@@myfrequencies1912 Unless you have a 2080ti you'll be shafted for sure. But the Pro is worth it for the exclusives and consistent performance throughout the gen
Same I bought a PS4 pro and now I'm thinking like was it even a step I should have took as to the PS4 slim is their even a difference? I mean I had the original PS4 and it was messing up and be so loud and over heating and just annoying so I bought a PS4 pro. But it's more exspensive than a PS4 slim. I guess eaither way it's worth it. Bit now I question I could of just bought a regular one to do the same thing on. :/ Instead of spending 400 and not like 250..
To put it simply: if you already have a PS4 or Xbox one, there is no fucking point in getting better graphics or anything, since you'll be so wrapped up in whatever action shooter game ur playing that you won't even be able to tell the difference.
MUG MUG FREEMAN There are great games with subpar graphics. Like Borderlands has cool graphics but not amazing, the thing is the game itself is amazing and so many ways that graphics mean nothing
#PCMasterRace (What? Its not console war. Console war is betwen Xbox and PS. Everybody knows that PC is superior already. Thats why its called a console war not console and PC war.)
@@King_Flush I bought it from him today, it's great only thing is that the fan noise is horrible 😂 I took off the top and gave it a good ol dusting with a compressed air can but it's still really bad
Yeah, I've had my PS4 vanilla since launch and I'm not buying this to replace it. Never was sold on the idea of a new console this soon, even if it's a bridge console between gens. The thumbnail for this episode is funny :)
I'm a lifetime PC gamer, all the way back to 486 amazingly. For the first time ever I want a console, purely for the exclusives, I will probably get the PS4 Pro as it has more of the exclusive games I am interested in. Anybody else feeling that way?
Paddy Mc You get the same games on both systems. Since the consoles this gen are like 2 gens behind Pc, you probably wouldn't even notice the differences (if you play in 4k on Pc, both Ps4s look pretty bad)
Well lets say the system is $400. Now lets add the cost for having online. I'd say if you but the system you will have it for 5ish years. That's another $300. There are more games then anyone will need on pc already. I'm no saying consoles are bad. But as someone who has a ps4 for exclusives it is a purchase I regret. It has not been worth it for me, as there are more games releasing that I am interested in on my preferred platform then I will ever be able to play anyway.
Can’t pull it out ur ass but u can pull it out your check lol that’s when I was making 70,000 n could afford it. I also have a curved 4K in my living room with sound bar and subwoofer. It was a bundle I brought at HHgreg for 2,300.
Actually I would recommend the Pro over the Slim just because of the power and ram upgrade, I didn't care much for it at first until my friend visited me and got his PS4 Slim with him, we both played RDR2... And i'll tell ya, his fucking PS4 became so god damn hot that the fan sounded like a jet engine 😂, my PS4 Pro was fairly quite, tho it did get a little louder after long hours of gameplay, but it never got as loud as my friend's PS4 Slim... Plus it did play most games with less if any frame drops, that's always a plus.
I just preordered The Spiderman PS4 bundle. My orginal PS4 is old and has been making loud noises while running for some time now. I already figured it's time for a new one and Spidey is my favorite so it was a win win. I'm excited.
I worked for my uncle all summer and finally have the money for a new console. I was wondering if i should get a Ps4 or Ps4 pro. (I am upgrading from a Ps3) 2017
Pro! Got mine three weeks ago and it was a good decision. I`m still on an nine years old Full HD 1080p Sony Bravia, so of course, with that set up, upgrading from a base PS4 to the Pro isn`t like upgrading to an high end PC. But i can See and hear noticeable Changes. Slightly better but in every way smoother graphics, it runs wwwaaaayyy more silent, better loading times and it boots Up a lot faster, even the main menu is faster and doesn`t lag. If they had a good 4K TV with HDR, DolbyVision and what Not, i`d even Go as far and say i don`t need a PS5 for the next 2-3 years. But, that is just my experience and opinion
I had a standard PS4 and upgraded to a PS4 pro. Gamestop gave me 225 for my standard ps4 trade in (with power up membership) but my main reason was the 5G wifi!! The standard PS4 was only getting about 15 Mbs while my room mate with a PS4 slim was getting about 130 Mbs. Traded up and now I get sweet 130 Mbs for streaming and gaming.
I'm upgrading my standard ps4 (500 gb, though with 2 tb ext hard drive) to a ps4 pro mainly because of performance. My current ps4 is beginning to struggle to run games at an satisfying fps rate and the rendering in games has generally become worse. Hasn't always been like this, but when new games i'm very excited about comes out, i just want to play them without these problems in order to enjoy them to the full extent.
I get that gaming pc's outdo consoles. But consoles are just practical. I like videogames but don't spend that much time playing on my XB1. Never more than an hour a week. When I was 13 I played for hours on end, grew up and realized how much time I was wasting. I'm not interested in doing research or going the extra mile to build a gaming PC. I simply don't have the time to devote to that. I got more important shit to do. Consoles are easy to set up, and the games that they get are almost always optimized. I've also heard that PC players often have troube with newly released titles, performance-wise. I don't wanna have to deal with that shit. I don't wanna have to buy a wheeled platform for my big ass PC so I can move it and plug it in to the TV. The way I see it, there are more casual gamers than hardcore gamers, and those casual gamers prefer consoles for their practicality, which is why the videogame industry is mostly devoted to consoles. Casual gamers don't give a fuck about fps and graphics as long as the game runs fine, and don't want to worry about things like specs and technicalities, and don't give a shit about mods. I don't care if you can give your character bigger tits. Again, people like me simply don't have the time to set up a PC, and just wanna have fun for a couple hours every once in a while. For me the xbox is enough. It's just games. Fuck off with that PC master race nonsense. Get a life. Learn useful shit. Read books. Get a girlfriend. Master an instrument. Something.
Coming from the loser who names his account after an anime character. That paragraph literally consists of a few thoughts, which took me maybe a little more than a minute to type out. It's called touch typing. Learned it so I could type out papers fast without the need to look at the keyboard. Useful when you have to type out long college papers. So unlike you, I don't type with my two index fingers and ask one finger permission before I press a key. That being said, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I felt like putting mine out there. Looks like a long paragraph but it is in fact just a thought. If wanted to I could type out pages worth of opinions on any given video, and it wouldn't take up more than a few minutes of my time. That is the purpose of the comment section. Peace.
Well they do care, they just may not now about such things as frame rate etc. It directly impacts the gaming experience and your input. Consoles gamers typically have a larger threshold for low performance. They are use to 30fps with drops being the norm, and that's fine if they are still happy with there purchase. You misrepresent what pc is (all consoles are now are closed platform pcs using of the shelf parts) claiming it has to be large and then insult people who don't prefer your platform of choice. Ohh fan fact, as an xbox player you are playing on a custom version of windows 10. Guess you better throw that away as you don't want to well out that massive pc. (rolls eyes)
