Change Output Device to USB Headset (A50 X). Change Switch Output Device Automatically to On. Under Headphones, change Output to Headphones to Voice Chat Audio. Change HDMI Device Type to TV. Under General, change Audio Format (Priority) to Linear PCM. From the PlayStation Home Screen, navigate to Settings > Sound > 3D Audio for TV Speakers Change Enable 3D Audio for TV Speakers to On. Change Apply Measurement Results to 3D Audio to Off.
Thanks! Can confirm this works, so this video guide is wrong. Easy way to test is join a party and use the chat mixer, this video is clearly wrong or the headset or PS5 needs a firmware update. This is a workaround until it's fixed! :)

You have to connect it this way to get audio on both your headset and passthrough to your capture card for streaming . Ps5 hdmi goes to your in on your capture card then from your capture card itll connect to the headsets on the correct console hdmi . The main hdmi on the astro dock has to be connected to your monitor . Then youll be able to get audio on both headset and capture card . Audio will pass to your capture when headset is on . Remember to set the audio output on your console to hdmi tv to capture the gamechat . You still need an external mic if your streaming and want your audience to hear you .
Yes, if you plug the PC USB into the PS USB slot, you will be able to hear the PS5 audio through HDMI and the PC audio through USB at the same time. However, we recommend using Bluetooth for voice chat while playing on either console mode.

my a50x wont even work at all have everything pluged up and i have two white blinking lights and bluetooth and the switch button wont swithc to my ps5 from my xbox it wont do anything sat on the phone for 3 hours and nothing
@@BlackOpsCobranot sure if you were able to figure it out. But your PS5 and Series X might have got automatically set to 120 HZ. And you will need to get back into the settings and change it to 60 HZ. Unless your tv or monitor has that. Mine doesn't and it didn't work because of that setting that automatically set to by plugging in the headset
Don't listen to this, dolby atmos is fine, I use dolby atmos with my home theater system and my Playstation 5, it's just whatever to your liking of what you choose, some people choose pcm because of compress sound but dolby atmos gives you everything and more as long as your system or tv has it available
I just used the cube plugged it into the outlet connected the red usb-c to the station and then got the other cable usb-c with the usb-a end and connected it to the ps5 and it worked. I don’t understand why I need another HDMI cord and the manual is completely wrong
If you watch the video you’ll see: your PS/cbox HDMI goes into the PS/xbox port on the base station, the the line HDMI port goes into your monitor. It’s all explained in the video guy
@@TheEbsorcistyou have to turn it down to 50% volume for it not to pick up the audio leak. That’s insane and you shouldn’t have to compromise the volume just to have the mic not pick up the gameplay. That’s clearly a defect that needs to be fixed
If you only connect USB to the PS5, you will lose the ability to experience audio at 24bit 48kHz, as your audio experience will be capped at 16bit 48kHz for both consoles. However, you can still maintain 24bit 48kHz audio for your PC.
it doesn't have an optical port anywhere....doesn't work if you're trying to stream and capture game audio plus be able to turn on or off your teamates sound on the stream.
So can't get a display from my monitor, Using an Acer X32 FP monitor and it just refuses to display anything through the dac. The audio comes through but no video output. I'm just using mine with the usb connection and have my consoles connected to my monitor, works perfectly fine that way. I know that I'm missing out a key feature of the dac, But it's stupid that I can't get a signal out of it. If anyone has any tips on how to get it to work please let me know. I have the hdmi out connected to the display and connected the consoles with both hdmi and usb connections as instructed, all my hdmi cables are ultra high speed hdmi 2.1 cables.
@@ljb7572 Unfortunately not with that display. After I got the Alienware AW3225QF, It worked perfectly with that one. It also works perfectly with the MSI MPG321URX that i got recently. It sucks that it doesn't work with all displays.

