go you will get even more gold and treasure.
That could be Praxis.
if you have them all you can have up to 9 levels up from salvaging (if you have Bóreas, Praxis and Newt). If you had some luck with some spamming common blades, some of them can have up to lvl 3 in salvaging too (I had 2). Imagine
what chapter and level is best to farm here?

i can make 1M in 20 minutes at the Jubilee Gate with gold or premium celyinders and then selling the stuff to the nopons at the start point o.O it needs a small quest that the nopon there opens his shop but oh boy this here is such a bad recomendation ... >_> might be good for lv 20~40 but with level 50+ are ya at the jubilee gate at the cliffs of morytha and getting WAY faster rich then this.
If you're a C rank Salvager or higher you can find a secret vendor, initially found hidden behind some boxes in Indol near the port but eventually moves to Argentum next to the cylinder shop. He'll exchange for between 50k and 170k ranging from anything found in a red chest to a rare drop in a gold chest but with some really basic hunting you can obtain any number of them in a few minutes and get an insane amount of gold.
Just by farming at 3 salvage points for about 20 minutes each I turned in almost 2 million gold and got some really rare drops that also let me exchange the 170k prizes and a few legendary crystals as well..
If you don't mind doing a little fast travel, I find the payouts in Not Ardain and Indol are significantly better. You can get an absolute ton of gold from Hardhaigh Palace

FreakinSweet1987 that's the only expensive thing in the entire game. I'm 205hrs in and money has never been an issue. It's "worthless" because it's beyond easy to obtain large sums of money very fast via salvaging.

Should I sell my 80 rare cores and 9 legendaries that I have for profit? Still missing 14 rare blades, but not sure what chances of getting any are I'd kinda rather use it on something I will gain from, but I can't decide foreal:/ If I sell them I will use it to upgrade Sheba:) 3 charts left on her I do use her also she neat, figured I'd try to get more rares on ng+ etc

This is a very good guide, but you don't really explain the reasoning for wanting to get her affinity so high with the gold. Is she a powerhouse or something once it's maxed? Originally I thought maxing her out with help make more gold, but with all you have to put into her it it seems like a huge time sink that just uses more of it that you would have otherwise had.
You get more better performance in trade guild because enemies are lvl 1 so one shot kill and materials are the easiest to get
I have a big problem buying the crystal but it gave me kasandra and Sheba did not show up that I did wrong? I need help I did the whole tutorial but a rare blade called kasandra appeared when I opened that crystal
Honestly after the late game started money hasn’t been an issue at all. I get so much gold from farming the relentless arduran because of all the cores I get.
Quick question; would having many blades with salvaging mastery increase profit here? Im actually not 100 percent sure what the skill does
all i did was spam gold cylinders in a salvage spot in mor ardain... gave me about 2,300,000 gold per half hour

All the salvage points that I've come across have a consistent QTE. Even if it's something stupid like XBY, it's always XBY so you can get into the groove.

The better place is gold,out can 24k gold and rank up there.
Personally I get better results in Indoline Praetorium they have one trade that gives out 50k if your later on in the game I recommend this

Dont always throw away your common blades. The field skills they have are very useful.
If you tap your left analog while attacking, you'll reset the attack cycle making your skills charge faster (pyra at least)

Unlocks in chapter 5 I think. All the cylinder vendors will offer them.

You don't. You go to mor ardain and farm salvaging there. It has gold cylinders by default and gives you more gold than gormott.

Go to the dockyard of Mor Adin. Using golden cylinder and you could be selling stuff for like 30,000 each set at the capital.
More exchanges unlock in Gormott as you progress in the game too, there's currently an exchange for me in Gormott worth 40k and a couple for 30k :)
The better gold farm is that area in mor ardain where you can also farm rare cores
The core crystal is grey out so I cannot buy it, I am on beginning of chapter 4
Any item in a shop that's greyed out means either you are currently holding the max amount or you can't afford it at that time.

They might... but from what i can tell and have seen from playing/vids it only lowers the chance of mobs popping out.

Dagas makes this insane (+50% gold). Even more so if you have Boreas. Salvaging in Goldsmouth will get me about 400k for 20 cylnders

Release a 4 crown blade after maxing out its Affinity Chart. Only known farmable way right now.
Adam Stinnett wouldn’t call that a farm- it would take hours just for one blade

That's good to know! I didn't try it with the normals but was still coming out ahead with Silvers, wasn't sure how normals would go but at least you still make gold and don't lose it :)