You're missing my point. I mentioned moving a PC to plug it in to a TV being annoying because it is. Most people don't keep their PC's in their living rooms. Do you? I said that to convey the practicality of a console. It is always in my living room plugged in to my flat screen, and I can just sit back and start playing with the touch of a button. That's what casual gamers want. I'm not trying to insult anyone for not playing on consoles. I insult people who think they're better than everybody else because they can see high definition nipples on their character's breasts. I don't care what people play on. I just expressed my opinion about the meaninglesness of the whole thing. To people like me (most people) it's just games. We do know about things like frame rate. Building a PC isn't rocket science. We just don't care enough. At least I don't. We don't pay attention to that shit. For people like us games are just something to kill time with when there is nothing else to do. Games are fun and there is nothing else to it. Nevermind framerate, as long as the game isn't choppy. We don't notice frame drops because we don't care enough to look for them. That's casual gamers. Then there are fanboys, who care so much about frame rate drops they can't fully enjoy the games they pay money for.
Keep Toking Play a game running at 15fps and you will care though. You don't have to be aware of the impact it is having, for it tyo be having an impact. It was your choice to put a console in your living room and not a pc. That isn't a pro for a console or pc, it is just where you have decided to put things. Your major issue is taking the pc master race stuff seriously, it is a joke, originates as a joke and remains a joke. Meant to be taken as such.
I decided to buy a PS4 slim with 3 games included $100 more cheaper rather than ps4 pro without games.. even though I own 4k tv I am loving my PS4 slim and I made the right decision
@MrGhoulington I have tried it but it's not true 4k so I have issues there. Basically the pro finds it hard to maintain 30fps in majority of video games. If they could fix that, my opinion might change. I've played so many games and only about 3 to 4 third person AAA can maintain 30fps without severe dips.
ShinyClaws i habe bought the ps4 yesterday with two controllers and bf1 for 299 euros. I will wait for next ps and then i will sell this console! I think its not worth it, to buy a 4.5 ps4
+Efe Özulu if you've got the money buy a pro. but I recommend not selling your ps3 as sony still supports it. recommend getting ps plus if you don't have it already. cause they give away great AAA titles for ps3 like every other month.
you say 'to fully understand the system' its x86, weve been using x86 for fucking 20 years on pc, theres nothing to learn, nothing is gonna improve, if anything, as devs get lazier itll even get worse
Actually it's the PC versions of games that get rushed as the games are built for the lowest denominator which is consoles, optimisation isn't gonna change the fact that the revs are lazy, most only optimise up to making it run at 30 fps on consoles, the pa4 pro and Scorpio are just a waste of money, tbh so are the ps4 and xbox
Chris retro gaming was still the cheapest option tho. just look at that 59 $ a year just to play online. BS if u ask me. thr fucking moneywhore billionaires at microdong and sony
I bought the Ps4 Pro back when Battlefield 1 was a few months old. And man ... the difference on a full hd tv with a standard Ps4 against the Ps4 Pro with a 4k tv is crazy. I remember absolutely freaking out because I saw all the nice details for the first time and the right lighting because of hdr, it was really worth it for me personally.
I'm upgrading my standard ps4 (500 gb, though with 2 tb ext hard drive) to a ps4 pro mainly because of performance. Byron Flood Sorry, still haven't bought it, but i definitely will. I think it will be worth it, as the original PS4 is really struggling to keep up good fps rates here and there without going and sounding nuts, as well as it being slow
I have the standard PS4 and now I’m starting to realise some problems though bering in mind I have had the console since released date so it’s been worthy for some time but I realise that any game I download from ps store I’m facing serious overheating and it sounds like my PS is going to take flight, it’s fanning system is very loud, To the point friends in my party can hear my ps, this isn’t a complaint but ps Is a amazing console and Does last it’s time, just be careful where you Position your ps and always clear the dust out of Your ps, I’m no pro but mine has last This long, still all the games Work perfectly? Hopefully they stay That way, But with all honesty I’m not Interested in ps pro, it’s just Another way ps trying to grab money out of you or the same Console But more memory, I might be wrong but Ps is smart with its moves And could release Something out of the blue before we know it, its abit far fetched by we got ps vr, who knows what we got next, Before anyone knocks me, I’m no expert, I’m just going by personal experience, good luck for the ps players out there, hopefully it doesn’t come to an end
I bought a PS4 Slim on Black Friday for 199 plus 50 gift card at GameStop for my 7 yr old son. On Xmas day there was a problem with it, couldn't access memory something or other. Returned it, I had GS warranty where I don't have to send it off. They in return gave me the PS4 Pro....I didn't ask why just took it. Did I get a good deal? We did get a 4k tv at Costco.
I just got the ps4 pro about a month ago and absolutely love it!!! Never had the original ps4 but I'm currently running this console on a 70 inch 4k uhd full array screen equipped with hdr10 with a soundbar-sub set up and I'm absolutely blown away by the resolution output this thing has, games like horizon zero dawn is jaw dropping if you adjust your tv enhancements properly. Yes the downsides are things like no 4k blu-ray player but it streams movie apps in 4k if compatible. I have the star wars edition so it's a gloss finish unlike the original. And so far the initial load time for my newly purchased games are WAY quicker than my xbox one which will also be upgraded to the 4k version console. My final score to give in terms of form and function for the ps4 pro is a 9 out of 10. Worth every penny 👌
EnderNJ They are almost the same and this is actually slightly and you can sel it extra when next gen consoles come out. It's not the best as in it's not that much a improvement, but it's still a great console.
Recently picked up the PS4 Pro and I’ve got to say I’m really impressed. The new look of the console is great and the graphics look great so far, although I’ve only had a little mess around on MLB The Show 18. Looking forward to playing a few more of the games that I’ve picked up. Nice video Gameranx/Jake.
Was thinking about it. But watching videos like this im starting to have second thoughts. I mean, its not a major upgrade it appears. And then i have to get myself a 4k tv. From what ive heard the new xbox will dominate the pro. But i want the ps4 games :D
Emil Wiklund You have to Think that its also faster and more Powerful than the normal ps4, and you'll have to get to choose your Own resolution to games as you cant in PS4
Purchasing my first PS4 this weekend. But I think I'm just going to grab the 1TB bundle for the normal PS4 as opposed to a pro. For me I grew up with gameboys and the only console I've ever really owned for an extensive period of time was the Switch. For me I've never understood why some people can be so picky on graphics especially. Now that we're at the point that everything generally looks pretty fantastic, gameplay and story trump diming out the visual fidelity. So if I can save the extra money that would go to a Pro and pick up a couple of excellent games, then that's even more of a deal for me.
A few years late but i agree mostly with the video. I'm actually very satisfied about the pro version. I have a Q9F 4K Samsung tv and recently changed my 5 yo ps4 for a ps4 pro... And what a great difference there is! It's, in general, significantly better than the base ps4 for nearly all my games. Especially games like RE2 remake, WWZ, Mafia3 and Titanfall2 looks SO MUCH better than before on the same tv (all the way from graphical qualities to consistently improved/steadier frame rates). Yet i think the tv screen plays an important, if not a crucial role as well but i'm also convinced the pro version offers just more power and potential. People who denies that fact, either they have never played on pro before or never used the "right" tv with it (HDR, 4K,...). If you have a quality HDR/4K tv i can - in my experience - recommend the ps4 pro. If you don't have that tv, it's still an improvement 👍
Exclusive games are not that much different in PS4 Pro than Slim actually.. but for most of the games like the ones you have mentioned yes there is a difference. I used to play Apex Legends for example in slim and now in Pro and it's actually running at stable 60 FPS, something PS4 Slim would never do, regardless there is much more details in Pro than Slim. But still i don't know if it was worth it to upgrade to be honest as the main reason for me that i bought a PS4 in the first place was to play its Exclusives.

