How cool to know that you went to see the SOL PARAGLIDERS factory. I am a pilot and instructor I went to visit the factory years after I started using the equipment, I went to a training provided by the factory and I was delighted to know about every detail and care in the manufacture of our equipment. I love using this brand, I’m a representative of the brand and I take it with me wherever I go. I’m Brazilian and today I’m living in the USA and I’m bringing SOL PARAGLIDERS here.
I am glad you liked the video. I hope you can return to Brazil some day and see the factory now and say hello to the good people there. I wish you success in your teaching students and with your representation of Sol Paragliding equipment. Also, I am really loving your country and your people. The Brazilian people have been very gracious and kind to me. And the country is beautiful. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks JP. I'm sure the channel will gain traction eventually. I just have to keep posting the best videos I can every week and keep up the hard work. I'm glad you liked the video. I'm sure next week's video will be one you won't want to miss as well (seriously!). Thanks for writing me.
sooooo cool, I love to see the process behind the curtain for making these wings. Super cool to see a company that still does everything under one roof.
It was eye-opening for sure. I knew a bit already, but until you see how complex and how labor intensive it is, you wonder why they cost so much. Now I know. They were very kind to let me film it for you and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for writing me.
Life really is beautiful man. Glad to hear you're doing better. I like how crazy the company is about quality and safety, love to see it. Have fun, travel safe.
So beautiful. We are all blessed to be able to breathe and enjoy everything it has to offer us. Yes, they were huge on QA and safety. Thanks for the comment.
great flying again this week. I'm glad you got the bike to a mechanic to assist with diagnosing the issue with the fuel. Hopefully, these next few weeks are relatively uneventful from the Bike perspective. I'm looking forward to the flying. Also, I loved seeing the Sol plant. After hearing of the wing, it is good to put a "face with the name". I'm glad you shared.
Flying over that city was spectacular, but bumpy because it was mid-day. Also, quite nerve-racking because there weren't a whole lot of places to go down if you have a motor out or another issue. Unfortunately, the gas did a number on the motorcycle, but don't worry, many flights are sprinkled in there. And next week's flight is one you don't want to miss! The Sol plant was fantastic and I learned a ton about the whole process. Thanks for writing me. Can't wait for your comments next week.
Love it, great tour thanks to take me in, i need a tandem wing hahahahaaaaa. been busy with the sickness of my wife now getting better but great to see you rocking in your trip brother of the air.
Thank you! I'm sorry to hear about your wife. I'm hoping she gets well soon. If you get a tandem, take up your wife so she gets to experience what you do. Thanks for writing. Don't miss next week's video - it'll be one you'll want to rewind more than once.
Ripa, you would enjoy flying over here! Both free-flight and motor. The people and the views are fantastic. Glad you liked the factory. Thanks for writing and for following my crazy adventure every week. I very much appreciate it.
Thank you Mark. I appreciate it. That was the first time I got to see something like that in person. It's amazing how much work goes into each glider. Yes, I feel much better now! Don't get Dengue - it's not fun. Thanks for the comment.
Holy smokes! 35% ethenol!! I get upset at 10% going into my Harley!! LOL..... sure hope the motor isn't damaged. It definitely had to get hot. Happy for the factory tour. I've heard of SOL, of course. Didn't know where they were manufactured. I have seen the factory tour on TH-cam for one of the Ozone factories in VietNam. If not mistaken, their's is also 100% "in house". "The elevator lift".....only a glider pilot or skydiver will get that reference! I surely do. As short as it was, that was an awesome sight. Hello to EV42, and continue your adventure in safety! Looking forward to next week.
Yeah, 35% is a lot. The least you can find is 30%, which isn't great for the motorcycle. You'll have to wait to see how much damage the gas did (it's not looking good). Ozone is a French company, and they sew the gliders in Vietnam (so not all in-house). But I believe Apco might be all in-house (Israeli company). Not sure if Dudek (Polish company) sews in-house or not. I'm pretty sure all the others out-source their manufacturing though. The flight over the city was fantastic! And I'm glad it was short because it was rough up there in the middle of the day (and you could probably tell there weren't very many "outs" over the city). Thanks for writing and EV42 says hello.
My very good friend John Ryan, who taught me how to hang glide back in the 80's, married a beautiful Brazilian girl, and now lives in rio full time. He still does some paragliding, and has been trying to get me to come out there to visit, and do a little free flying. One day I will get out there. Brazil looks beautiful! I enjoyed the tour of the Sol factory. I owned a Sol paraglider a while back. I think it was a Sol Synergy. I still have and currently use my Sol harness for free flying. They make a great product..
Go visit John Ryan! Don't over think it or wait, just go and enjoy your friend. Brazil is beautiful and I'm sure you'll get some great flying in there. Don't wait for "one day". Make the "one day" and go. I'm glad you liked the tour of the Sol factory. I learned so much from being there. If you're in Brazil soon let me know and head over to Rio to go flying with you. Again, go visit John Ryan. Thanks for the comment.
Hello. Thank you for checking up on me. I have recovered almost 100%. It was rough going for a minute, but getting back home helped me heal up nicely. :-) thanks for writing, keep the comments coming. His adventure just gets better and better!
It was an amazing experience for sure. I was very humbled that I was invited in and able to film everything. I didn't buy anything because I have very, very limited space on the motorcycle... albeit it was very tempting!

It was great to meet the Sol team at the Coupe ICare. Thank you Kris for showing their factory!
Had a wonderful time at the factory. I hope you had a great time at Coupe ICare. Wish I was there! Thanks for the comment.
Holy crap. Can’t believe this only has 200 views. Talk about under-appreciated content. Keep up the great work!
I have a SOL harness on my MacFly btw 💪
