I honestly believe that investing in an OBD scanner is the best way to go when repairing or considering repairing your vehicle by yourself. The ability to access such valuable information pertaining to your vehicle is priceless, well minus the cost of the scanner! Thanks for the video Eric!

Eric I like the way you walk through the steps your description on how you think through what your experience has taught you as you’re explaining makes it easy to understand what steps one needs to diagnose what might be the problem. Your A/C compressor video was where I found you when you fixed the truck similar to mine out at the small airport man you make a lot of good n easy sense on how to approach a possible problem. Does the D6 read A/C codes? Other than that seems like a great tool for EPB functions. The maintenance items alone are valuable functions. ABS control is important. TPMS reset is good for those that hate the "Flat Tire" light always in there face. 28 reset and maintenance functions make this scan tool a low priced quality tool. Live Data is great. I use it all the time on every vehicle I diagnose. This ThinkScan D6 does a lot for the price. How important is the Electronic Throttle Body Relearn function? Absolutely critical on some feisty throttle sensitive engines. A tool that can put the idle where it needs to be is a good tool. Of course this is the power of a good scan tool. Looks like a nice little tool. I have the most basic and cheap scan tool that I bought on EBay years ago and I am itching to upgrade to a better DIY scanner. Just need to save up some bucks first. I'm putting this one on my wish list as I need to swap out a failed TPMS sensor.

Hey Eric, awesome video man I've been looking at a multi functional scan tool like this and the thinkdiag lineup along with the autel seem to be the better options to fit budget and capabilities.
I can tell you that 2-3 years back there were no decent options.
I remember when I started as automotive technician in 2007 it was either the OEM assigned scanners or snap on, non of these affordable units to be seen.
Mind boggling how electronics have changed with new technology and materials processes. Anyway thumbs up man #giveaway

If you own a ford Forscan is a great free scan tool. It detects all the modules hi and low can networks even LIN and proprietary codes.

I remember when Thinkcar started out, it was just a bluetooth dongle and a app. You paid fee for each new VIN number you scanned. Good small size. #giveaway

Hey buddy love your videos I have a quick question I bought a 2001 maxima and I pulled the codes p1211 tcs c/u functn I also have speed sensor codes for both sensors in the back can you please let me know if you think my ecu is no good and oh yeah the scanner can’t automatically detect the ecu I have to manually put the vin so I connect to the ecu I would appreciate any feed back thank you.