nobody talk about the ps4 remote play outputting at 1080P... I like this feature, but the 720P resolution on the original is a bummer
I'm a pc gamer ,I just want a console to play straight from the bed instead of going to the setup, all my friends have PS4 ,I want to play with them ,if I buy the pro can I still play with them (I am aware that with console you need a premium membership to play online )
I've not played a PlayStation since ps2 ive been swayed by the xbox but recently caved in and going to buy a ps4 next week just for the exclusive games such as last of us uncharted gods of war and knowing Spiderman is ps4 exclusive im looking forward to owning a PlayStation again im going with a pro just for the upgrades plus will be getting a psvr too which is supposed to be better using a pro. Ive only recently discovered this channel and appreciate the dedication in helping fellow gamers 👌👍
Just buy a slim with 1tb storage their like half the price plus i don't see the major difference since both support hdr and the fact that not all t.v,s and games support 4K
Barely as in it depends on the game. You'll most often see upscaled-to-2160p rather than native. Even when you do get native, you'll be suffering from lower settings and the added resolution only harshly lets you see how bad the textures are. (I get your comment, you probably only questioned "barley" because it's supposed to be spelled differently I guess?)
Anthony Bermudez That's a very sad way to end things. Now, I wouldn't exactly encourage it, but if you were serious about suicide, you'd not be alive right now. If you live in an apartment, there's hundreds of quick ways... that I won't list. Point is that suicide is retarded, even as a joke.
Got one and running through a good 1080p TV, and supersampling and boost mode are amazing. Love that the area of flickering pixels is finally over. Also, games load stupid fast and some older titles like Driveclub don't even seem to bother the Pro one bit as it doesn't even get hot during gameplay at all with those titles.
Yeah, treat yourself to a nice budget CPU or GPU perhaps. Hell, that 6 year old PC probably out performs PS4 "pro" anyways. LMAO. Speaking of which. I was just looking. I just found a 1060 on amazon for $200. Console people literally have no excuse right now. www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GeForce-Windforce-Graphics-GV-N1060WF2OC-3GD/dp/B01KQUDE2Y/ref=sr_1_13?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1478997198&sr=1-13&keywords=gtx+970
Mutated Pickle were shitting on console players that dont research what they say and makes tgem look stupid to us... And dont forget among us there are the elists that fucking bring hate to everyone including other pc gamers... For example for not investing in a more expensive pc or just bragging abour his rig all day long... A real pc gamer is more neutral and dosent hate or shit on console gamers and only try to help who dosent what to understand pc is superior in some regards... And that there is a diffrence between 30 and 60 fps... And other stupid stuff some console players say...
My only issue with PC gamers is with the ones who treat people like they're morons who don't know the difference between PC and console graphics, when the reality is that most consoles players know, they just don't care. Or they don't care enough to spend the additional $1000 they'd need to spend to get a great gaming PC vs. a console. Also, ragging on people because they are poorer than you and can't buy a gaming PC is being a dick. And it's being a dick about something real (class issues), not just the hobby part of gaming. I say this as someone who has both a PS4 and a gaming PC. I just think platform wars are dumb. There are absolutely missteps by different companies you can and should make fun of and push back against (Xbox One's dumb DRM push at launch, Sim City's similar terrible always online stuff at launch on PC, Sony's baffling move not to include a 4k blu ray player even though we are years away from streaming 4k being anywhere near the bitrate, quality, and uncompressed sound of a 4k blu ray with HDR).... But when those fair comments turn into personal attacks on the players, that's some grade school nonsense. Everyone has different budgets, different control methods they like, and different exclusive games they prefer. That's it. None of these things make anyone a better or worse human or gamer. The only thing in platform wars that determines how cool a gamer you are is whether you are charitable and nice towards your fellow gamers with differing opinions. The only lowly idiots are those who behave like insecure grade school kids when it comes to defending their favorite platform or bashing someone else's. Period.
I never understood the whole pc master race thing. console gaming is a lot easier to just pick up and play than pc gaming. it's also a lot more community based for multiplayer games than PC is. Not to mention it's cheaper and more worth the money than a pc is, as far as gaming goes. There really shouldn't be any argument about it because they're two completely different experiences as a gaming platform. it's like comparing pc gaming to mobile gaming. they're too different to compare, but neither are particularly bad. get your heads out of your asses, people.
Sigh the lack of education on youtube is fucking disgusting. Then again, most youtubers only exposure to PC gaming is the stupid 12 year olds that spam PC M47t4 R4ce thinking their part of the cool kids club.......
okay lets say you gonna use ps4 for 7 years same goes for pc there we go with the games GTA V and Watch Dogs 2 to buy PC Mouse: 5 euro Keyboard:15 euro screen:30 euro speakers:10 euro pc: 600 euro GTA V: 35 euro Watch Dogs 2: 35 euro Total 730 euro PS4 TV:20 euro ps4:300 euro 7 year online: 7x60=420 euro GTA V: 60 euro Watch Dogs 2: 60 euro Total 860 euro you're PC is outdated owh well a upgrade to an exsisting PC is around the 300 euro(assuming you want to stay at console graphic range) new PlayStation: ATM they say its 500 euro but lets go with 400 euro as the PS4 launched with that price tag conclusion PC is WAY cheaper then console AND you can do cool stuff like editing and YT and PC stuff.