Sorry but I have my a50x settings different the way your settings are you can’t change between game and voice if you do that the audio falls off the whole settings you prefer are not the right ones for ps5

Once connected youll get both audio from console and headset at the sametime whether the headset is on or off audio will go through . Also on the ps5 settings your audio output should be hdmi tv so you can get the gamechat . Basically your capture card has to be connected before your dock . Ps5 to CaptureCard to Dock to Monitor .

We didn't opt for the Dolby Atmos option on the Audio Format (priority) because the PS5's Atmos function does not currently support HDMI headsets, and we want to ensure a seamless audio experience for our users. As of now, we don't officially support Atmos on PS5.

Had same problem, but it was because the usb c cabel not sticked right in my docking station you have to put the usb side in your ps5 and the usb-c side in your docking station on "PS5" properly
When I try to prioritise voice on the headset all it does is make things more quiet for both game and chat. If I move more to prioritize game it actually mixes the voice more with game audio. Anyone got any idea why this happens?

My headphones blink red even tho it’s fully charged once I put my headphones on the dock. Once I turn them on to use then it’ll just have static and it won’t sync with the doc at all

I turned my HDCP off and now I don’t get the dreaded “No HDMI device connected” screen anymore on my OLED tv when switching games or when turning my PS5 on. There is so much crap that has to work together it seems like anymore for these electronics to work flawlessly. I guess if I ever run into a problem later on, I can toggle HDCP back on and see it it fixes it.
Best Buy has both color options available but in limited quantities. I just picked up the black version and am already overwhelmed by how many cables it requires just for PS5 setup. My desk setup was all neat but now I have to do more cable management. What's worse is that even with everything working I am just not blown away by them. I mainly play shooters and my previous Stealth Pro have far better imaging to pick out directional sound. Going to mess around with them a few days then return if I'm not fully satisfied. Especially considering the price point.
I put all the cables in the right position from The doc to my monitor and ps5 i can only connect with the headset when the hdmi 2.1 cable is in ps5 to my monitor and not from the doc to the monitor . Maby somebody can help me ?

Plug one HDMI into the base station to the TV. Plug the other HDMI cable from the PS5 to the base station.
I have a Samsung monitor and I have no video signal. I can hear but can’t see.

It’s usually the volume of your headset. The mic picks up your headset audio. Turn it down a little bit and see if it’s any better

What would be the downside if I only connect USB to the ps5? I want to avoid all this cabling mess. What will I lose by doing that?
If you only connect USB to the PS5, you will lose the ability to experience audio at 24bit 48kHz, as your audio experience will be capped at 16bit 48kHz for both consoles. However, you can still maintain 24bit 48kHz audio for your PC.

How do you use chat mix? The way this is setup, chat mix is not a thing anymore so the two side buttons for voice and game are useless on PS5…
Chat via USB and other sounds via HDMI. Just like it's always been except it's HDMI instead of an optical cable.

No, those are only visual settings that directly correspond to only the monitor. Has nothing to do with audio or the headset.

My headphones blink red even tho it’s fully charged once I put my headphones on the dock. Once I turn them on to use then it’ll just have static and it won’t sync with the doc at all

When streaming through my capture card I have to make sure the PS5 HDCP is off, will that effect how this headset works when streaming?
I turned my HDCP off and now I don’t get the dreaded “No HDMI device connected” screen anymore on my OLED tv when switching games or when turning my PS5 on. There is so much crap that has to work together it seems like anymore for these electronics to work flawlessly. I guess if I ever run into a problem later on, I can toggle HDCP back on and see it it fixes it.

Best Buy has both color options available but in limited quantities. I just picked up the black version and am already overwhelmed by how many cables it requires just for PS5 setup. My desk setup was all neat but now I have to do more cable management. What's worse is that even with everything working I am just not blown away by them. I mainly play shooters and my previous Stealth Pro have far better imaging to pick out directional sound. Going to mess around with them a few days then return if I'm not fully satisfied. Especially considering the price point.

I put all the cables in the right position from The doc to my monitor and ps5 i can only connect with the headset when the hdmi 2.1 cable is in ps5 to my monitor and not from the doc to the monitor .
