If GBA Rainbow Road gets remade, I think they should put the movie version of Bowser's Castle in the background. It's pretty similar to Paper Mario's version, floating in the sky with Bowser's face on the front and having balls with chains. It's more relevant in the modern day, and has a more intimidating design, so it's perfect.
@@Sady845no he is stating that the OP's statement is very obvious, and what are you saying something completely unrelated. Also 3ds rainbow road is one of the best tracks in the series
My biggest issue with 8’s Rainbow Road is that it could’ve been SO much cooler. One super underrated aspect of 8 is that most of the nitro tracks (and some of the retros, like Toad’s Turnpike) take place in an interconnected city, imagine how good a Rainbow Road going through that city would be.
Seriously, all the Deluxe version needed was a few crazy turns, loops and corkscrews, and it would've been perfect. But as is, you're just turning left and right save for the space station). And to think, that out of all the tracks in the game, this one would be the most underwhelming in terms of antigravity.
I'm SO glad 8DX kept the meteor effect in Wii's Rainbow Road, even if for just a second before Lakitu comes to whisk you back to safety. it was such a neat bit of the original :)
YES@@jomaq9233. Both need remakes. If wario stadium from N64 is split into sections, Imma be pissed. It isn't that long to warrant it. Also the DS remake of Banshee boardwalk is just abysmal.

18:09 Actually, this DOES make sense in the Mario Universe since Dry Bones are common enemies. Thus, multiple appear at the exact same time despite being the same character. And they're also skeletal versions of Koopas, which also have selectable slots in some of the Mario Spin-offs. So yeah. This tracks at the end of the day.
Eh.. the atmosphere is weird, the music isn't bad but not to bowsers castle standards, the only fun part is the spiral up to the top floor and the spinning platform and everything else doesn't really affect the gameplay.
@@theog2306 7 is a good contender for that spot too, and actually now that I think about it they might be tied in terms of gameplay, but I like the music better.
You're supposed to use the sand pillar in bone dry dunes to make it to the top area. It's also easier to make it if you take the sand path instead of the anti grav bone path
Also, I feel like MK8’s Rainbow Road would’ve gotten way less disliked if it was a section track, I think some people found it weird that they reverted to using the usual lap system for Rainbow Road after giving it the section treatment in 7
Yeah, also the antigravity mechanic was extremely poorly used, the could have put loops like in Mario kart DS, or a straight down fall, but nope, you could deactivate the antigravity and wouldn't feel a change...
This was a great journey to watch these videos of the nitro cups ranked. I'm betting right now that Mario Kart DS will get fourth place in every Mario Kart retro cup ranking video, or at least, last place with the Shell Cups ranked.

I'm gonna be controversial, no, I don't actually enjoy MK7's rainbow road that much. I think it's visually beautiful as a huge space nerd, but it's so underwhelming to drive on. What I expect from a special cup, and especially a rainbow road is that the tracks are either filled with obstacles that you have to learn the rhythm of (like the cars on moonview highway), or that it has a lot of difficult turns that you absolutely *can* learn, but where it takes a lot of practise to master. Frankly, I've never felt challenged by MK7's rainbow road (and this is the same problem I have with Rosalinas ice world) in any regard besides if I get physically pushed off by other players. If I can't even feel that I'm getting better at a track the more that I play it, I honestly think it's really boring. Which is why I specifically love MKWii's rainbow road above all else, because it took me so much practising for me to not fall off the track within the first 20 seconds. If MK7's rainbow road was as challenging as it's beautiful, it might've stolen my heart, but it's literally so easy that I just can't be a fan of it beyond its visual appeal