I have a standard PS4 and Xbox One X. Black Friday is tempting me to get a PS4 Pro, but it still doesn't seem quite worth it. The X was a huge improved over the original Xbox X.
For some reason back when it was called Neo I was thinking it would play all ps4 games better. I was thinking, finally all games will run at 60fps! Then it was revealed as the Pro and only games that are patched or developed specifically for it support the extra power. That killed my interest. Now I will just stick with my launch PS4 until there are some must play games out for it that take full advantage.
@@theweirdo1027 Wrong, boost mode works with all games. PS4 pro enhanced games are games designed to use the PS4 Pro extra power. Boost mode enables more power regardless if its PS4 Pro enhanced or not so you'll get better performance for games that dip below their normal frame rate on base ps4.
@@theweirdo1027 , if a game is capped at 30 fps but drops into the 20s on base Ps4, yes boost mode can prevent the Dips so it gives you higher/stable frame rate. Digital foundry did a vid about it years ago.
I am a first timer for PS4. Rather a first timer for consoles, so I am going to ask some questions. I ask for apology in advance if the questions appear too noobish. I am so sick of upgrading the graphic adapter every now and then as the current hardware becomes obsolete in every two years. Here it goes.1. How is the RAM distribution in PS4 Pro. I mean 8GB is a shared memory. So how much is dedicated for RAM and how much for video?2. Does it get overheated after use for about a couple years?3. Does it require a UPS for stable electrical supply as the hard drive might get damaged if the power goes off abruptly?4. Is internet connection mandatory for running PS4?5. Does PS4 Pro has tray loading mech or direct insertion for running discs?6. Can PS4 Pro run the way too obsolete 700MB CDs and 4.7GB DVDs in its drive?7. Can PS4 Pro be able to make use of the HDMI-VGA client and run in a 1366x768 60hz resolution monitor?8. Does it support a 3.5mm audio jack to connect a home audio system?9. How is it's interface? Let me know what you think about it.10. Finally, I am in India. So what is the best time for purchasing it bundles or without doesn't matter, at cheaper price. Thanks in advance. I hope I wasn't annoying to you. There are many more questions, I can't remember now.Peace.
I actually used to work like that until I grew some demands and opted for a powerhouse PC that satisfied even my greatest needs...I still need better internet though.
And all these asshats giving the "just get a PC" comments are what show that the PC community is not as good anymore. If I didn't already have a PS4, I would be buying the Pro. But I can't even stream in 1080p, so 4K would just be a massive waste for me. I'll just be waiting for the next real new console. And I both think it is a good idea while also feeling it is a horrible idea. Now instead of focusing on improving what devs can do with the current consoles, they are now all going to have to make things work with both consoles which just hurts game development.
TragicMaster But... ya know... I have a PC and still buy consoles because both are good in their own ways. I can't play World of Final Fantasy or Last of Us or Uncharted or Final Fantasy XV on a PC now can I? And before you go the route of "you only buy consoles because your PC sucks." I have an i7-6700 and a 1070. My PC is just fine and dandy.
+ Scott Robbins Your presenting a subjective fact; what if i think Last of Us and Uncharted and Final Fantasy XV suck? But if you look at platform exclusives at an objective angle, PC has thousands more exclusives.
Jashua.J H You do realize you are using that same "subjective fact." What if I have 0 care for any of those PC exclusives? The same reason I don't care for an XBOne because there are 0 exclusives I care for. But the main difference is I am still okay with people buying and playing on XBOnes while all the "PC Master Race" people seem to not want consoles around at all. The PC is a good gaming system. There are certain games, such as FPSs, that I only really play on PCs. But consoles have their place. Consoles are cheaper in the long run and also will always run the game that is created for it. Whether that game was created the day of launch or 10 years later. I am sure there are some games created 6 years ago on the PC that don't work without you doing extra stuff, if they work at all. I know Fallout 3 doesn't work unless you go through a process and download extra stuff.
U bought new ps4 pro, and its very good. Graphich are so good even on 1080 tv, and i am very impressed. The only problem is fps, but it doesent matter so much. I am sattisfied.
Man I'm just getting a PS4 for all of the Kingdom Hearts Remixes and KH3 plus any other good looking exclusives like Until Dawn or the Uncharted series
Personally I love the pro, as my second PS4 I have seen a marked difference in the graphics quality and frame rates of all the games I play, even at 1080p. Two big standouts were Dark Souls 3 - an already beautiful game, given even more depth and definition to environments and characters. Was genuinely shocked by just how good it looked. And PSN download Helldivers - a top down shooter has never looked this good, smoother character movement, greater shadowing and improved colour make this game fresher and give it new life, connectivity has been a bit flaky but that's more down to the games servers, not that new of an issue. I will say that the Share function seems slower than on a standard PS4 and anything you capture can't really do justice to the gameplay itself, but that's a minor issue to me. Best thing? it's soooooo much quieter! My old PS4 sounded like it was going to explode whenever I played Titanfall2 or Battlefield1 but now I can concentrate on playing as appose to wondering if I should duck to avoid the plastic shrapnel!!
