This was great, we have been thinking abiut relocating. I'm also from socal and have 2 questions. How are the schools and how diverse is the area?

Awesome! I’m from Gardena (if you’re familiar with the area?) and then lived in South OC for 8 years before moving to Kingwood.
To answer your questions, the schools are great in Kingwood. It’s actually one of the main reasons I get from families with kids wanting to live in this area. Here’s a link to niche.com which shows the school ratings and diversity rating which is an A. That rating is based off of ethnic and economic diversity: www.niche.com/places-to-live/n/kingwood-area-houston-tx/
Let me know if you have any other questions, and be sure to reach out if/when you’re ready to make the move 😄

Do you feel like it was easy to make new friends? Someone said its clickey…

Hi! My wife and I didn’t really have an issue with making friends. My wife is a hairstylist so she met coworkers and new clients that have become friends…I made friends once we joined a great church in the area.
I think I know which video you watched where the person said it is very cliquish here, I was honestly kind of surprised when I saw that because that hasn’t been our experience. People here are very friendly. A lot of people that we meet are not from here, so everyone kind of has the same mindset…like just hanging out and raising their families.
You have some people that are born and raised here that can come off a bit snobby lol but I feel like it’s few and far between, and that’s probably everywhere.