@@lavonteballard77 Absolutely!! Don't get me wrong it's not going to be as good as a PS5 but it holds up even now. Bought the PS4 SpiderMan bundle with 1TB, love it!!! Games graphics and speed really enjoy it. Trying to get all the play out of it since it was announced that the PS4 is in its last phase giving way to the PS5 (late 2019-2020)
i will tell u the best choice .... i have ps4 and my friend has ps4pro .. by playing backand forth ... i didnot really gets the difference . so its really not that worth according to price ... instead of bying ps4 pro u should rather buy ps4 and some good cds
I see a huge difference with the PS4 PRO and you're not going to see a difference when you play it at a friend's place and then go home and play it there. You need to see them side by side and I've done that and there is a significant difference. Far less jagged and blurry lines on the PRO. You need to realize that the PS4 PRO has more ram, bigger standard hard drive, better wi-fi adapter, better ram, better CPU and GPU and for only an extra 100 USD isn't going to break the bank.
Ya, That's true. I only bought one at launch because I only paid around $125 CAD for mine. But, If you had to pay the full purchase price where I'm from in Canada of $565 I wouldn't have bothered.
I think I'm going to get a ps4 pro because I don't have a ps4 so in my opinion that extra hundred bucks would be worth it right? cuz I'm going to get one either way
rupin kanet Only thing i wont be enjoying acutally is PERSONA FUCKING FIVE I NEED THAT SHIT IN MY LIFE AND I CANT HAVE IT CAUSE CONSOLES EXIST AND KEEP THE GAMES FOR THEMSELVES AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I have not owned PS4 and I am out of gaming field for a long time. But looking at the graphics from PS4, it really makes me feel like coming back to this again. I am ordering a 4k TV first.
PS4 slim 500gb vs. PS4 Pro 1tb the price difference between the two systems are 3 games (at least where i come from)... so either I can get a slim + 3 games, or get a Pro without games... for the same price! why would you ever want to get the Pro? it's way too expensive! the reason i never got a PS4 in the first place was because it was too expensive (not to mention, if you don't have a 4k TV and don't plan on getting one, then it makes even less sense to get a Pro, even more so considering the fact it doesn't even support 4k blurays!), but the PS4 slim has a pretty good value, but I can't say the same about the Pro...
John Smith I have to agree with you. Recently I suffered a minor injury, but will be off work for a couple months & my b-day is June 25th so I decided to pick up a PS4 since I don't have one. It's all so fucking confusing now that I heard about this ps4. Bottomline is I don't own a 4k TV. I plan on getting one for my room, but it damn sure won't be a 50inch, Maybe 20-30inch tops. My big screen is 1080 HD & I was planning on getting the 1Tb slim gold PS4 and VR set to treat myself while I heal. If I get this PS4 pro I'll have to invest in a decent size 4k TV instead of the PS VR set. Decisions. Not sure what to get now.
Ben You must not have tried it or read anything about the PSVR. Even the people who say it has not as good graphics (which should be obvious for half the price) agree that it is by far the MOST comfortable of the three. It also has the advantage of not needing a 2 thousand dollar gaming PC to run properly.
I've been contemplating on getting a PS4 pro. Ive been searching the internet to see if it's really worth it. The biggest selling point for me is smarter more complex AI. Sure graphical upgrades are going to be nice but having more intelligent enemies and "random life" is going to be sweet. As soon as my tax return becomes available in February Im running out, getting a 4k tv and PS4 pro. Besides, i enjoy being up to date on all videogame hardware.
ItsYaBoiChadweeno I kind of disagree.. far cry 4, rainbow six siege and Rayman are all fantastic games, regardless of the 'downgrade' in visual graphics for the first 2
Thank you, you gave me the answer I was looking for. I'm buying a ps4 for the first time ever and as you said the pro is the best option for a first time, not for an upgrade.
Hi! I'm a time traveler from 4 years in future. Ps4 pro is worth it specially if you want to play cyberpunk on playstation. It sucks on base Ps4 but is comparatively playable on ps4 pro. So ps4 pro is worth it. And yes Cyberpunk 2077 does launch in 2020 but its a buggy glitchy mess. And save money for 2020, there's a virus going to come from China, entire 2020's gonna suck donkey balls.
same here and i won't betray my current ps4 so quickly least one year or so might consider the upgrade let sony work out all the kinks in these launch pro consoles
I got myself a pc. Then gave it to my brother and got a ps4. Got bored of it. Traded it for a xbox one. Sold that one. Bought a new pc.. Now im getting this.. I thought we were sharing?
I have noticed a lot of differences and I must say the pro is a perfect machine it's much smoother and is definitely faster at loading especially if you have fiber internet. Plus the picture is a lot clearer if you have a 4K tv.
Gabriel Kero I am a PC gamer my self but there is no need to shove buying a pc down people's throats.they never said consoles were better or caused anything to prompt you to say buy a pc. Its a persons choice even if its not a better one.
People don't realize that choosing consoles over PCs doesn't mean saving money but time. You have less to worry about, you plug it in and you're ready to play whenever you want.
I’m glad for everyone who can enjoy 4k stuff. I get a migraine looking at anything in 4k. So, I’m stuck. I can see the better performance potential of a PS4Pro, even locked to 1080p, but is it that noticeable of a difference to bother? I only have an old PS3, and had recently picked up an original Xbox one for kicks, but PlayStation is where I’ve always found the most fun.

I'm a lifetime PC gamer, all the way back to 486 amazingly. For the first time ever I want a console, purely for the exclusives, I will probably get the PS4 Pro as it has more of the exclusive games I am interested in.
Anybody else feeling that way?
Paddy Mc dont buy a 400-500 dollar system to just play a few games it not werf
Paddy Mc You get the same games on both systems. Since the consoles this gen are like 2 gens behind Pc, you probably wouldn't even notice the differences (if you play in 4k on Pc, both Ps4s look pretty bad)
Bloodborne, Uncharted, God of war, Infamous, TLOU, ETC. Are definitely worth it.
Additional question, does Sony have a big catalog of digital versions of their PS3 games for download in their store?
The biggest improvement can be seen when you play at 1080p on some games that support 60fps, it is more stable than the non-pro model
You da man Jake!!! your before you buys are the FIRST reviews I ever watch, keep up all the hard work you clearly put into your videos, it shows man!

Really? I thought the slim was supposed to be much quieter than Pro. Glad I picked Pro then lol
Max Payne yeah the slim is more quiet, but it depends on how many hours you play tho.

Whirrlinq Music $200?! Rip off. You can get the PS4 1TB Slim bundle for $250 new.
Whirrlinq Music K 👌.. Hope he doesn't see this.
Why did you even upgrade? Just replace the HDD in the PS4 with a SSD.
Whirling Music bought my pro for 200 five months ago :)
Something.
Keep Toking if you have the time to write that entire paragraph you should get a life and a girlfriend lol

@@itsshawn1265 well thanks for the info. Though I'm not really impressed by ps4 pro's 4k
@MrGhoulington I have tried it but it's not true 4k so I have issues there. Basically the pro finds it hard to maintain 30fps in majority of video games. If they could fix that, my opinion might change. I've played so many games and only about 3 to 4 third person AAA can maintain 30fps without severe dips.

you say 'to fully understand the system' its x86, weve been using x86 for fucking 20 years on pc, theres nothing to learn, nothing is gonna improve, if anything, as devs get lazier itll even get worse

Maaaaaan, I need that Samsung Q LED in my life right now... 75" of pure gaming bliss. Gotta keep rocking with my widdle 42" Insignia 720p Plasma 🤷🏾♂️
And I'm just sitting here playing God of War 2 on my ps3 :/
+Jorelplay not a bad thing.
And I'm just here playing God of War on my ps2... what are the chances.
And I'm playing Mario on my Nintendo DS...
and I am playing Pacman on my Atari....lol
And I still have the first playstation and showing of because I have an antique console! 😂😂😂😂
1:40 that poor No Man's Sky, just gathering dust...
+JB Bosma it's VERY dusty
gameranx hey should I get ps4 slim and 3 games in package or buy ps4 pro and just have enough money for 1 game
I got a ps4 pro as of recent and its a massive upgrade from my standard ps4, the 1tb hard drive is a game changer
Iam gonna buy ps4 pro for it's exclusive titles.
And more 3rd😁🤗👍👌😰
No difference
if you don't have a ps4 buy it, if you do skip it
spudplays - If you have a console... or not. Get a PC anywayS
i bought a Ps4 Pro, and selling my Ps4 launch model.
Was thinking about it. But watching videos like this im starting to have second thoughts. I mean, its not a major upgrade it appears. And then i have to get myself a 4k tv. From what ive heard the new xbox will dominate the pro. But i want the ps4 games :D
spudplays Or just buy a PC
Emil Wiklund You have to Think that its also faster and more Powerful than the normal ps4, and you'll have to get to choose your Own resolution to games as you cant in PS4
Me, just gets PS4 Pro to play Crash Bandicoot 😂😂
weston landon Me just get a pc
weston landon
Hahaha some here! I bought a PS4 Pro a few days ago and Crash was the first game I downloaded to play.😄👍
weston landon gotta play in that Fur K
It's on other platforms tho
weston landon I’m getting it for Spider-Man ps4
Sébastien Grenier 1080? 720? How Petty
Gabriel Kero That's what I'm saying.
I'm a pc gamer ,I just want a console to play straight from the bed instead of going to the setup, all my friends have PS4 ,I want to play with them ,if I buy the pro can I still play with them (I am aware that with console you need a premium membership to play online )
SanSi TV I'm sure you'll enjoy it! Also you can buy PSVR for christmas if you want. I have it since october and its AWESOME!!
SanSi TV
yes you can play with them
SanSi TV Of course, that is a stupid question.
Geri Ott i just checked it , it worth as much as a ps4...maybe later , first the ps itself
Bruno Ferreira okay ,thanks
I've not played a PlayStation since ps2 ive been swayed by the xbox but recently caved in and going to buy a ps4 next week just for the exclusive games such as last of us uncharted gods of war and knowing Spiderman is ps4 exclusive im looking forward to owning a PlayStation again im going with a pro just for the upgrades plus will be getting a psvr too which is supposed to be better using a pro. Ive only recently discovered this channel and appreciate the dedication in helping fellow gamers 👌👍
I just watched the gameplay of tomb raider and forgot what he said!!!😭😠
Just buy a slim with 1tb storage their like half the price plus i don't see the major difference since both support hdr and the fact that not all t.v,s and games support 4K
Not half the price. Slim 299. Pro 399
Just watched the last of us 2 trailer and I’ve never owned a PlayStation at all but I now want to but this just to play that game
why didn't they name it the ps4k
cause its barley 4k lol sony can only lie so much
Barely as in it depends on the game.

Point is that suicide is retarded, even as a joke.
well this conversation escalated quickly lol
Got one and running through a good 1080p TV, and supersampling and boost mode are amazing. Love that the area of flickering pixels is finally over. Also, games load stupid fast and some older titles like Driveclub don't even seem to bother the Pro one bit as it doesn't even get hot during gameplay at all with those titles.
I am gonna stick to my 6 year old PC.

jonathan rosa word
Yeah, treat yourself to a nice budget CPU or GPU perhaps. Hell, that 6 year old PC probably out performs PS4 "pro" anyways.
LMAO. Speaking of which. I was just looking. I just found a 1060 on amazon for $200. Console people literally have no excuse right now.

I wish PC gamers didn't shit on console players as much.
Shadow 144 pc fanbase is cancerous
Mutated Pickle pc gamers are fucking jokes
Period.
sorry I can't hear you OVER MY NEEDLESS BRAGGING
I never understood the whole pc master race thing. console gaming is a lot easier to just pick up and play than pc gaming. it's also a lot more community based for multiplayer games than PC is. Not to mention it's cheaper and more worth the money than a pc is, as far as gaming goes. There really shouldn't be any argument about it because they're two completely different experiences as a gaming platform. it's like comparing pc gaming to mobile gaming. they're too different to compare, but neither are particularly bad. get your heads out of your asses, people.
agreed
Aye.
Sigh the lack of education on youtube is fucking disgusting. Then again, most youtubers only exposure to PC gaming is the stupid 12 year olds that spam PC M47t4 R4ce thinking their part of the cool kids club.......
slamkam07 It's no more or less community based. The difference is pc gamers don't have to pay a monthly subscription to use a games online services.
okay lets say you gonna use ps4 for 7 years same goes for pc there we go
with the games GTA V and Watch Dogs 2 to buy
PC
Mouse: 5 euro
Keyboard:15 euro
screen:30 euro
speakers:10 euro
pc: 600 euro
GTA V: 35 euro
Watch Dogs 2: 35 euro
Total 730 euro
PS4
TV:20 euro
ps4:300 euro
7 year online: 7x60=420 euro
GTA V: 60 euro
Watch Dogs 2: 60 euro
Total 860 euro
you're PC is outdated owh well a upgrade to an exsisting PC is around the 300 euro(assuming you want to stay at console graphic range)
new PlayStation: ATM they say its 500 euro but lets go with 400 euro as the PS4 launched with that price tag
conclusion PC is WAY cheaper then console AND you can do cool stuff like editing and YT and PC stuff.
Duffy Sullivan this isn't the neo it's the PlayStation pro
Are you stupid? The playstation pro used to be called the playstation neo.
Duffy Sullivan
boost mode changes that in the next update
Duffy Sullivan now most games are pro enhanced always buy a system a year later never at launch day
Hey PC people!
How frames per second is your PC going to run God of War, Final Fantasy 15, The Last Guardian, and Red Dead 2?
*Drops Mic*
Around the same they got in Uncharted...
Final fantasy and rdr2? 120+ fps
2:44 is false. The boost mode does enable better frame rates and has been shown to have slightly improved loading with every title.
Depends on the game
If it is PS4 pro enhanced
@@theweirdo1027 Wrong, boost mode works with all games. PS4 pro enhanced games are games designed to use the PS4 Pro extra power. Boost mode enables more power regardless if its PS4 Pro enhanced or not so you'll get better performance for games that dip below their normal frame rate on base ps4.
@@SWIFTzTrigger so. Even if the game is not PS4 pro enhanced I will get higher frame rates??
Reasons why I bought a console...
I'm so depressed I don't bother getting out of bed...
I actually used to work like that until I grew some demands and opted for a powerhouse PC that satisfied even my greatest needs...I still need better internet though.
There is Steam link for that...
TheStriker252 or you spend days at work on a computer and just want to enjoy playing vg on your sofa...
Which remind me again, why can't a pc do that? I mean I did it yesterday.
Lol! Then don't get a vita! That remote play will keep you in bed all day!
Now instead of focusing on improving what devs can do with the current consoles, they are now all going to have to make things work with both consoles which just hurts game development.
but.... you know..... just get a pc and stop beeing a filthy peasant.
Scott Robbins Finally, someone who's above the bullshit pc/console wars.
Andrei James Yes it has but no on all games.
I was able to trade in my PS4 to get the Pro and right now it looks great on my 4K TV. Destiny 2 is legendary on it.
Man I'm just getting a PS4 for all of the Kingdom Hearts Remixes and KH3 plus any other good looking exclusives like Until Dawn or the Uncharted series
Mrstobastoba Ofc you are look at your fucking profile pic

Afg 13 yeah I was thinking that thanks good call
No problem man.
Remember, Sony is backstabbing everyone that bought the base and Slim ps4.
In no way i can support that.
you're just gettting a PS4? wow
Is the pro worth it?
@@lavonteballard77 Absolutely!! Don't get me wrong it's not going to be as good as a PS5 but it holds up even now. Just started playing the Skyrim anniversary addition and not only does it look great (for a game that's older than ten years now) but the load times are considerably quicker. There's still plenty of potential in this console and for the price it's definitely still worth it.

Randy Bradley but its not worth according to price .... but no hude difference ... i can tell that
Ya, That's true. I only bought one at launch because I only paid around $125 CAD for mine. But, If you had to pay the full purchase price where I'm from in Canada of $565 I wouldn't have bothered.
Randy Bradley ya ... instead of that ill buy games with that extra pro cost
Ya, I like my PRO and am happy that the games run a lot smoother on it over my original PS4.
I think I'm going to get a ps4 pro because I don't have a ps4 so in my opinion that extra hundred bucks would be worth it right? cuz I'm going to get one either way

But looking at the graphics from PS4, it really makes me feel like coming back to this again. I am ordering a 4k TV first.
PS4 slim 500gb vs. PS4 Pro 1tb
the price difference between the two systems are 3 games (at least where i come from)... so either I can get a slim + 3 games, or get a Pro without games... for the same price! why would you ever want to get the Pro? it's way too expensive! the reason i never got a PS4 in the first place was because it was too expensive (not to mention, if you don't have a 4k TV and don't plan on getting one, then it makes even less sense to get a Pro, even more so considering the fact it doesn't even support 4k blurays!), but the PS4 slim has a pretty good value, but I can't say the same about the Pro...
John Smith save your money up and get what you want!!!! Life’s to short to say no to what you really want !!
why nobody talks about how the psvr is improved or not on the ps4 pro. I want a review of the psvr on pro.

Mathieu Vachon PSVR isnt that good, its uncomfortable and has poor graphics compared to the Oculus and Vive.
+MorimotoYTP why should people talk about damn Nintendo when they didn't even release their goddamn console
Ben
You must not have tried it or read anything about the PSVR. Even the people who say it has not as good graphics (which should be obvious for half the price) agree that it is by far the MOST comfortable of the three. It also has the advantage of not needing a 2 thousand dollar gaming PC to run properly.
TIDE Kabilla Why do people talk so much about Xbox Scorpio when we know so little about the console and would come next year?
This was super helpful for me :) thank you!
did you bought a ps4 pro ? how was it ?
I've been contemplating on getting a PS4 pro. Ive been searching the internet to see if it's really worth it. The biggest selling point for me is smarter more complex AI. Sure graphical upgrades are going to be nice but having more intelligent enemies and "random life" is going to be sweet.
If you own a PS4 already, it's not really worth it, but if you don't own one yet, buy the Pro.
Ps5 will probably come out next year so for some people they should just save
@@desox123 I think it's around November 2020
@@didelisidiotas7424 Sounds right. Pointless to buy a console so late in its lifecycle unless you can find one for dirt cheap.

Hey from the future here with a ps5
More games should have high framerate/better visuals options like GTA 5
LaurensGaming gta isn't even a good game
I have noticed a lot of differences and I must say the pro is a perfect machine it's much smoother and is definitely faster at loading especially if you have fiber internet. Plus the picture is a lot clearer if you have a 4K tv.
Honestly I've got this just for spyro later this year
Just change HDD in your regular PS4 if you want more space
Cate B - oooooor get a PC
Gabriel Kero 2 expensive m8
Gabriel Kero I am a PC gamer my self but there is no need to shove buying a pc down people's throats.they never said consoles were better or caused anything to prompt you to say buy a pc. Its a persons choice even if its not a better one.
all in all $ costs are equivalent
it simply takes an overhead when converting
People don't realize that choosing consoles over PCs doesn't mean saving money but time. You have less to worry about, you plug it in and you're ready to play whenever you want.
Feels more premium? How much did you get paid to say that lol.
